I guess I'll never learn. This Jack can be good when it wants to, but when they don't care its very evident in what they serve. Tonight ordered my usual burger and an order of tacos. Got my guest a salad and a breakfast bowl. Well the salad was the only thing these _____'s got right. The tacos were up charged and changed to a sourdough jack after I pulled forward, and thats what they gave me. Every other item was right but made incorrectly. By the time we got back home I was not in the mood to go back. I'd recommend that if you drop by that you double check your order before leaving. We thank them for being open on Thanksgiving Day. We were without power at home that day (thanks so much, SCE) and hadn't had anything to eat as we were minimizing accessing the refrigerator. Also, no hot coffee, no toast, etc. We were headed to Thanksgiving in the Valley, but needed something to jump-start energy to make it into the day. We hadn't been to this location before, and were grateful that there was some food available on a holiday. I opted for a breakfast combo plate, which tasted a bit like it came out of vending machine, but it was warm. Normally, JITB is one of the few fast food places that we visit as they normally don't make the food until you order it, so that it comes to you hot and reasonably fresh. We sat at the bar height counter, looking out the window at the heavy winds blowing tree branches around. It wasn't that crowded inside, so we had a quiet meal. As I recall, the interior was clean, if very sterile. If we are going to one of Jack's places, it's usually the one on the far western end of Simi, so this was a new experience for us. I attempted to order a chicken sandwich and apparently I was speaking to a girl whom reported being the manager. I was in the drive thru and said that I was looking to order a chicken sandwich which I had never ordered before, she directed me to the classic number 5 but I couldn't find where it said classic anywhere on the menu for the chicken sandwich as I wanted to know what was on it- she seemed to have lost patience and told me to get some number special, come to find out that the order she was directing me to wasn't a sandwich at all but chicken in a flour tortilla, she then left the intercom and told me by- there were two cars ahead of me so not only did she not take my order she made me wait in line as I couldn't get out after her attitude and mishandling of my order I wasn't going to dare order and chance her spitting in my food- she was completely rude and I then was hot and angry with her lack of respect! Why even have a manager which one, is not patient with what I wasn't describing and then directs me to something I didn't even want, I said sandwhich not a chicken burrito- I had worked all day and hadn't had anything to eat, I come to this location or send someone about 4 times a week and wanted something different, my order alone averages $30, to be treated like shit and then when I drive up to the window she starts being a smart ass while tilting her head left to right and when I asked who the manager was she said she was, I told her I would be contacting corporate and she said, "oh well, go head!" Let me preface this review by saying that I've been a fan of Jack in the Box tacos since I was a kid. I hadn't had them in a while and decided to treat myself. I went online to place an order for pick up and was thrilled to see that they still offered two tacos for $0.99 and had value fries for $1.99. What a deal, only $3.20 with tax to enjoy a meal that I love. I thought, wow, cheers to Jack in the Box for keeping fast food affordable! I decided that since it was so close to home, I'd just go through the drive thru instead of ordering online. I knew what I wanted so I placed my order and was told my total was $5.02? I said what? The young man told me that they didn't have value fries, and the regular fries were $2.99. I told him that they're on the menu online and he said they don't have them anymore. Another car pulled up behind me, so I just moved forward and paid for my food, albeit very disappointed and a bit angry. As I drove home, I thought wait a minute, how much were the tacos? Usually, this place is OK but with the store manager Mira ..every time I go in there for some reason she does not want to sell me ANY...extra good good stuff every Jack-in-the-Box they I have gone to has no problem.. it's been an ongoing thing with her. She's only has a problem with me apparently because I've sent in my nephew and my mother, and they had no problem getting them..but she will NOT sell them to me. I live right around the corner and I like to put iit on other foods.. and it's super convenient that this Jack-in-the-Box is right by me .. but she would not even sell me one extra... and even if I buy food, she said I only get 1 with the food and I can't buy any extra.. I've complain to corporate and still haven't heard back from them.. all it is is a dumb little sauce package and this lady must think it's coming out of her paycheck.. Everyone else is there is nice enough. And nighttime manager guy manager is great. I also do DoorDash and Uber eats so I'm in there multiple times a day. When I do swing by it is usually after 10pm and lately it's like they have been cooking their meat patties far in advance and just let them sit and dry out for who knows how long before serving them to some poor sucker like me. Same with the fries.... how do you serve COLD french fries? How do you deep fry a mozzerella stick without ever making the cheese hot and melty? Nearly died of food poisoning from eating here on three separate occasions over the course of many years. It's obvious the district manager and corporate don't care about food safety or the well being of their customers. Do not eat here you will get sick and likely die. They also regularly forget to put cheese on burgers. My friend also has a problem getting his ebt card read whenever he goes here, I think their reader wasn't working when we went in. Honestly, I won't be coming back here. The staff were rude and messed my order up twice. I ordered two Jumbo Jacks with no mayo or cheese and the first time, they put cheese on them. I told them, again, I didn't want cheese or mayo. So they asked me to pull to the front and wait. I waited about 5 minutes and a cashier brought them out to me. She tossed them at me and walked off. I checked them and found them smothered in mayo. I went back through the drive thru again and when I got to the window and the manager tried to only give me one sandwich. I am giving this location 5 stars, not because of the quality of the food because there is always atleast one thing wrong with my order. I am giving 5 stars because of the outstanding customer service I received at 1:00 in the morning from Martin! He was so patient with me as he listed the different beverages you had not once, not twice, but three times as I had my daughter on the phone relaying it to her but not able to remember them all. Finally I put the phone out of the window as he repeated it for the third time. He spoke slow enough for her to hear him, unlike many that speak so fast the words sometimes run together, if they are understood at all. He was pleasant and didn't have that "will you hurry up" tone in his voice. When I got to the window, he was still extremely pleasant and explained there would be a wait as the fries were being made. From the beginning of the initial contact until I received my order, Martin was AWESOME! Thank you for giving great customer service Martin! You are an asset to your employer. read more

If there's any type of line you WILL wait a long time. Last night I drove through and they gave me the wrong type of fries so I drove through again and waited through the line. As I drove away after they replaced them I had a sip of my drink and realized it was tea instead of Coke. I don't know how they could mess my order up so bady but I drive through again and wait forever again. I told the guy named Jesus that all my food is cold now and I'm annoyed and I'd like the entire meal replaced on another visit. Right then and there he writes it down, I watch him. The next day I come to retrieve my meal and the manager says they don't have it written down anywhere and certainly didn't seem like she wanted to give it to me. I said well that's what Jesus told me and I told him that I never got a receipt so to make sure it was saved. He assured me. I explained what he looked like and I was getting frustrated then she gives me an attitude and said I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU YOUR MEAL I was just asking what it was. So I ordered a $6 munchie meal and got a grilled cheese cheeseburger that had cheese that looked old and wasnt even melted. So the first time this happened the district manager called me and said to go get another free meal since the fries were cold and tacos were too and it was just gross tastes like dog food smells. So the second time I go in to get my free meal I ordered the same thing and had the same thing happen except the fries and tacos were warm but the grilled cheese part and the cheese on the burger was not melted so IT WAS NOT COOKED abd it was a soggy sandwich which was gross NOT FRESH LIKE IT SHOULD BE. The district manager decided to call me A LIAR AND said she "checked the cameras" and said my order was cooked. I could not believe the arrogance of this lady bot only that but how rude everyone is there. Being a business owner I pride myself in making sure my customers are happy and treated RIGHT. I will be going to corporate and have this place audited and they REALLY REALLY NEED NEW MANAGMENT. I often wonder about lunch whilst sitting in my cube. Usually around ten, I get the first inklings of thoughts and ideas of what I'm in the mood for. Sometimes I look through the emails that I get from the various restaurant chains. Sometimes I turn my gameboy photo-slide show on, and view countless photos of various foods I've eaten in the past. Today was an email day. Just about the time I was starting to wonder about lunch, my email notification popped up a message from Jack in the Box. Curious, I opened up the email, and was happy when I saw it contained a coupon. "Buy one hot Mess Burger, get a hot Cinnamon Shake" My carpool buddy often refers to me as a 'hot mess', and part of me wanted to try the burger because of that connection. So, I asked a friend if she wanted to go and get a free hot cinnamon shake. I then mentioned that I had no ride. So she agreed to drive in exchange for a coupon. We drove down there in her car...her car with so very many, many girly stickers and great big purple eyelashes stuck over the headlights. I got into the car quickly, and got out even quicker. I could feel my man-card status wavering the longer I spent in the vehicle. We walked in, and the place was noticeably clean. There were only a few people in the place. As I approached the counter and I was greeted cheerfully. I thrust out my coupon at the lady and said "I have a coupon!" She nodded, and took the printout, and pushed the corresponding buttons on her register. She tried to upsell the 'hot mess' fries, but I was perfectly content with just the shake and burger. The burger was four and change, and the shake was another three. But, since the shake was free, the end tally was four dollars and sixty one cents. I grabbed a brushed stainless steel table, and sat down in a high stool. I do kinda enjoy the brushed stainless steel tables at Jack in the Box. They just seem so very clean...wait.....except this one...there's a dot of some kinda sauce...I moved to the next table over, and it also looked clean. My number was called a moment after I sat down. (Figures) I went back up to the counter and grabbed my tray. The shake was being finished, and I had to wait there for an extra second or two before a cup full to the hole in the top of the lid was thrust at me. I walked back to the table, with tray in hand. My friend had few more moments, as she had been suckered in by the hot mess fry upsell. I unwrapped the burger and took my yelp photos. It looked good. It was on their round sourdough rolls, and had jalapenos and cheese dribbling down one side. The onion rings inside were hidden, and a neat surprise. I stuck the straw into the shake and sucked. Jack in the box shakes are thick. Once I got to taste it, I was reminded of those hot-cinnamon fireball candies I used to eat when I was a Cub Scout back at summer camp. Both the burger and shake were tasty. My friend was dredging her hot mess fries in ranch dressing, and seemed to be enjoying them. They looked messy...and fork worthy.
