Since I moved to this neighborhood in 2004, this Jack In The Box has always had unprofessional people working there, sloppy food put together by incompetent workers and want to charge for every condiment. I had not been to this place since 2019 and today I gave it one more try. Chicken strips were fine. Jumbo Jack with cheese was ok. My six tacos were so sad. I could count the lettuce with one hand and the cheese was half hanging out of the tacos. Forget the quality of the food. I asked if I could get a couple of ranch packets for my five piece chicken strips. They told me no. They could only give me one packet for five piece. I asked if I can get 30 packets of hot sauce because I use five packets per taco. They said no, we can only give you one packet per taco. I asked if I could pay extra so I can enjoy my food the way I want and they said no. Ugh! I can't believe how some people wake up everyday to work at a place like this and talk to paying customers like this. What a horrible living. Anyways, I'm NEVER going back to this Jack In The Box EVER!!! You think your life is tough. Pay a visit to this Jack place and you'll feel better about yourself. read more

Still to this day September 2024 Jack in the box has poor customer service especially through the drive through, Itd been about 4 times where they got my order wrong when I specifically told them what I wanted and they give no sauce when you ask for extra poor management get the drive through to step up read more

They brought back the Teriyaki Rice Bowls after a brief hiatus and I'm hooked on them. In fact the Teriyaki Bowls made the Healthy Dining List at http://www.healthydiningfinder.com/restaurant/?id=133. Filled with chicken with broccoli and carrots on a bed of rice makes for a very healthy meal. I ask them to go light on the teriyaki sauce because the sauce recipe was changed and has more pepper than the last sauce they had. You can always ask for teriyaki sauce on the side and add it as you wish. With the combo deal you get an egg roll (which is quite good) and a drink. The new flavored iced teas are not worth the extra price. You're better off getting flavored iced tea in a bottle or from the fountain elsewhere. Ok so here's a funny story for you: They have a new girl who works during the daytime and she just isn't good at her job, the poor thing. She doesn't seem to speak English that well so she has a really hard time getting orders right. I'm talking repeating my order several times slowly, going back and confirming each item a few times and generally taking waaay longer than ordering two sandwich combos SHOULD take. I wanted a strawberry lemonade with my food. And she didn't seem to quite get that. She asked me to repeat it. A lot. My partner was getting ticked off but hey, I don't mind if it means they just want to be sure my order is right. Nope. I go to the window and they hand me a regular lemonade. I take one look at it, look back at the man in the window and say "this isn't mine. I ordered a strawberry lemonade" and yknow what he says? He says "no" to me. I wasn't mad, I was just dumbfounded. He takes the drink back and talks to the girl who can't talk. So he's merrily fixing her mistake and she's just standing there angrily side eyeing me as he hands me my food. I just smile and wave. Maintaining eye contact and a big smile with her, I asked my partner to go over the receipt out loud and check to be sure our food was right. And that's the story of how a jack in the box employee tried to fight me. Don't go here if you're in a hurry. This last Sunday morning went to Jack in the box to buy two spicy chicken sandwiches one with a meal. Arrived home to eat my to go and realized they gave me the new cluck chicken meal. After I started eating the sandwich I realize that it was not the spicy chicken. It was very bland and not that good. The spicy chicken is much better. I had directly ordered number 10 on the menu a number of times to get it straight with the employee but obviously they didn't get that right. Tried calling to get this straightened out but they don't answer the phone and they don't answer the message I left on the machine. I don't know how you can communicate with these people but it's very disappointing and I'm going to have to go back in for refund for this screwup. When I got home the drinks sizes and flavors were wrong. I guess it was my fault for not checking those also. I do not approach Jack in the Box with high hopes-but this location is *particularly* inept. Long story short-on a recent trip to the drive-thru, it took 15 minutes to get a cup of flavored iced peach tea. There was one car ahead of me, one behind-blocking me from escaping and forcing me to see this through. The manager yelled at me through the intercom after I'd waited 10 minutes asking what size I wanted. I said whatever the size was on their menu, since they only had one size advertised for the Peach flavored tea. He yelled again, I assured him whatever was $2.59 would be fine. 5 minutes later, they bring me a standard ice tea. They effed up a single beverage order, after 15 minute wait. The snarky and vicious attitude was enough to put me off. I understand these people aren't highly paid-but you know what? You have a job. 11% of people right now don't. Its time to swallow a little pride and give a little customer service. Otherwise-kick their a$$es to the curb and hire someone else who is unemployed and can be a little more helpful. read more

When you are tired of the same old Mac food, try some Jack for once. It's not the same old Jack like the old days, it's better. Jack got some moves with his Jumbo burger politely known as the Jumbo Jack, the most recognizable burger for fast food. I had a JJ here and it tasted better than a 1/4 pounder without the bacon but once you add their applewood variety, forget about it!! NO one can top the great value like 2 tacos for 99 cents and although its on the greasy side, it was good enough to fill the hunger need quick. Use the drive thru if you plan to order to go, nice cool shade unlike other drives thru. Don't get their bite size nuggets, it's gross tasting. Get their bigger tenders if you want finger food. I'm normally a fan of Jack in the Box since we don't have them in our area, but this was quite a disappointment. We were on our way back from Napa Valley and were looking for a place to stop and get a bite. Jack in the Box was the first place that was along the route for us. It's your typical fast food restaurant, only thing was that the food was very bland, almost didn't have a taste to it. I also decided to try the tacos, which were clearly just refrigerated and heated up in a microwave. Don't plan on stopping at this JitB again anytime soon. read more

I'm surprised this JITB is not on it's location radar. This particular one has been a regular stop when I travel on the 101N. Not really a fastfood fan but when I need a quick meal that I can rely on, this is my stop. They don't have JITB in my home state of CT. There was one, back when I was younger. When they installed the inflatable "Jack" head outside in it's sign, someone shot it's hat and it remained deflated for the duration of the restaurant, which was less then a year. I now choose JITB over McD's. The burgers taste like a burger should taste and the fries look and taste like they were actually handcut (Not likely) This particular JITB is situated off the 101 where it's easy off, easy on. I usually come here to fulfill my iced tea addiction but always give myself at least ten minutes to get served. Sometimes I change it up for a milk shake, but that is for a special day. Everybody is speaking Spanish to each other with all English speaking patrons. I am a frequent customer of jack in the box in San Diego as I lived one block away from it and they gave me complimentary coupons. I moved here in Novato and prior to ordering at the drive thru I mentioned that I have a complimentary meal coupon. The guy took my order and proceeded to the next window. The lady won't accept my coupon even though it's not expired and can be use at any jack in the box. I was told the manager won't take it and I need to redeem it to the branch I got it from. I explained I got it from San Diego. I just don't understand why can't they accept it. It's corporate. I used it all the time at other branches and no question ask. Only this location I got a problem. The lady added that she can give me a small free meal if I write a review. I said I can do that. And so I got my free small meal and giving them a small star. While I'm standing behind the counter waiting for my hamburger, I see the cook preparing other meals. He does not wear gloves or use any other type of tool to pick up the meat or produce...just his bare hands. He touches the food, freezer handles, wipes his hands on his shirt and goes back to touching the food and preparing burgers. Totally disgusting.
