I live in San Antonio and Jack-in-the-box stops are always mediocre, at best. Today I stopped at noon on our way back home and I was blown away with the service and quality of food. As a family of five we were able to get a variety of food and it was all well prepared. The vegetable on our burgers were fresh, crispy lettuce, that has probably never happened before. The sourdough jack was actually grilled on both sides of the bun! At most we usually receive it with only one side toasted. Fresh fries were a hit with the kids. I am currently on my way to San Antonio on vacation to visit my brother. I had not eaten any breakfast this morning so I decided to stop at Jack In The Box in Columbus Texas. I hadn't been to Jack in the Box in a long time. I decided to try the Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo. The service was pretty good, they asked me to pull up because my chicken wasn't done. I waited about 10 mins and the lil guy came out and asked if I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo and i replied yes. He said okay ill be right back. I waited another 10 minutes or so and A man came out with my order. He introduced himself and said he was the Manager. He apologized multiple times for the wait on my order and explained there was a mix up on my order was given to the wrong person. He apologized again and gave my order fresh and hot and also gave me a free piece of cheesecake. The service was impeccable and the food was awesome. Thanks for the great Service. read more

Burgers were juicy! Everything was fresh! Fast and friendly customer service. The only thing I would recommend is to go a little light on the butter unless you like it dripping. The soda tastes amazing there too. I put only 4 stars because it's obviously not a 5-star restaurant but I have no complaints. read more

I'd give zero but you can't. Absolutely the worst establishment I've been in since moving to Texas. Is everyone here rude or what!!! What happen to customer service, was it lost past the Mason Dixon line or what? Southern hospitality is lost here. On top of the rude lady who ignored us as we stood waiting to order, this place if filthy. I'm ashamed to actually be in here eating. But as rude as these ladies are, I can see why so many patrons decided to just leave their trash on tables. I mean these ladies won't even dump a trash bin! On top of that... Women's restroom has toilet paper in only one stall which had broken lock. Paper towel machine broke The drink machine had one of those where you could supposedly have hundreds of choices. It had two. Everything else was grayed out. When was last time it was attended to ? You're on a major highway between two of the largest cities in the United States and you don't have Diet Coke ? I stopped here to use the facilities and get myself some real breakfast on Monday morning. I had a complete disappointment in Houston at the McDonald's where the biscuit had ruined everything. I went in and after taking care of business, I went to the drive thru. I ordered 2 of the egg and cheese croissant sandwiches without any meat. The manager seemed to be working the window and assured me there was no meat. That was surprising till he mentioned that as a Hindu, I probably did not eat meat. I played along since I did not want to dampen his enthusiasm. I smiled, paid him and drove off as he asked me to stop by again. This is the most disgusting Jack in the Box I have ever been to. Appears to be understaffed. There's leaking water down the restroom hall way making it a very dangerous situation. The men's room smells of stale urine, obviously not cleaned very often. Paper towels all over the ground as well. The dining area hasn't been picked up in hours. Really don't see how it stays open. This place got the 3 strike rule up against it. Would not serve me twice, once the employees were visible, laughing and joking but would not answer drive up. Last strike, I was there for breakfast and they had no eggs... Friends have had similar experiences there. Where else can you go at 12:30 AM on the Interstate?? Believe me we looked. The food was fast food and edible. The service was well...angry. We definitely felt our invasion was bothering whatever they were doing behind the little window. You know when you get up at 5 AM drive to Houston and back to Austin in the same day, your perception can be a little off like having a feeling you are being yelled at through the little ordering box, bu we quickly realized there was no misunderstanding to a bag being thrown into a car. This is hands down the worst Jack in the box I've ever been to. What a burger was packed, atleast 10 cars in line. No one in line at Jack in the box. Now I know why. I usually like the chicken fajita pita. Although we were the only car in line, service was still very slow. That's o.k. , they must be making it fresh right? Wrong. Ordered thru the window, the service was good, but the homestyle chicken sandwich had a layer of fat or skin, could not tell, but it made it hard to bite through and it looked like I got the curly fries that had been settling at the bottom all day and it was only 1pm?? We keep trying Jack's but this is the last time. Their food is poor to mediocre. Prices are too high for what is offered. Tacos are absolutely the worst. Don't know what is in them but it's about one tablespoon of ???meat??at least it's supposed to be meat. Hamburgers are not flavorful. The tea should be good because of the brand but falls short due to improper preparation. Will pick Whataburger or Burger King next time cause they're right across the road. read more

I've been staying in Columbus for 9 months and each time I've eaten at Jack In the Box (3 times) they've got the order wrong. I don't know why I keep going back. If only I had the option to NOT choose a star... this place was disgusting. Bugs in the bathroom as well as the food. Employees were rude. They didn't have napkins, and every table was dirty. Not busy what so ever and I guess it's due to its lack of neatness. We were asked if we wanted a refund and we said YES, but got nothing out of it. my wife and I stopped in on 6/24/17 for 3 breakfast jacks. the staff looked at us and then after about 15 minutes I said "could someone take my order please," kid took our order did not give me receipt, and it took another fifteen minutes to get our order. At the same time an elderly woman was at the counter for about ten minutes and was completely ignored. I asked them to take her order. A gentleman walked up from finishing his meal and asked the staff if he was ever going to get his coffee. They just stared at him. While all of this was going on, one of the employees started an argument with a customer at the drive thru and was yelling at them that they had an attitude. This Jack in the box was horrible and if management can't run this place it needs to be shut down. it's filthy, employees are under trained, and have low moral. read more

We pulled in to JB to get one of their yummy chocolate shakes. While waiting in the drive thru line, I hopped out of the car to get a bottle of water I had in the back seat. Unknown to me, my glasses were in my lap, and they fell out of the car at that time. After turning my car upside down, I finally took a long shot and called the Jack in the Box. Someone had actually turned them in, and the one I reached on the phone, Patricia, who had probably had a long night, was so nice to me. She didn't just dump them in a drawer! She said she would mail them to me (I live in Austin) and was so kind. I do love their shakes, but love that they were so kind and put themselves out to return them to me. And see they have great customers so thank you to the anonymous person who picked them up and turned them in. read more
