Very disappointed with my purchase. This was last year's Christmas gift from my husband, and it started fraying within six months. Within four months later, it started fraying in a different spot. I got a hold of CS and they kindly offered to fix it, however, I had to ship the item back to them at my expense. I will definitely not buy from this company again. So, BEWARE.

Jack George's Tote bag and wristlet

At the time that I purchased these items I called myself splurging... I felt the strongest attraction to the bags for sure but the expensive outlay was at little much considering I was starting my notary business. However, it was well worth the cost... $199 for the book bag and the tote was $179. I think the quality of these bags is top notch. Great job this far. As you may be able to tell it's filled out with all my notary supplies!

Love this bag! Fits what I need and sturdy enough to use every day

I love this bag!! I got the Arizona Messenger in Distressed Brown because I wanted something simple and classic that I could wear with just about any outfit. I was afraid to order something like this online, but I emailed customer service and they answered all my questions. It was packaged carefully and got to me pretty quickly. I like to wear good quality leather because it ages so well. The first time I scuffed my bag I was broken-hearted but it really does heal right up with a little rubbing. I think I will get my husband a backpack out of this same material because he needs something sturdy.

I decided to go with my gut when I saw the quality of the products and buy that perfect briefcase for my son's first job.

Rutherford Shoe Rebuilding - "Water got in the sole and pulled it up". What? Or how about you used cheap glue and didn't fix the problem.

This guys is a scam. I've been taking my shoes to get repaired for years. This was the first (and…read morelast) time I go here. 1) They over charge. I was shocked at the price to get my boots resoled but whatever, they are my favorite pair. When he wrote up the bill he added an extra ten dollars for shining them? Bullshit. I should have known then to leave. 2) I got them back and he glued on new heels and glued the toes where the sole was lifting up. Not more then a month later (I didn't even wear them that long) every place he "fixed" was coming apart. When I took them back today he LAUGHED in my face and his excuse was that "water got between the two pieces and it pulled up." I'm sorry. I've NEVER heard that excuse before. I've been getting my shoes fixed for years and the only reason I bring them back is because I walked too much in them and they are worn down again. He used bad glue and blamed bad weather? Hahahah that's so laughable. Oh. And it's cash only. I wonder why. Save your money. Do not take your shoes here to be fixed. This guy is a joke and you're the punch line.

I took my beloved Kor-Ease shoes there for repair. The strap on the side was broken and the heel…read morewas wearing down. Wore them twice after the repair and the strap broke again and I fell down in the middle of a New York street...not to mention that the heel is already starting to wear down. The owner does not speak English, or at least this is what he had trouble with when I asked him why the black rubber heel had been replaced with a brown one. I would not recommend this repair shop, based on this. I will just take the financial loss and go somewhere else to have them fixed. I doubt he'd do anything different--and the last thing I want to do is flop down in the middle of a dirty side walk again. It's a cash only business...and now I know why.

Plz don't come if you don't want to ruin your day!…read more I've been to this shoe repair store three times, and unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing due to the rude and unprofessional attitude of the staff member there. The boss was fine, but the staff was truly rude. Dealing with such a thing on Saturday literally ruined my weekend. Therefore, I wish to share the whole story with you guys here. On my third visit, I clearly told the staff that I didn't want to spend too much on an outsole replacement, since this particular pair of shoes only cost $95. I even said that if the cost was too high, I would prefer to buy a new pair. The staff assured me the job would be $35, which I agreed to. However, when I returned to pick up the shoes, I was suddenly told the price was $85. I felt helpless since there was no invoice given, and the service has already been done. When I questioned the change, the staff became rude and dismissive, showing a very negative attitude rather than calmly explaining the misunderstanding. It turns out the $35 quote was only for the heel--not the full sole replacement--which was never made clear to me. Thankfully, the boss stepped in and agreed to a $50 charge, which I accepted. But the damage was already done in terms of the experience. After the boss agreed on $50, the staff becomes even more rude to me. This is the reason why I would like to share this experience with everybody else to help your guys avoid such experience. What made this worse is that I had already been tolerant in the past. For example, during a previous service, the staff got black oil/dirt on my shoes which was a pair of brand new Saint Laurent sandals with retail price $770 dollars before tax, but I chose not to complain and continued to support the business. I expected a little more care and respect in return. Please refer to the attached pic for more details. After this last visit, I've lost trust in this store. I don't recommend going to a place where simple communication turns into conflict and customers are treated with such negativity. There are many other stores out there--choose one that values honesty and respectful service.

Mr Maksoud's Handbags & Shoe Repair - Before : My LV Neverfull GM handle was about to break

My wife found Mr. Maksoud's. At first I was a bit hesitant, but gave it a shot. The place is exactly what I like. Small, the smell of leather and shoe polish that greets you upon entering. Shoes and handbags strewed about. And in the middle of it all is George. Positive, quick with witty retorts, and busy working. He put new heels on a pair of old Cole Haan boots, that I wasn't ready to let go of. George even said they are nice and worth keeping. After about 9 days, I returned to pick them up. The work was great and the price was excellent. 40 dollars. Other places in the area would have charged double. I'm so glad my wife found this place. George also makes keys.

It's as skinny as my patience on a Monday morning--charming, sure, but not exactly built for heavy lifting. After dragging my tote across the globe and using it as a makeshift suitcase accessory, the inevitable happened: the handle started to part ways with the bag. Naturally, my first thought was to consult the LV store for repairs. When they quoted me a jaw-dropping $400 for handle replacements, I nearly choked on my avocado toast. Why shell out that much when the bag itself cost me $750 back in the day? And the repair time typically range from 12 to 26 weeks!!!! Time to shop around. Here's what I found: * Leather Spa 55 (NYC): $200 per handle. * Rago Brothers (NJ): Two new handles for around $395, or repairing one at the base for about $125. Basically, not much better than LV's offer. Just when I was about to resign myself to a life of broken bag straps, I stumbled upon rave reviews for Mr. Maksoud's Handbags & Shoe Repair. Words like "reasonable," "quick," and "great job" were being thrown around. Intrigued, I decided to give it a shot. Mr. Maksoud did not disappoint. He quoted me $200 for both handles, but since I brought my own leather handles from Etsy (because I'm resourceful like that), he only charged me $50. In just a week, he transformed my bag from tragic to magic. I couldn't be happier! Oh, and did I mention? Mr. Maksoud is quite the handsome gentleman. Highly recommended!
