First visit was excellent. Doctor actually does eye examination. Much better than a tech who hands you over. Appointment was on time.

After scrimping and saving to purchase a new pair, I was told about Dr. Lasher in Lakeport. I was told by two of his former clients that his office was excellent. I did not have much faith in any of the "Medical" establishment in Lake county, but he and his office are the exception. He and his staff were everything I hoped. I did not have his name, only directions to the office. I walked in without an appointment but was seen quickly. The exam was professional and precise. Within a few minutes I had my prescription and shortly thereafter I had selected my frames, decided on possible additions (transition coatings, bifocal, lens composition), paid for the package and was on my way to a celebration lunch. I applaud his fine Doctor, his attention to his profession, his colleagues, and the service to his clients. Do strongly consider seeing him for all you vision needs.

I love this place so much, I have had such terrible experiences with healthcare since I moved to Lakeport, but this place is a breath of fresh air. Everyone seemed to know what they were doing, they were very patient and kind. They try to get you an appointment ASAP. The lenses are not as expensive as I would think, but the frames are a little high. But it is worth the price to have such professional service.

I had been to Kaiser recently, and knew my eyes were fine, medically, and I could see fine. So went to Mark's shop, recently opened. They said fine, just sign a waver. New lenses done in 24 hours.. Since then, I've gone back for new reading glasses. Twice I've needed frame repair. . done both times with no charge, rapidly and with courtesy. Yesterday I dropped in for a frame repair for reading glasses. They had the part. All fixed, no cost, in 10 minutes while I waited outside. The shop is totally COVID-19 compliant. . sign says phone for appointment. . but their very friendly receoptionist saw me at the door phoning and came right out, with mask. My wife goes there also and with excellent results.

In Sonoma County I got my glasses for free, frameso were pretty high quality, adjustable, with about 50 choices. Here I got to choose from a very small (less than 10)assortment of frames, plastic, no adjustment, no style at all and they felt like dollar store glasses. Then they still charge you $20. Well I suppose you get what you pay for with him. So my glasses came and I started to get kind of balance or off center feelings. I look at something with an edge and it is crooked, like the edge tilts and things are asymmetrical. So I took them off and held them about 5 inches away from my face and looked again. My lenses were put in crooked, very crooked, and my bifocals are also crooked and off center. So I called and the guy who actually made them didn't seem to believe me but was nice and had me send them back to be fixed. In hindsite I will order my glasses online from now on. By the way, shipping my light plastic frames cost me another $20 and they didn't ship them. I had to call to tell them I paid for shipping. The doctor was nice enough but it all felt rehearsed. I will send them one time to see if they can get it right. Since I paid the money. Costco frames are about $90.
