They stopped accepting VSP (Vision Service Plan which is a insurance covering a lot of the costs and discounts on frames). They have their own plan now called VSP (Vision Savings Plan) and is $360.00 per year for their primo plan. Lake County employees and their retirees lost their benefit there and now have to travel elsewhere which is Ukiah and 40 miles away! Terrible disservice to the community everyone went there because they were good! Because of it all of Lake County can't use VSP as there are no other eye doctors that use it. I brought my daughter in for her first appointment. She's getting her first pair of sunglasses. They are very professional, clean and orderly. The staff were prompt, detailed oriented and very friendly. This office is also wheelchair accessible which is important because now I know I can bring my husband here. I have went to this office the past two years both times I was berated by a close minded leftest telling me his philosophy and putting down people who have a more centered point of view. Fairly disappointed with my visit which was dominated by rude, condescending reception staff, in addition to inappropriately attired staff. One patient asked the clerk if she was attending her "prom". This particular employee was late 30'ish, and was wearing a two tiered all black chiffon cocktail dress with leopard stiletto heels. After thrusting the paperwork at me, upon my returning it to her, she asked all the same things verbally, even though she held all the answers in her hands. I personally am NOT comfortable verbally stating personal info in a full reception area and asked her to refer to the paper, to which she rudely replied "I was just saving time!". Pricing was not competitive, as these were the most expensive glasses I have ever purchased. I will not be returning here again read more

My visit was interesting. The doctor talked badly about his staff to me but treated me quite well. Then once I went to order my glasses one of his staff, a short blonde lady, told me I could only choose from the glasses she decided I wanted. So I asked for this really tall gentleman and he was so professional and nice. I don't see him in there any longer which is a shame. . My 7 year old son and I both had appointments. The wait time was relatively short and once we were called back, we went from the screening room straight into the doctors office. Dr. Lasher was quick without seeming unconcerned. He showed great patience when dealing with my sons questions, even when some of them got a little sci-fi. When the tests were finished and the prescription written we were left in the capable hands of Char. She is a little bossy but if you go with it you'll have the perfect glasses picked out in 15 minutes flat. Once you get your glasses your friends, family and coworkers will love them. You tell them of the organized visit wonderful people, professionalism and Char.
