I asked for an adjustment, and was told no they couldn't do it after they looked at them. I gave them another chance a year or so later - they said they would, but it would cost me $20!!! He greeted me curtly and started the exam with barely an introduction, explanation or any health history. He seemed to be in a hurry. The culminating incompetence was he asked if I wanted my eyes dilated and explained that I would have blurry vision for 4 hours. I very clearly declined saying I had to drive south to Mendocino and drive children around. He said no problem he would numb them with drops to examine them. I felt weird immediately after the drops and asked if I could be having a reaction. He invalidated my symptoms and was super cavalier and dismissive. He sent me on my way immediately and said I should feel fine in 10 minutes. I sat in my car for 20 minutes and still could not read the time or text on my cell phone. I returned to the office to inquire what was going on. After seeing my pupils, he replied, "Son of a gun, I grabbed the wrong dropper bottle." When I expressed shock and upset he barely said I'm sorry and that was it. Incompetent, uncaring, and unprofessional. Time to retire?

I.SEE. owner Sara was helpful above and beyond -- she called the coffeehouse owner, who called a staff member, who came back to work, and gave me my purse. (The staffer was awesome.) Not only did Sara facilitate this return; she also charged my husband's phone, which had gone dead about an hour before. And she was friendly, efficient, and reassuring -- altogether the person you want to meet when you need help. I wear glasses, so I looked at some of the frames to distract myself. I.SEE has a great collection of options. The frames are cool and fun, and the shop itself is bright and welcoming. And you can get great coffee, pastries (gluten-free, too!), and sandwiches across the street. Just don't forget your purse. ;)

I brought in two pairs of sunglasses to see if she could repair them. She looked at each for less than ten seconds and told me they were both irreparable. I looked at the Maui Jim glasses and was desperate for a pair. Out of necessity I bought a pair of Maui Jim glasses there. Afterwards I drove to Santa Rosa to the Sunglass Hut where the two women could have not been more helpful. Not only did they repair my Ray-bans, but they found a jeweler who could repair my other pair of glasses. I regretted buying the glasses from the unfriendly and unhelpful woman at Healdsburg Optometry, and wish I would have bought the glasses at the Sunglass Hut where the price was $30.00 cheaper.

She found coverage I didn't even know I had. Their frame selection is appealing, high-quality and ample as well as Varilux progressives, high quality lens materials, and beautiful AR coatings.
