I've lived in Georgetown for over 30 years and have been a happy customer of Jack Brown nearly all that time. In the last 6 months there has been a terrible decline in the quality of Jack Brown work. Jeans are still damp when supposedly ready for pickup, and it now seems impossible to have uniform style shirts heavily starched - they are limp as a dishrag, even when returned for correction. I am very disappointed and will take my laundry elsewhere until I am assured that my jeans won't be damp and my shirts can be starched as they were before the recent decline in Jack Brown standards. read more

The employee Kaliana was beyond rude... never once apologized for losing our items and actually said "this isn't our fault" and wouldn't take the blame. I dropped off two pair of jeans to have dry cleaned with heavy starch. When I picked them up the tag said light starch the lady inside said that my account said light starch. I explain to her when I drop them off I specifically said I needed heavy starch. When I started asking her if they could re-starch them for me, She proceeded to try to convince me that they did have heavy starch on them, and that because they were new jeans they didn't absorb all of the starch. I guess they think I'm stupidOr they don't understand how starch works. read more

The young woman who works here is amazing. She has my garments ready and waiting before I've even walked in...just by recognizing my (pretty ordinary-looking) car. She is always pleasant with a lovely smile, and my clothes always come back to me in fantastic condition. I foolishly assumed by reading on Face book that if I took my dry cleaning in on Black Friday I would receive a 50 % discount on my dry cleaning. Hum Always read the next page. 2 dresses and a jacket over $47. I was told I had to show them the discount when I came in on Black Friday. Customer Service is very lacking. Do NOT ever use this particular Jack Brown Cleaner!! when I asked for a ticket, I was told not to worry about it. Being that I had just moved to town, I thought it was not a big deal. Took in one woman's top, one men's polo and four women's jeans. I got everything back I took in. The women's top went from a light orange to a pale yellow! I called them and I'll update my review when I see if they will reimburse me, but really? it doesn't solve the problem I lost my good top. All the cleaning doesn't even looked pressed, lots of wrinkle lines and maybe some iron line edges, (not sure what to call this). Additionally, this small job cost over $45. Seems really high to me. But you can be the judge when you check out your cleaners for comparisons. I wouldn't have anything done here. Avoid at all costs! read more

Note: this review is for the Austin Ave site! Pretty surprised at the poor reviews, but they are fairly old. I switched over to this JBC from the cleaners across the street because of the strong chemical smell that my clothes would retain after pick up. I realize that dry cleaning equals chemicals but I just couldn't handle the smell. This JBC site is easy to drop off/pick up and I LOVE that they text me when my order is ready. Folks are nice and pleasant during interaction. Price is a little higher maybe but they do a great job and tend to the details. read more

Came in Saturday morning at 10:40 AM. Young female and young male at the counter. Never greeted whatsoever after a few minutes of standing there looking like an idiot she finally asked me if I wanted the jacket in my hand dry cleaned. I'll told her that I would have to leave it up to the professionals to make that determination. She did not seem pleased with that response however I have no idea how to clean a leather jacket that would be her job. The young male never said a word. Pretty unimpressed so far if the jacket comes back clean and looking good I will be glad to raise the rating, but they definitely need to learn some customer service skills. read more

Service is spotty at best. Clothes are come ted in 24 hrs but often times buttons are broken or missing.

The absolute worse cleaners ever! I was from out of town and took a dress to this location to get it pressed. They lost my dress, the manager was rude, wouldn't do anything to look for the dress herself. I had to have this dress for a wedding in Houston and had to go buy a new dress to wear. The Monday after, the manager called and said that they had found the dress and it was there the whole time and she had a birthday party that she had to go to so she couldn't pretty much be bothered to go in and help the kid in the store look for it. That she admitted both of these things was amazing to begin with. I have tried to contact the gentleman Terry Brown who is over this store and have gotten no response. What a terribly run business. My advice to anyone thinking about using this cleaners DON'T! read more

If the cashier had told how expensive my bill would be when I dropped off the clothes, I definitely would not have used them. Everything was ready quickly as advertised. However, there was a stain on the pocket of the shirt I had laundered (didn't notice until I was getting dressed for a wedding out of town). Also had some slight damage to a dress. But, at least they were super expensive. read more
