Chris and his partner did an excellent job of electrical work and the necessary upgrades for codes in our finished basement. I recommend them highly and don't understand why they have received such bad reviews. read more

Complete scammers. Came out for a quick install of outlet in recreational room. Unprofessional guy comes and talks to his boss on the phone for 2 hours. Then says he needs to run to home depot and that took another 2 hours. Comes back, charges me $829 for the "work" he did for the day. Tells me he needs to return tomorrow for another 5 hours minimum (another $1,000 on top of the $829). Told him don't even bother. I got another guy out who got the job done in half a day for $550. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

This company has been ripping off my neighbor's for roughly one year after initially being called fix a single faulty Outlet install an entirely new box and Not only was that faulty they have returned multiple times within a single year to repair existing issues with the work they've done and are stringing them along to the tune upwards of $3,000 so far after doing research I have found several other folks who report similar experiences and extremely poor workmanship. Sorry for the run-on sentence. Anyhow stay away from these people and if necessary or you have the means and evidence to do so report them to the Better Business Bureau and consider a lawsuit so they can be stopped from preying on elderly couples peoples with disabilities and uninformed uneducated people without other options. read more

Very Dishonest! Came to see why my doorbell wasn't working, was told $98 to come check, gave me a bill for $392 for not fixing anything and saying I need a new doorbell. Were at my house for less than an hour. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE, DO NOT USE THEM! read more

Big, big mistake to call this company to fix the air conditioner. I don't know how they are in business when they scam customers. The service person came in an unmarked car, wasn't even wearing a company shirt and didn't say where he was from. He supposedly cleaned a few parts on the air conditioner and turned on the fan. He said the air would cool off shortly. The charge was $198.00, $98 for coming out and $98 for service. He said I might need a new compressor, that would cost thousands and they would have to order it. The air never cooled. I called his cell#, he said that he would send someone else out to clean the coils and add coolant. He said the coolant was expensive and that would be another $200.00. A friend of mine had called this service person (Mike) to ask exactly what he he did to fix the air conditioner. Mike told my friend that he was an electrician and can only assess the problem, he wasn't licensed to fix air conditioners. I called the one of the six phone numbers on the bill, John answered and said that he would call me back in 30 seconds. When he called back about 10 minutes later, I explained the problem. He had Mike call me. He was very annoyed and asked why I would call him if I had friend that knew about air conditioners. He said I shouldn't have called them and hung up . He was very rude and unprofessional. I called John back and again he said I'll call back in 30 seconds. He called back about 5 minutes later this time. I told him about conversation with Mike, he said that he was going to call him and would call me back. He said, don't go nowhere I'll call you back. He never called back. read more

Called my Home Serve insurance company for emergency electrical repair on the weekend. I had lost electrical power to one circuit powered by one breaker. I called Public Service Electric utility and they checked outside lines. They determine there is power coming into the home as well as breaker panel. This private company shows up on Sunday night and re-checks voltage readings in my breaker panel. All read 120 V to each breaker. The electrician needs to step outside and make phone call which lasts 45 minutes. He eventually comes back and tells me I have a "Lost Neutral" (white wire) int he circuit, which is not connected. He never troubleshoots another circuit and has me speak to his boss who has already called Home serve to get approval on my $2000 per service call deductible. He claims it will cost $3800 to re-wire the one circuit and his crew will take two days and may need to rip out walls and replace sheet rock. Also , needs to pull permits for code approval which is additional cost. Home serve calls me back and say they will send out someone in morning for 2nd opinion and to get a better price quote. The electrician is notified before leaving and tells me it is probably a lost neutral between the first outlet box to breaker and to re--wire new romex and that should put everything back on in the circuit. In the A.M. I go to Home Depot and buy 50 ft. of romex cable for $21.00. I run new wire from breaker panel into 1st outlet in circuit. EVERYTHING WORKS ! Amazing ! and these charlatans wanted a $3800.00 pay day with boss calling shots without being on the job site ! Consumer BEWARE !!! Thank God the electrician they sent out had a conscience and leveled with me... Greed personified ! Don't call these #(^#(&#^((*#&*( 'S !!! read more

Bad business; bad people. Mike the service guy comes out and is extremely rude. He looks over (troubleshoots) in less than 20 minutes and charges $196 for nothing. Supposedly he gets half and the owner John gets the other half. What a scam. Supposedly you will get a credit toward the actual job when Mike comes back out but he doesn't return your call when you ask for him to come back out. When you call John he huffs and puffs, is terribly rude says they will call back the next day but they don't. Bad business; bad people; bad Karma. Stay away from this scamming duo. read more

I called Jacee Electric for a circuit breaker problem in my home. A man named Mike came to our home the following morning, introducing himself as a surveyor (meaning he would survey the problem for $98.00!) He stayed about 15 minutes, and said that another electrician would come out the next morning to fix the problem. When asked why he couldn't fix the problem now, he said that he is "surveying the situation, and he doesn't have the time." I called the owner that night realizing that their cost is $98.00 every half hour!!! I said I could not afford an electrician to come to my home and possibly spend hours there costing me hundreds of dollars. He assured me that the job would likely take no more than an hour. The next morning, an electrician by the name of Rick came to the house and my husband explained to him what was wrong, and I also told him that I could not afford more than an hour's work. So guess what? After an hour of doing NOTHING, just walking around and looking at wires, he said that's it, took a check for $200.00 and left. Immediately after he left, the owner (John)called (with an attitude) and said that he would drop the charge to $98.00 an hour instead of $98.00 for each 1/2 hour. My husband was furious, and told him so and that two men came to the house and did absolutely nothing and we are out $300.00! I would NEVER recommend this company......REAL SCAM ARTISTS!!!!! read more

What a Fool I am - I called this Company from their add in the Yellow pages " Big Mistake" They sent an Electrician out to fix the Fuse Box for my Hot Water Heater ( No Hot Water) Electrician looked at it and assessed it was not fixable after not even checking the box to see if there was any voltage and promptly suggested that I redo the whole electric panel for the entire house Quote $5600 and mentioned that his Company offered Financing 3 Times; needless to say I was very upset with this assessment. I paid their $98.00 service call and promptly called another local Electrician who came out the same day and fixed the problem. Next day I called Jacee Electrical and told them what happened and didn't think that they should cash my check for the service call because the assessment was incorrect since the problem was fixable. Jacee Electrical response was very threating and told me the repair was Illegal and if I stopped payment on the check they were going to report be to The Township of Ewing, NJ for a Full Electrical Inspection. I hope my experience with this Company reaches many Ears - to save you from being Ripped-Off, wasting time and experiencing unneccesary anguish and frustration. Dianne Ewing, NJ read more

John told me that Mike the electrician would be coming between 2 and 4, so I went and waited at the site . I finally called again at 4:30, only to be told that the electrician would come the following morning. Because they said that the service was $98 to show up and $98/hour for their time, I assumed that Mike's contract estimate of $1800 meant that it was a long job. Foolish me! The contract price is whatever they feel like. It only took Mike about 31/2 hours (or possibly a bit more) to complete the work, so I ended up paying them about $500/hour for the job. Get a second opinion, folks! read more

I contacted Jacee based on large yellow page ad indicating 35 years of great service. I was seeking an estimate for an HVAC replacement for a single family home. I called to setup the appointment for Thurs 6/2/16 earlier in the week and was told an estimate would be a $98 charge which would be applied to my install if I decided to go with them. Got a call Thursday afternoon that the estimator was stuck in traffic on the expressway and as I live in the suburbs, could he come Friday 6/10/16. I agreed. Estimator showed up around the scheduled appointment time. He was only at my house max 15 minutes. He didn't want to come in to look at the air blower in my attic or any of the current setup. He didn't do a load calc for the house. He did look at the compressor outside and told me verbally since the blower was on the other side of the house, that would increase cost by about $500 so my total install would be around $8K. I received no written estimate for the estimate confirmation. When I asked what types of units Jacee sells, I was told I would get "whatever we have available off the shelf". No details on make, model etc. Needless to say, I will not be going with Jacee for my install. Not worth the $98 for an estimate. Could have done the same thing on my own using internet research. read more

This company is a scam ..I am only giving one star because I have to..While prepping my mothers home for sale I needed to correct a few items for closing. i made the mistake of calling this company to help. I was charged 100$ for an assessment. I was then told to go and purchase a number of things from Home Depot and when the electrician came the following day he told me the assessor had not turned on the correct switch. Are you kidding me...? If the same gentleman had come back to my home after assessing, he was prepared to cut a large hole in the ceiling to replace the box in the recessed lighting. Additionally he Mis-diagnosed the issue in the attic as well... All I can say is thank god I had a competent electrician come out the next day to devote TEN MINUTES of his attention to correctly diagnose and correct the issue (and flip the right switches!!!) They still charged me the full hour rate of 100$. Are they pulling people off the street to do assessment and then just charging to fix these fabricated issues??? This company is a scam. read more

Stay away. I work for a volunteer organization and called to have a circuit trouble shot and to have an exterior outlet installed. The person on the phone told me it was $98 for the service call and $98/hr for work. They came out promptly when scheduled. The problem was that the guy who came, came in his own vehicle. No supplies, no ladder, no conduit, just a small tool bag. He determined that the breakers were all good and the line was not broken because they had continuity. He could not tell me which breaker it was or what could be the cause of the problem. He would have to run a new line through the drop ceiling and that would cost $2500. He was here a total of 25 minutes. Told me I needed all sorts of other work done and then gave me a bill for $196. That was the $98 service call and 1 hour of work $98. That was crazy. He was not prepared to do any work for me that day other than to look at the job and write me a service order. If he had said they would send a salesman out to look at the job and quote me a price and that the $196 could be put towards the job if I hired them. i understand charging for a quote because he has to spend time and trouble shoot the job but $196. He had no ability to do the other job either. I was expecting to have work done that day. This guy was just a salesman. The price of $2500 put Ina new breaker, run the line through drop ceiling and tie it into an existing circuit was crazy. Say the parts cost $500 which in itself is crazy, that's $2000 for labor on a job that would take 1 guy half a day max. Do yourself a favor and the $196 sales pitch read more
