We actually ended up taking a break from visiting due to how far our travel was for this place. So we tried many - make that several barbershops that were closer to home. And every time we would leave one - my son would be complaining. They scratched him, they grabbed his head to hard or something. And he's only 7 now - but he should still be treated with the same respect that any other customer would be treated with. So after months of him begging, I finally took him back and he was the happiest kid I had seen in a long time. His hair is fresh again. We actually didn't see Danny because man was his schedule booked for the times we wanted. I tried to get in with Leon too but he was booked up. (These guys are popular - and understandably for a good reason.) Luckily, I was able to get in with another barber and he still did a good job with my son. If you are looking for a great barber, then honestly - you do not need to look any further. Clean shop, great people and great work! They stay busy - so book an appointment when you can!

Like all pro he made sure to clean up my ears and eyebrows, something that some places tend to forget, then finished off with a hot latter and straight razor. By reviews, this was the best place on yelp in Charlotte, and the price was fair. As a rant, I get irritated at those barber shops that are upscale, give a mediocre cut, and charge top dollar. This place was down to earth, has a pedigree of being in business since the 60's, has been updated over the years, but still has that classic feel. What is the purpose of paying high dollar to schedule an appointment when the appointment is never…read moreon time. We pay for appointments because we have a busy schedule that we need to stick to so therefore we count on the service providers to stick to their time schedule. I scheduled a 130 appointment and out of courtesy I arrived at 1:05, just so he knew I was there and would be on time for him. I noticed that he was walking around doing some other things I assumed he had finished with his client before me and was unaware of what was going on. He came to introduce himself to me at 1:50. I phoned him that I scheduled the appointment time because I had a 215 appointment that I needed to be at and by this time I would possibly be late. He assured me that he would get me out on time asked me what I wanted. I told him I needed him to bring my hair down a little keep it dark. I was growing my beard back out again so to grab a line I knew that there was enough hair on my face to do that And we would be good. So Junious starts to cut he was moving rather quickly. I was very thankful of the fact that he was not talking to me or anyone else he was just working. I paid attention that he kept going over my face for some reason. When he gave me the mirror, I noticed he had cut all the hair off of my face, not doing what I wanted him to do what I paid him to do what I waited all this time to happen. I expressed to him again, what it happened there was no apology. There was no condolences of what he had done. He just moved me on out the way. You may ask why did I go to this person? My normal person who I have to sit and wait for no appointment had too many individuals and knew he couldn't get to me mind you that shop for the exact same cut, but you have to wait. It's only $25. I scheduled an appointment for $65 still had to wait being late for my next appointment and not getting the cut that I wanted. People wonder why we tend to shy away from black on business. This was an experience I will never forget. This is my first time and last time at this shop.

The whole staff was friendly and were fun to be around and had great banter and the haircut is great, he did a great job of cutting it just how i like.
