I believe there is only 1 person that is qualified to cut hair in that place. It is totally obvious they could care less about their chosen profession. I have tried all techs in that place and only one seems to know how to use sheers. I would not recommend this place at all and will take my business elsewhere. How can you get a bad hair cut with sheers? Really? Trust me, go elsewhere. read more

Popped in since I'm new to the area. Used to my expensive cuts in South Park but they usually were good. These guys matched it for less than half the price and time. read more

I just recently went here for the first time and I have to say it was a great experience. I didn't know what to expect but I got there and walked in the front door and found a seat. As soon as the next chair was available I was called up. I don't remember the man's name but he was an older gentleman and he was super nice. He asked me what kind of cut I was going for and so I pulled my phone out and showed him a picture and he looked at it for like 3-4 seconds and started working. He was super nice and wanted to know everything about me and my life. We talked about me and him. We talked about my wife. It was a great conversation. Right before he was done he asked me if I wanted my eyebrows taken care of. I said that would be great and my wife would be super happy about that. The haircut didn't take long. When he was done he did that will be $19. Good price. I paid and that was it. Walking into this barber shop felt like walking into Floyd's barber shop in Mayberry. This is a great place and I fully recommend it to anyone. read more

The young lady who cut my hair did an excellent job with my hair. However, the barber whose station was furthest from the entrance felt it was very important to make anti-democratic tropes while I was in his audience. Yes, I wore Birkenstoks and drove up in a Tesla. Freedom of choice is an important as freedom of speech. But respect of a paying customer is simply proper manners. read more

Walk in barber shop. Most have been there for a bit and you can't go wrong with any of them. Good group & have fun together. Price is spot on for a solid cut read more

I have been to the high-end men's salons and to the sports-clips chains and to a few 'traditional' barbershops like Mint Hill Barber Shop. I am sticking with the traditional barbershops and Mint Hill's is perfect. Quick, good, no-nonsense haircuts for a good price. I may have been there three times and I have always been pleased. read more

I asked my husband to go there and have them trim his beard because he decided he wanted to look like Grizzly Adams and he had no clue how to take care of a beard. The Barber did a great job he looked really good when he got home, now I want him to go every week. read more

I have very high standards for a good haircut after living in Miami, FL. Nelson was great and very professional. The service was amazing and I love my new haircut. TY Nelson and I will be back! read more

Mint Hill Barber Shop - Barber was Nelson - Barbers Near Me - Mint Hill, North Carolina

Received great and speedy service on a Thursday morning. Needed a quick cut on the way to get a professional picture taken. They were friendly and personable. One note, they only accept cash or check. Would really appreciate the ability to pay with a card or some other electronic method, even Venmo as I almost never carry cash, but I just happened to have a $20 and would've liked to tip more than $2 on my $18 cut. read more

At this times of pandemic, wearing mask is a must. The barbers are wearing mask but they asked their clients not to wear mask because its inconvenience for them to cut! I took my husband on 5/28 and gave him a mask and the barber said no. read more

Great bunch of barbers..I,have been going here for several years..There is very little turnover of their barbers..Usually in and out in a decent amount of time read more

I had been going to sports clips, but decided to try this place out. Glad I did. As soon as I walked in noticed every chair but one was filled, and within a couple seconds they had me seated and got right to cutting. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and a much better cut than I've ever gotten for much less too. I'll definitely be back read more

I have been going here for about three years. They have about 6 or seven barbers and they are busy. That should tell you something. This is, in my opinion, an old time barber shop. They do the modern cuts if requested but you don't see many women or longer hair people here. Bruce has been cutting my hair and he does a great job. I would recommend this shop if looking for a good hair cut. read more

Old style locally owned and operated shop. Excellent service and a great cut above national chains. Bruce did a great job and I'm now planning to be a regular. You will enjoy the experience. read more

Amazing barber shop! After years of SportsClips and Great Clips because of their after work hours, I'll be rearranging my schedule to come back. Clippers to start, scissor finish and straight razor neck. Came on a recommendation and was well worth it. read more

First haircut since moving to NC. Place was busy but acceptable wait, happy with haircut, will be back. 4-5 barbers, $16 for senior HC.

I've been going here for years. Great small town environment and great haircuts. They'll fix your $5 Great clips cut for a meer $15. They do a good job with kids too. I use Bruce, but most of the guys will give you a good cut. read more

Bruce was great! Highly recommend. They accept walk ins and we're able to get my son and I in the chairs quickly!

I've been taking both of my boys there for more than two years. I too was a little intimidated at first by going into an all male shop, but just like the first reviewer that quickly changed. They made me feel "right at home" and were very friendly. We now feel like we're part of their family. There are three guys that the boys will let cut their hair...Bruce, Steven and Chris. We will continue going there as long as one of these three guys are working there! read more

Great barber shop! You can be in and out in less than 30 min. I got my hair cut by, Nelson, yesterday and it was probably the best hair cut I've ever gotten. I'm particular about my hair cut and even had a picture to show him of what I was going for and he was very detailed through the process. I also liked that he didn't push for a bunch of conversation. Just a clean haircut and you're on your way. Great experience. read more

I've found my regular barber shop. I've been a long time Sportsclips guy for the convenience but no longer. I walked in and was immediately seated. Brandon gave me me an excellent cut off my few requests and he's made me a customer for life. Shop is spotless and everyone is friendly. Perfect atmosphere. Cash only is slightly inconvenient but I can live with it. read more

Had my first visit to the Mint Hill Barber Shop today. This locally owned establishment did not disappoint. I'd met the owner, Stephen, at a Mint Hill Chamber event and I had been looking for a new place to get a trim. I walked in today with no wait. Bruce cut my hair. He was friendly and professional. I love my hair, so when I try a new place, I'm nervous. When he was done and I had said some prayers (I was not facing the mirror so I didn't know what the cut looked like until he was finished) I was pleased. The real judge was my wife. She said it was the best hair cut I'd had in years! If that wasn't good enough, the price was just 15 bucks. You can't beat that in this economy. read more

I like this place. Every time I go there's usually 5 or 6 barbers so I never have to wait long. Friendly staff. They all do a great job. I like Stephen to cut my hair. Hair cut is $15 but I usu just give a $20. read more

My husband got the worst haircut of his life here. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the barber. We travel constantly and he visits barbershops in many states. The instructions he gives are always the same and the result is usually good. Not this time. The barber used no guard on the clippers and my husband was almost bald on the back of his head. The rest was so short and so choppy that I couldn't believe it. We will never return. read more

I had to take my boys to get their hair cut for a funeral this week. I love Daphne's bakery and noticed there was a barber shop beside their bakery so I chose this particular barber shop. There were like 6 men and at first I felt awkward going into the shop. However, the gentlemen were very nice and made me feel right at home. The only downside is that they did not take credit cards - only cash or check (neither of which I had on me at the time). They were very kind and trusted/allowed me to run to the nearest bank branch to withdraw money in which to pay them. They were very quick and did a great job with my boys. They can expect a return visit from us. I was very satisfied!!!! read more

This barber shop is truly as good as it gets! I have been coming here for 17 years, and my barber from back then is now the owner. Every gentleman is experienced, and I am not afraid to let any one of them cut my hair. Pricing is extremely reasonable, and I love that they still offer hot razor shaves. It's a little bit of a drive for me, but well worth the trip! read more

Went to the Mint Hill Barber Shop yesterday based on the Yelp reviews. What a great experience. I was looking for a change and Nelson took great care of me. Besides getting a great haircut, everyone was friendly and professional. Old school barbershop that would be a great place to hangout. They definately added a new customer. read more

It's a typical old school barber shop that you would see in the movies. They shave your neck with hot shaving cream if you want and the people are always friendly. They have 4-6 chairs going at once so the wait is usually very short which is why I keep coming back. read more
