He either deliberately ignored the photo and instructions I gave him or he genuinely doesn't know how to accomplish the haircut I asked for and instead of communicating that to me, attempted it anyway and gave me the worst haircut of my life. When I sat down I asked "Muck" for a mid-fade parted haircut (like the one in the example photo I've attached). I even specifically requested that he leave some length so that the hair on the side could be comed down without sticking straight out. As you can see in the photos, he quite literally did the opposite. The haircut itself is not even a good one - there is no fade and the area where the hair is supposed to part goes from about .5 an inch to about 6 inches long. This also has nothing to do with my hair and everything to do with the barber. You can see in my profile photo what my hair looks like when cut the way I ask for and the barber listens to my instructions. The worst part of this all is that this is right before Christmas with the family. I paid him but did not tip and I want him to know why. Very disappointing - I won't be returning.

Then we moved into a senior Del Webb community in Fort Mill, SC and I started to be a bi-weekly customer in 2012. Charlie is my regular barber and is now my 99 year old dad's barber. He gives a good haircut, man-style with eyebrow, ear and nose hairs trimmed and hair cut as you like. For dad, his visits include a shampoo along with his haircut. The shop is closed on Sundays and all the barbers have different schedules as to which days they work. Saturdays is mostly a kid day, but is a first-come first-served situation. When a barber opens up, you get cut. Otherwise, you make an appointment for the barber of your choice or with whomever is available when you want to come in. A few years ago Carmel Span became a family affair as my wife started to get her haircuts from Vickie Penny. And she has quite a long-time following of regulars, so you need to call for an appointment in advance. And Vickie is a very nice lady. Prices are reasonable and the shop is clean. Ample parking out back. They have a good crew here.
