    Prime rib

Yum! I ordered the 8oz. Prime rib and they gave me a huge cute. It was cooked to perfection. The mango Moscow was incredible and refreshing as well.

We went to dinner last night for the first time at this restaurant. It's in an historic hotel. The atmosphere is nice with a couple small rooms to dine inside as well tables in the small bar area. There's also outdoor dining. We sat in the bar at a small table for two. Our server was Melanie, the bartender. She was very nice but service was slow since the bar seats were all filled. There were only a handful of tables filled in the entire restaurant when we were there so a server could've taken care of us vs the bartender. Melanie suggested a Pinot noir to me, which was good. We started with the brioche rolls and shared the oysters rockefeller. They were fabulous, the highlight of our dining experience. Next we each had a cup of creamy asparagus soup. Disappointing. Lacked creaminess and seasoning. It was more a broth based soup. I asked Melanie for salt & pepper to add something to the bland soup. For our entrees, my husband had the 12oz prime rib. He requested it cooked to medium rare but it came out medium. It was tasty, though. The potatoes that came with the steak were dense and not creamy. That was a miss. I had the Japanese scallops. They were cooked nicely but I only had 4 on my plate for $33. The caramelized onion & leek risotto served with the scallops was very good. I'm on the fence with this restaurant. I don't think I'd come back. However, our innkeeper in South Haven says it's hit or miss. Sometimes it's very good but other times mediocre. So I'll see. After dinner, we walked outside to the back deck and saw a fawn. We were told the deer come by in the evening. So cute!

Great place for a nice dinner. We sat on their front porch on a very pleasant evening - cozy and fun. Highly recommend their lavender martini - and we really enjoyed the appetizers and dinner - but you must get their rolls and garlic butter! OMG! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Absolutely incredible. One of the best dinners I've had in quite some time. To start, this place is on the bottom of a bed and breakfast. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We came on a chilly weekend, so we sat inside. It is decorated so nicely inside with cool art and light fixtures but still has the touches of traditional B&B. They offer cocktail, beer & wine options. I got the halibut. My husband got the mushroom and beef dish. Both were so delicious and some of the best food we had in quite some time. Service was very friendly as well! A must stop if In Saugatuck

We sat on the back patio which has a beautiful view of a water spring and some deer and rabbit. Our server was very attentive and made some great suggestions for dinner. We started with the baked Brie which was fantastic. Then we split the Caesar salad which was yummy. I got the beef boulionaise with ravioli and my husband got the duck. Both were excellent. Will definitely come back. Also, drinks were good and reasonably priced.

We happened upon this Restaraunt after a long wonderful boating day... with kids in tow and picky parents (my husband is native French and particular w fine dining) this was a respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown Saugatuck. We were able to park our car and boat near by and experience an amazing menu that pleased all our appetites. Service was amazing, great cocktail list, ambiance was 5+ It was such a special experience. Prime rib was AWESOME as was the risotto and duck. May I add I recently dined at a similar caliber Restaraunt in New Buffalo (kids had burgers not prime rib) and the bill was more expensive and underwhelming. We will definately be back when we want to feel like me and my hubby can be on a date w the kids in tow (18,14,11) super special.

I feel this is more 3.5 Stars, but that is not an option. They were able to accommodate a party of 8 and we were able to sit on the lovely patio in the back. The menu is limited, but they had options for just about anybody. My partner and I had the trout with Yukon gold potatoes. The rest of our party had the steaks except one of the kids who had macaroni and cheese. What brings the star down to 4, is I felt the food and drinks were decent, but not worth the price. Many of the steak were over cooked and the service was quite slow. Slow to the point where those who got medium well steaks instead of rare, felt that sending it back would take too long. Everything was also under seasoned. Some of us had desserts and they were good. My final complaint is that I think we were charged an 18% gratuity and were never told (due to the party size), but since I cannot confirm or deny this (we were not given a receipt), I'm just chalking it up to my fault for not asking.

They were offering a whiskey flight...this was one of the offerings

Our food came out without too long a wait and we really liked our mahi mahi tacos and the grouper Reuben. The Reuben was such a great novelty and I loved the generous portion of grouper breaded and deep fried to perfection with the right amount of fixins with the marble rye. Good fries too. Sure, I'd leave places and be like, "I should really do them a solid" but then I just went home and either forgot about it or started doing other stuff. Have gotten really into running since COVID and that's pretty much my favorite topic of discussion (running, not COVID). Had between 15 and 20 Miller Lites over the course of a three-night span here in late June 2026. This place is like Outback Steakhouse in the "no rules, just right" type of way. I do not believe they serve food here but did see bartenders making microwavable popcorn on request to several patrons. So this place is designed with a three-room set-up. You walk in and it's a square carpeted room that can be used for live music. Then you reach the bar area, then there are pool tables. There seemed to be an area behind the pool tables but I was too afraid to go back there. Now in terms of bar design, I would have led with the bar but that's just me and I'm sure the architects (possibly Mike Brady from "The Brady Bunch") knew what they were doing. I tend to trust professionals, apart from what our public health "experts" did to us during the forementioned COVID. This bar is cash only. That's probably in other reviews. Also, if you have AT&T cell service, good luck. There's no service so you can't look up scores and check Instagram. And now you're thinking, "what about the wifi?" C'mon bro, be serious. I love this bar. They have four different TVs in the main bar area that range from 19 to 45 inches. All are on different setups. Antenna, YouTubeTV, etc. The staff is fantastic. Patrick and Katie were my two favorites. Entertaining and straight out of bartending central casting. I was just drinking beers so I can't comment on what like a cocktail or normal-person drink tastes like. Clientele ranges from bachelorette parties to people who have seen some shit. It's a dive bar that never had to try to be a dive bar. You'll read other reviews on this place and they are super granular or longwinded or whatever. Don't pay attention to those bozos. This place is strictly vibes. Did I mention the dropped ceilings have art paintings on them? One even has a Pontiac painted on it. Hell yeah, Michigan. Haven't seen a Pontiac since cars still had cassette tape players in them. I would live there if I could. And I'm a proud Ohioan.
