She was more focused in sharing photos with another co-worker -from her cell phone- rather than attending to the client waiting for service in her chair. The stylist colored my hair and then directed me to a waiting area never checking on the process considering it was my first color with her. I was surprised because she a a mature hair stylist who expressed to me that she was in the industry for over three decades. I do not mind paying for value but the service absolutely does not match the price attached to color and service. Even the labor -considering was poor- did not meet my expectation. The color barely on my head and it is beginning to fade. I have been going to B Salon for years but I have decided not to go back. Lea didn't understand what I was asking. She kept saying "lighter, darker?" I said redder. I showed her a picture of someone with red hair. I said I don't want orange just warmer. The actual picture was a bit orange but not much. I even pointed to the hair underneath my bottom layer. That's what I wanted. Bowen came over to help and I said I wanted a warmer color with a little more reddish auburn but not orange. I showed a picture. Then I said more like this...pointing underneath my washed out top layer. He said he couldn't do that because it wouldn't look good. I accept his opinion but I wasn't asking for much of a change. Most salons welcome people wanting a little/big change. He basically walked away instead of working with me to find a solution. I'm confused why they don't occasionally put color through the ends. I've been going there 2+ years and they've never done that. My hair is washed out. The 2 other salons I have been to always put color through the ends every few months. I told him I was disappointed that he couldn't work with me on the color a bit. I'm an easy client never expecting anything but the basics. He offered at that point to put a toner on but my hair was cut and almost dry and I didn't have time. He should have suggested that initially. I was treated poorly and will not go back.

I showed the girl 3-4 pictures with medium length (past shoulders) with wispy bangs and butterfly layers. I left here practically crying looking like Kevin Sorbo from Hercules. She took off 2 more inches than I asked for (and my hair was long/halfway down my back so there was enough for her to a healthy cut and match the style I asked for). She seemed very inexperienced and clearly she was, which is extra annoying since when I booked I asked for a higher level stylist. After she finished I was clearly unhappy and the other stylist came over and tried to tell me it's just the way she blow dryed it and the cut matches exactly what I asked for (even though every picture had hair past the shoulders and mine ends above mine). She then tried to "fix" the style but it looked basically the same after. At this point I just wanted to get out of here before I burst into tears. I was so flustered to get out I ended up tipping her anyway and I'm so mad at myself since there is not one thing I like about this cut. Cried the whole way home 0/10 do not recommend.

Instead, she left with a garish clown orange color, crying and upset. Numerous employees lied and told her she looked beautiful!! Look at the pictures and see if she got anything near the color she was promised?! Is that color beautiful? You decide. I had to call back and demand that she be brought back in the next day and her hair fixed by Gabby. When we got there at first, Gabby was super pleasant and helpful, but after one application of color, it still wasn't nearly nice enough, it was still patchy orange in spots. I told her she needed a second application and Gabby was not thrilled. There was another stylist named Mia who chimed in and tried to get us to leave after one application and go to a beauty store and get shampoo with color in it! "With all due respect" Gabby said! You know those are fighting words! I advised her that her client wasn't happy and she had let her client leave with clown red hair. Gabby did not want to do the second application and told me that this was going to be the last application that she was going to do. I advised her that the client would get her hair repaired. Anyway, we came to an understanding and Gabby had 2 other girls who she said were in cosmetology school, do another application with the help of a wonderful stylist named Dawn, in picking the right color and other bits of advice. Gabby does not know how to dye red hair, this has happened to her before according to others in the salon. This was a horrible experience for my granddaughter and for myself in both the application of Hair dye, then letting her leave with a horrible hair color, and them not wanting to fix it. If I, an experienced woman with hair salons, had not been there to defend my 18-year-old at her first time getting her hair colored at a hair salon, she would've just been left with orange hair and left to her own devices to fix it.
