RECOMMENDATION WOODEL ROOF SYSTEMS…read more If you're still looking for a roofing contractor to repair or replace a roof damaged by the late summer hailstorm in the Tuckahoe and neighboring areas west of Richmond, Virginia, I enthusiastically recommend Woodel Roofing Systems based in Ashland. The work was exceptional. The company was remarkable in not only listening to but anticipating our needs and worked exceptionally well with our insurer. It also was able to provide a range of related services, including replacing gutter downspouts and window screens damaged by the hailstones. We also got the work scheduled and completed in a timely fashion. The crew took extraordinary care to avoid damage and its cleanup afterward was exceptional. It's locally owned and has the highest rating from the Better Business Bureau for good reason. https://www.woodelrs.com/ (804) 800-5959 Office (804) 489-7876 Cell

The sales briefing Alex gave us was professional, detailed and he answered all our questions. Communication with him throughout the process was excellent. Now we have expensive Leaf Filters! We made it known that if anything happened to them during installation...we wanted them to be immediately repaired. Alex, wrote that addendum right into the contract on the spot. Some of the other contractors stepped around the issue which was a major problem for us. Thankfully, the crew didn't damage the gutters (that my son and I could detect) and they appear to have made it through the process. The crew arrived early and did a fantastic job. They repaired decking sections that needed (they didn't overlook it and keep going), took care not to trample my wife's plants. It was very windy today but they policed up all the debris to the last nail. The job was precise and looked beautiful. The crew was also very professional and polite. It was a pleasure to have them here. It you need a new roof...hire this outfit! You won't be sorry.

The TCWC call center agents have repeatedly called me, at least minimum of four times a week, to follow up with the cancelled appointment. Days, evenings, weekends. . . for MONTHS!!! NOTHING is off limts with these people. I have asked them time and time again to delete my number from their system and it is NEVER done. As an example I just called them after receiving yet another call and the person asked for my phone number. I had recited TWO digits and she interrupted me to ask my name. I asked her if she needed the rest of my phone number and she said "I guess so." Do NOT contact these people if you merely want an estimate. They will not rest until they wear you down into making a purchase.

I chose this company based on their online reviews, but after my experience, I seriously question…read morehow accurate those reviews are. From the beginning, I made it very clear that I wanted 100% communication and no misunderstandings. The salesperson assured me the entire project (windows, gutters, shutters, etc.) would take about 2-3 months. I was aware I was paying above average, but I trusted their reputation. That turned out to be a mistake. The problems started right away. I assumed measurements were taken during the initial visit, but they weren't. I had to take time off work for another appointment, and the person they sent was in and out in about 20 minutes. After that, communication completely broke down. I had to repeatedly call just to get updates. Months went by with no clear timeline for installation. Every time I spoke to someone, I got a different answer. The office staff seemed completely disorganized, and emails were confusing or contradicted each other. Eventually, I spoke with managers, and even they admitted there were mistakes and miscommunication. But nothing was actually resolved. When installation finally happened, it was poorly handled. They sent only one person to install gutters, which was inefficient and unprofessional. To make matters worse, they somehow retained my payment information and charged me without my authorization, which is extremely concerning. At one point, a manager apologized but then started mentioning that if I canceled, I could be legally responsible. That is when I completely lost confidence. It felt more like a threat than an attempt to resolve the situation--especially considering they had not fulfilled their obligations despite receiving a large deposit. They later came out to take pictures and "check" the work, but it felt like they were trying to protect themselves rather than fix the issues. I have lost an unbelievable amount of time dealing with this--taking off work, making calls, and sending emails. To this day, I still have an issue with one of the windows. I reached out again and received a response that made no sense, and I still have no real answer. Also, their "lifetime warranty" is not even through them--it's through a third party, which was never clearly explained upfront. Overall, this has been an exhausting and frustrating experience. I strongly recommend being very cautious before choosing this company and considering other options. Look for the response towards any complaints they're completely generic. They don't even give at least any kind of explanation as to why of things occurred. I would take my business elsewhere. You're gonna get robbed. They're charge you an astronomical price for something that anybody else could've done much cheaper.
