For the most part these people are all loving and caring. This is our 3rd daycare and it has been going great so far. Always cleaned and they go as far as helping wash blankets and sheets for the kids when there is an accident. Definitely consider this place if you are looking for a daycare! You won't regret it. My only suggestion is to inquire within and take the chance like I did. I couldn't be more comfortable with any other daycare at this time.

The two…read morestar rating is because "Ms. D" and "Ms. Stacey" showed genuine care for our son while he was enrolled. Our experience started in early August 2019 when my Wife returned to work after maternity. We scouted a few day care facilities prior to landing with KinderCare and though they were the most expensive of the ones we researched, we went with them because of their stellar reviews, personal recommendation, and proximity to our place of work. Our (then) four month old son started his first week with three incident reports, all in his first three days at KinderCare. All of the incident reports entailed wounds to his face; two self inflicted and one by another child. As concerned parents, we addressed this with the facility director and assistant director immediately. We were assured that we would be contacted asap should our son be hurt again while under their supervision. Though they made good (for the most part) on this assurance, the incident reports continued to flow. In addition to the numerous incident reports, the daily reports they sent to us were inaccurate and lacked detail most of the time. More recently, when I picked-up my son from KinderCare, I noticed a series of scratches around his right eye. I immediately called my wife and she said that she did not receive a call regarding an incident from the day. When she went to follow-up, she was informed (by Ms. Pat) that he had those scratches when she dropped him off in the morning. In addition it was explained (by Ms. Pat) that the staff is "unable to give him the attention he wants when they are with another kid, so we leave him in the crib crying and he flails his arms." In other words, you choose dereliction of duty. If you have read the review to here, I think you can digress that we are attentive parents. As we began to scout other options for daycare, our anxiety increased every day we dropped him off. For two working parents, it is not easy leaving your child in the care of folks you barely know; it is even more frustrating knowing that you are paying for subpar care. His last day at KinderCare (in early October) entailed another sloppy daily report, consisting of mostly vague/incomplete details. The facility wasn't sure if they forgot to feed him (for six hours) or if they gave him another child's formula? To this day it remains a question mark and a scar on two new parents and their five month old son. We are just happy that he is not there anymore.

I was very clear about his needs in every conversation I had with them. I called multiple times to provide all the necessary details, and everything seemed perfect for him to start. He began on a Monday--a completely new environment with new peers, he a behavioral complaint. On Tuesday, it was described as a good day. On Wednesday, they said everything was perfect. Then, on Thursday, I got a call from the owner, Margo, telling me they were not a good fit for my son because he required more assistance. I was shocked and devastated, especially since I had explained his needs in detail before enrolling him. I was caught completely off guard in the middle of my workday and had to leave work in tears. What made matters worse was how Margo handled the situation. In the middle of our conversation, she walked out because we disagreed. She claimed that when she went to talk to my son, he didn't acknowledge her, yet when we left, he was saying goodbye to everyone. It wasn't just that the daycare wasn't a good fit for my son; it was the way the situation was handled and the lack of communication and respect throughout the process. I thought it was a good environment, but the lack of communication and respect was incredibly disappointing.

The ratio of teachers to students is always good and the teachers have great skill at interacting with the children and keeping them engaged. My daughter is 19 months and speaks full sentences knows her colors and can count. They sing dance read books and play. They learn about nature. Play pretend, make arts and crafts and learn how to share. They get playtime outside everyday pending the weather and you don't have to worry about your child getting muddy because they have astroturf. My child stands out compared to other kids her age as her skills are developed well beyond her age because she goes to school full time. I'm so happy.

We had no idea where to start, what to do, or how to help him. We felt completely helpless. On our very first tour with Building Blocks, we walked in completely unsure. We walked out knowing this was going to be the best place for him to grow. In the 3 years we have been there we haven't been disappointed with our decision once! This school is staffed with the most amazing individuals. No one ever does not have the time to speak with you. Someone is always willing to help, guide and explain things. Our son has only worked with 8 of the teachers, however I have personally gotten to know every single one of them and know them. They are all amazing. I would be comfortable and confident putting my son in ANY of their classes. Recently our country was turned upside down, quickly. Without skipping a beat, the administrative staff, teachers & assistants all stepped up and put in 150% of effort to reconstruct how they teach our children. They learned a new way to ensure that all of our children were still learning. Everyday. From the classrooms all the way to gym class! I have never regretted my decision placing our son in this amazing school. And I know anyone reading this review will not either. We never intended to stay past Kindergarten, but the quality of instruction, and Montessori methods were a perfect fit for our son. Enrolling him was one of the best things we could have done for him. He is neurodivergent, and the teachers and school staff have worked closely and thoughtfully with us to ensure that his needs are met and that he continues to grow and learn. He has spectacular social skills, and is particularly sensitive to, and encouraging of, students who are younger than him. We are confident that when the time comes for him to make a transition, he will have a solid foundation, both in terms of academics, and socially. They foster leadership skills, public speaking skills, empathy, creativity, inclusion, and an appreciation of the outdoors. I should note that I work in education, and have done so for the past 15+ years.
