They treat the teachers so poorly that the turnover rate is more than they can handle, causing the rooms to be severely and illegally understaffed on a consistent basis. This means some children become left unattended for hours. This isn't a temporary problem, it is a repeating pattern showing a clear inability to manage the facility. Some of the teachers are lovely and do a great job of caring for the children. But the upper management is pure degeneracy and interferes with the teacher's abilities to do their job. It is a shame that a few people can cause such a downfall in the care that the facility provides the children. There is no shortage of childcare in the area, please look in a different direction if you are considering childcare.

I called again the next day and was told I'd receive a call back. I called a third time the following week and was apologized to. The woman I spoke to said she would call me back in a "few minutes". I had a missed call from the center, so I called back to which the same woman said "Sorry I didn't mean to call you back, I thought I had time to speak but I don't. I will call you later". Never got a call back. There's no way in hell you have absolutely NO time during the day to return a phone call inquiring about enrollment. If you don't have space, then say that. Beyond unprofessional & I wouldn't recommend this place in a million years.

Oyster Babies was caring and understanding. My daughter had been home with me up until she started there and they were sensitive to her needs and didn't push her to socialize but also didn't ignore her. When they became concerned with some of her behavior they met with me right away and were of great assistance getting her a full special education work up through Mill Neck Manor. They are a little expensive but they offer early and late care as well as flexible days. When I first put my daughter in school there I was working retail so I needed to have a sort off odd schedule and they were more than accommodating. The other wonderful thing is that food and all activities are included in their weekly/monthly fee. They serve breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. All the food is tasty and they serve a variety of different things. The center director is there almost all the time along with the assistant director. They are both wonderful people and will help with parenting problems and unique family situations. My daughter is really happy there and has loved all of the teachers she has been I contact with. The center strives for a home feeling in a school environment so all the different teachers are familiar with all the students and can call them and usually their parents by name which really makes everything seem more homey and friendly. They are definitely worth considering. We couldn't be happier unless they were cheaper. Haha

We wanted her to be in a loving environment and what better place than Stellar Tots. Weeks within switching our daughter over, we started seeing positive changes that we had not seen before at the old daycare. She was so happy in her new environment and had easily adapted to her new daycare and loving teachers. At the old daycare - we felt our daughter was ignored and not shown any affection, which we could tell with her daily behavior, constant diaper rashes and in the end unexplained bruises and injuries - which was the final straw for us to pull our daughter out. We are so glad we got to meet Stella who came with great recommendations from other fellow moms. In this past year my daughter has progressed so much in every way possible we could have possible thought of and more. And she has never had a single diaper rash during this time! I cannot say enough good things about Stella herself and her amazing team of teachers and assistants that she has around the kids. They all go above and beyond to create the most loving environment for the kids. The communication throughout the day is great and even after hours if I have a question Stella is so prompt in getting back to me. My daughter loves Miss Stella and Miss Irina so much and looks forward to go to Miss. Stella's house every morning and even asks about them over the weekend. We never intended to stay past Kindergarten, but the quality of instruction, and Montessori methods were a perfect fit for our son. Enrolling him was one of the best things we could have done for him. He is neurodivergent, and the teachers and school staff have worked closely and thoughtfully with us to ensure that his needs are met and that he continues to grow and learn. He has spectacular social skills, and is particularly sensitive to, and encouraging of, students who are younger than him. We are confident that when the time comes for him to make a transition, he will have a solid foundation, both in terms of academics, and socially. They foster leadership skills, public speaking skills, empathy, creativity, inclusion, and an appreciation of the outdoors. I should note that I work in education, and have done so for the past 15+ years.
