I've been on the quest of trying out all the local donut shops in the Prosper & Celina area, and JK Donuts has been up to the standards! I came in on an early morning during weekday. People would come in and out, so I was surprised by their popularity! It's a no-fuss donut shop when you come in, but it has a very welcoming vibe! I was really appreciative of their prices too! They were very reasonable and less than the ones I've gone to in the area. I got a dozen donuts, a specialty marshmallow donut, donut holes, sausage kolaches, and a hotdog roll. The woman was very kind to heat up the bread goodies, and she also boxed up the specialty marshmallow by itself! Little things like that truly make me smile. My total ended up being around $25 iirc, and that is less than most donut shops around here! Woo! When I came home and tasted the kolaches, I was in heaven! Their dough was soft and sweet and was the perfect compliment to the savoriness of the sausage. It was like every bite just kept you wanting more! I also liked the hotdog roll, but I wished I'd gotten the jalapeno one instead! Anyways, the donuts were great! None were too sweet or overglazed. I especially love the strawberry ones and the blueberry donut! I love that they stayed fresh and soft after 2 days too! My family and I will visit again! read more

This small shop has the best customer service. They are great at being attentive. The selection varies, and frankly, I get there so late that it's on me. But I haven't had any donuts that I didn't like. They're always fresh and no stale bite. They are good and as expected. What are my favorites? I'm so glad you asked, I'm happy to tell you. The Apple fritters are amazing. I break off pieces and eat it all weekend. The gal that works there recommended the red velvet and the cruller which I never would've tried and I've never looked back. They always offer to heat the kolaches (sausage in crescent dough) which is fantastic because I always forget to ask. I'm they also have a variety of breakfast items and a bulgogi burrito (Korean style beef) that I consistently forget about, but is a delightful treat. Pretty standard strip mall donut shop. The people are friendly and the sausage rolls are better than the place near the square in Celina. I do always wonder why none of these places attempt to serve good coffee. That would be next level. read more

This is by far my favorite donut place in the area. They're so kind and it's always kept so clean. They have all your traditional donut types but they also have a small grouping of "specialty donuts." They're anything from holiday to superhero themed. Sometimes they even have unicorn donuts. I wish that I could give zero stars. My husband just picked up donuts and kolaches this morning. The kolaches were almost burnt and super dry. I used to love their maple cream sticks but today..... they were dried out and had NO CREAM in them. I'm not even wasting the calories to eat them. I could tell that they had nothing inside and was no shock when I ripped both open. Waste of time and money which is a shame since they are right in front of our neighborhood. This place was so good and so FRIENDLY!! They have traditional european style kolaches which are like rolls stuffed with the egg, cheese, and what not. My husband and I went this morning, (Saturday) around 10:15 and they were busy, but not overwhelmingly. The food was excellent and the service was sweet. We will most definitely be back! read more
