The glaze donut was denser then I like, but it wasn't bad. I am not really a fan of heavy glaze, but the glaze was typical for donut spots. I really like a crunchy old fashion, this one was softer. The half with the chocolate I didn't try. But my son said it tasted "regular". Lastly, the cronut. A nice sugar cinnamon would have been sufficient but they only had blood orange and dulce de Leche. The sign said 100 layers. The dulce on top was delicious. The cronut? I don't know. Definitely wasn't 100 layers (maybe I misread the sign). It was also dense. It wasn't bad as a regular donut, just didn't stand up as a cronut that I've experienced before.

We recently moved to Aubrey and we are searching for our go-to donut shop. There are a lot of…read moreshops to choose from in the area and so we started the quest with Bakers Dozen. We were most impressed by the kolaches - the variety of choices and once we got them home the flavor. The sausage they use is much more flavorful than typical donut shops, it kinda amazed us! We especially enjoyed the jalapeno sausage kolaches - they have a hint of sweet glaze on top that really makes you feel you're having a gourmet breakfast bite. The donuts were tasty, airy and slightly dense too, if that makes since. I'm not sure how else to describe it. We prefer our donuts to be airy soft and essentially melt in your mouth so we'll keep looking for those ... But the kolaches!! So good!!! It will be hard to top those. We may have found our go-to kolaches shop in the first go round.
