The coffee left us wanting for a little more! Not sure if it was the syrup or the coffee itself but something didn't seem up to par! Can't wait to try more of the bagels/sandwiches!!

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the lavender iced latte. It had no lavender flavor, so I asked if it could be made a bit stronger. Instead of remaking it or mixing it for me, I was given a cup of flavoring and had to add and mix it myself. While I appreciated the attempt to fix it, it wasn't the customer service experience I was expecting. Overall, the food was great, but the coffee and service regarding the drink could use some improvement.

I've been to this location multiple times, and I'm never disappointed. I've tried, their chai, matcha, macchiato, and now their pistachio honey latte and it is delicious. Super pleasantly surprised, and already considering ordering a 2nd one. Great spot to meet with friends to chat, or to get some work done. The coffee had a strong, bold flavor that I liked, but it was also a little sour. That makes me think it may have been under-extracted. You may want to adjust -maybe the grind was too coarse, the brew time was too short, or the coffee-to-water ratio was off. A few adjustments there could make a big difference. I'm happy to give it another try and see how it goes next time.

The bag I bought was roasted within the week and it was very good coffee. They offer a variety of roasts in store and boast pour over. I prefer a pour over or chemex. When I requested one however the barista indicated they would prefer to offer me their brewed coffee instead. I asked how long ago it was brewed. They said an hour (ew). Also I had requested the dark roast and the brew was medium roast. I know better than to trouble an employee who does not want to work ha! So I took the brew. It was ok but not what In wanted. I hope Kona Reserve reads this and understands: while you have an adorable store and good coffee, if a coffee lover comes in and requests your hand prepared coffee when that is what you offer, consider giving it to them. You are a craft coffee culture. Otherwise it is a huge disappointment. Plenty of parking out front in the mall. Easy access on the highway right next to the gas station. I came for an event one time & knew I had to bring my husband back to try it. I loved it even more the second time & he now asks every weekend to drive out there. I got the mascarpone coffee. I didn't even know that was a thing. It was my new favorite coffee! My husband got a lemonade & really enjoyed it. Not pictured here are the donut holes. I really appreciate the mini apple fritters. I've never ordered them until Detour Doughnuts because I won't eat a big one. They are the perfect size and delicious. So are the regular doughnuts holes. I think the brown sugar cinnamon roll might be the best donut I've ever had. It was fantastic! But truly all of them are great. I love the texture & flavor of everything I've tried. I appreciate that their pricing is clearly marked & set up for different portion sizes. It is a bit more expensive than normal donut shops but they are also more specialized than a basic donut. For what it is, I didn't think it was overpriced. The restaurant is small but people are pretty polite about space & not hanging out too long. The customer service was excellent! We had a good time chatting with the employee that helped us. My husband's a jokster & she handled him really well. 10 out of 10 recommended! We'll be back for sure!

I also brought home the fig & mascarpone, crème brûlée, maple éclair, Dubai chocolate, and mango lassi doughnuts, and every single one was fresh, creative, and packed with flavor. It's clear they put a lot of thought into each seasonal and specialty creation. I also had a refreshing matcha lemonade that paired perfectly with the doughnuts. Between the quality of the pastries, the welcoming atmosphere, and the excellent customer service, this is a spot I'd happily recommend. If you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by--I know I'll be back for more.

I was running my errands early Saturday Morning and decided to swing by and grab breakfast. I went thru the drive thru and order was placed. When I got to the window I was greeted by a young lady, I was about to pay when I asked her that I would love my Nova Lox open and toasted. She looked confused and said we don't do that. I said I always get it like that and should not be a problem. She said well we don't do that hear. I asked why? She said food would be contaminated. I said what, why not? She would not give me a answer but just said we won't and will not do it here. I asked to speak to the manager. Sydney approached the window and said we will not do such thing and said this store does not do this. I said I have been there before and never had a issue with this request. And I visit about 3 of these locations and never to seem to have a problem with this request at any of them. Bottom line it was a horrible experience. And times like this you would think you would like to keep customers instead of running them off.
