One word...yummy. Small locally owned business. If you like regular (nothing fancy or frilly) then this is the donut place for you. I usually only get common ones like glacéd, chocolate and jelly filled. The donuts are super soft and fluffy. read more

Super fresh donuts in little elm. We stopped by on a Saturday morning and were promptly greeted. My 2 little ones picked out a smattering of donuts and when we got home they were super happy. I really liked how they boxed up the special donuts (cool looking rainbows icing etc). They also threw in some donut holes in the box to fill it up which was a nice touch. Love this donut shop! The food is always fresh, and they are always putting out new donuts. For about $20 I'm able to feed my Sunday school class. This is my new go-to for birthday donuts! My sons 11th birthday was last week. They made his happy birthday donuts. They were beautiful and made fresh that morning. They decorated them beautifully. I've been here for donuts before and it's definitely worth passing 2 other shops to get here! See my photos for they speak so much more than I can write! If you are wanting a good doughnut, then don't come here. They have flavorless air circles, drenched in a glaze that is just way too sweet. The kolaches are mediocre. The bread has no taste but the meat is flavorful. The best thing about this store is the service. They are super friendly, but the food just isn't good. read more

Excellent and a must try! Now that we moved to Prosper we have a 15 minute drive vs our old 4 minute drive...it's worth it! Friendly staff, delicious donuts! We stop here almost every weekend after church. Make sure you get here early on Sunday before all the fun decorated donuts are gone! We've gotten themed donuts such as TMNT, Sesame Street, Batman, Spiderman, and Minnie Mouse. I ordered Happy Birthday donuts for my son's 6th birthday and couldn't be more pleased. I was quoted over the phone and I just told them it's for a boy who is turning six. The best donuts I've tasted in a VERY long time!!! I recommend this place to EVERYONE! Definitely brings JOY to you. I was skeptical because I hadn't had a decent, light & fluffy donut in quite some time, but the FIRST bite I took... MELTED IN MY MOUTH! I couldn't stop eating them! We've been going to joys donuts for around three years now and it's still as amazing as ever. Their glazed donuts are amazing even though they're the most plain of the donuts they have. Every menu item is delicious and better than any donut shop I've ever tasted, I'd say they're better than Krispy Kreme. Service has always been just amazing as the food and would recommend to anybody I come across who is a donut lover. read more

I used to frequent this place at least twice a week, but they changed management about a week ago and now everything is terrible! The cashier checking me out was very rude, the kolachies didn't taste the same, they had very little selection, and the prices went up quite a bit! I appreciate that their pricing is clearly marked & set up for different portion sizes. It is a bit more expensive than normal donut shops but they are also more specialized than a basic donut. For what it is, I didn't think it was overpriced. The restaurant is small but people are pretty polite about space & not hanging out too long. The customer service was excellent! We had a good time chatting with the employee that helped us. My husband's a jokster & she handled him really well. 10 out of 10 recommended! We'll be back for sure!

Plenty of seating, as well as products to choose from with at least 3-4 separate kiosks around the barista stand. And then of course my favorite, the mounted flat screen television over the barista stand for your enjoyment. And oh yes, the customer service is excellent. The baristas are about as chill as a Steel City Pop on a July metroplex day. There is anywhere between 1-2 baristas at this location, so if you find yourself in a line of folks with just one barista present, just relax your mind for a few. And while you are at it, check out the sushi & soup stand directly behind you if you want to grab something to go with your Starbucks beverage. While not a part of Starbucks (strictly Kroger), its still a pretty convenient thing to have, especially if you are on a lunch break or other. One of the best Starbucks-grocery store set up that I've ever seen. Completely blows the type of setup seen at any Tom Thumb, Safeway (for those up north), and SuperTarget.

Growing up here this donut place has always been the go to. I remember in elementary school…read more(Kindergarten) we once took a field trip WALKING to eat here and I found my absolute love with the taste of these donuts-specifically the white ones before I expanded my pallet. Now a senior in college I still come by early and pick up a dozen (donuts-and snacks) for the fam when I visit from uni to give my parents a break from picking up donuts themselves. The lady started recognizing my parents and I as regulars years ago, so as you can imagine it's always nice returning and starting the day off in a familiar and friendly environment. Kudos to the family that runs this place for the many years of being awake when no one else is to prepare North Colony's amazing homemade pastries. I truly hope everyone can enjoy countless more years of service here.
