I absolutely love, love, love this place!! To begin, the ladies who work here are super friendly and nice. Oftentimes they gift me extra donut holes or cinnamon sticks! My favorite pastry they have is the spinach one (I highly recommend!!!) But, what I really love is their cool galaxy glazed donuts and the custom designed ones too! This neat little spot has such love and support for all the communities around that they have pictures of different customers who have come to their stores all around the walls. Delicious fresh donuts perfect for a weekend morning!! I'm a huge fan of their donut holes and their custard filled donut. I love how my custard filled donut was filled "to order" right in front of my eyes. The employee was very generous with the amount of custard, and the custard itself was smooth and not too sweet!! I just popped in to get a donut at this place I saw while driving and so glad I did!!! And all I gotta say was wow!!! The donut dough is exactly the way I LOVE! Nice and fluffy, tad chewy and perfect moisture in it. Not dry at all. It is definitely one of the best I've been. The place had a line so I decided to get verity of donuts to try out flavors. The layout of the shop doesn't give you an immediate view of the donut case, so you're not always sure what's going to be in stock, but the packed tables assures you that they have some goodies available. D J Donuts offers interesting donut varieties such as red velvet and maple bacon, and like another Yelp pointed out, they're the only donut shop I've seen actively using their jelly/cream dispensers to fill some huge powdered donuts--so yes, they'll make them to order. read more

Our morning ritual on Sunday is getting donuts and kolaches and today we decided to try a different place from our usual place. It's hard to get donuts and kolaches wrong I think, but this is definitely our new go to place for our Sunday ritual. The kolaches were a little better because of the quality of the bread and the donuts there were pretty neat! They have the usual of course, but they also have some funky ones with fun colors and designs on them. They're basically just iced glazed donuts, but I love the bright colors and variety. I also liked the vibe of the place a lot more. Overall it felt very inviting and feels like it's part of the neighborhood, family owned type feeling I suppose. The coffee station was pretty substantial as well and the women their even gave us a free donut, which is great! I would love to go earlier in the morning sometime to really see what they have to offer, (we went at about lunch time, so the breakfast crowd had come and gone). This donut shop is delicious! We're new to the area and used to "dime a dozen," on every corner standard donut shops where we came from in Southern California. Here they are a little more expensive than we usually paid for donuts, but the quality is worth it! This shop? Far above average! Their donuts are so soft and fresh. I love that they have several filling options (though I've only tried the custard), but they fill them fresh right in front of you. That's something I've never seen before. Their chocolate is also amazing! The perfect balance of sweet and savory. If you haven't tried the chocolate-covered donut holes, you are missing out! My only issue with this place is that they only allow the small, round donuts to be included in box of a dozen. My kids like chocolate long bars, so I always get two. I wish they'd let a mixed dozen actually be mixed! read more

There sure are a LOT of donut shops in TX! I was out exploring and happened to check if any near me had good reviews on Yelp and of course one popped up nearby. I'm usually NOT a fan of cake donuts and typically go for the plain ole glazed. To my dismay they were out of them! I ordered half a dozen assorted yeast donuts and the woman helping me was super sweet and threw in a few extra donuts. One of the extra which I had easiest access to grab and eat in the car was a chocolate cake donut. Omg! It was delicious! Instead of the dry dense cake donuts I've had in the past this was light and moist and super chocolatey! And the other yeast donuts were even more tasty! read more

Fancy shapes and icings that look cool but lack any taste other than powdered sugar, corn starch, and water. Worst sausage egg biscuit ever. Owens microwave biscuits are better.
