I walked into the store in need of a special dress for an event that evening. Note: I despise shopping. Despise it. I was filled with dread as I declared, "I hate shopping. I have no idea what will look good on me, but I need a dress." That was all it took. Immediately, I was given a dressing room and dresses were brought to me to try on. This was the best experience of my life in a clothing store. Not only did I find a dress that looked great on me, but they had a seamstress in the store to make the necessary alterations right then and there! When I visit American Dream Mall's location, I'm always asked if I'd like a dressing room or if I need help with anything. I tried everything on then took pictures of what I liked and decided to go support a store's sales with better customer service -- American Dream Mall. Their prices are pretty high, but I've been content with the quality of clothes that last more than a year or a few washes. Nowadays a lot of clothes only lasts a few washes before it starts pilling, stretching, shrinking or discoloring- I've had good experiences with Torrid's clothing. Although high in price, sales are great.

Buyer Beware! Believe the bad reviews here and know that there are more. I heard terrible stories,…read morebut thought Shelly wouldn't run a business so dishonestly. We purchased a prom dress in March and was told it would be ordered new and in by May 7th. It was not and when I asked for tracking information she said she didn't have it. When the dress finally "arrived" in mid-May, it was stained, had no tags and had pulls in the fabric. I asked if it was the sample. Shelly said no, but could not show us the sample bc 'they got rid of it.' With less than a month to go, we moved forward with alterations and a promise that it would cleaned and fitted. Ultimately, I picked up the dress less than a week before prom. It was still stained. Never sent to the dry cleaner, even after Shelly told me that she sent it to NYC for a special cleaning and I should be thankful. The alterations she did make were sloppy and the dress was poorly fitted. We took it to another tailor who could only make slight alterations to her sloppy work. He showed us how she only took-in one side of the dress!! Unfortunately that meant that the dress would be off-centered. I reached out to Shelly to express our disappointment and she didn't respond. Save yourself the potential for such aggravation!!!

Second, the shop's playlist was one point -- the kind of music you listen to if you're ever home trying on clothes or when you're getting ready for a night out. Their selection is cool, trendy and fit better than I expected. I'm switching up my style this year so I tried on a few things I wouldn't normally try on and I loved seeing myself in something sexy and different and a little risqué even (not pictured ;)). The shop attendant made me feel welcome and comfortable and not pressured while shopping (which I really appreciate). I got a few trinkets for myself and will be back for more. This is probably one of the most chaotic Nordstrom rack locations I have ever been to. However this inside of this location seemed a bit disorganized as there were boxes and bags everywhere. Also I've noticed these discount stores seem to allow everyone to bring their dogs in. I am a huge dog lover but your barking out of control doodle which is clearly not a trained service dog has zero business being in a store. There are ample amounts of clothes and shoes and accessories but it does take some time to sift through what you are looking for. I would say 60/40 of the store has a good deal if you are knowing where to look.
