J. Hoffman's is exceptional. I didn't realize that Lubbock had such an extraordinary store. It doesn't surprise me that they have been in business here continuously for over 50 years. Although I realize that I'm nothing special, when I walked in the ladies made me feel as though a king had arrived. They are quite poised with each of them demonstrating a beautiful, sweet demeanor. If you're a male, they will offer as much help as you might need in choosing something special for your wife or significant other. Their eclectic inventory is of exceptional quality and appeal. After I had purchased the item that I had decided upon, it was placed into a very attractive gift-bag with pink tissue paper neatly placed on top. It's easy to give J. Hoffman's a 5-star review, but I wish that 10 stars were an option. They would deserve every bit of it. read more

J Hoffman's is super expensive. I would be okay with that if they had a decent sale rack, but nope. Pretty much everything is $200... okay that's exaggerating, but I did see a few items that were over $200 so I am not being ridiculous. I will say that the $216 dress was cute. Apparently, they only have a sale twice a year. Okay.. cool.... I'll be back then. The only reason I came here was for Kendra Scott - love her. They have a decent selection for it not being a Kendra Scott Store. read more

had anna help me at the color bar today. she didn't seem interested off the bat. very rude and not helpful. i wanted a certain item made and she said they don't make that size?? (i've definitely gotten the bigger size earring before but whatever) then proceeded to give me attitude when i asked for a necklace. when i told her i had to think about it (because it's not what i came in for) she kinda just stood there and watched me shop around. i finally was ready to make the earrings and necklace and she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. got the items made and she scratched the metal on the earring, i asked for her to replace it and she huffed and rolled her eyes. i'm spending $55 on some earrings and i don't want them scratched. when checking out the chip machine wasn't working so she put my card in manually and threw the card back at me after. also upon getting home and looking at my jewelry, i noticed that she just threw my necklace into a bag and it was all knotted, she didn't put it on a backing. so here i am unknotting my necklace and really regretting ever going there. i'll just stick with the professionals at the kendra color bar in dallas. so rude and very unprofessional. read more

This place has a great selection, actually and epic selection, but their sales rack really is not good at all. I wanted a t-shirt, but I just can't spend 40.00 on a t-shirt. The staff was nice, but they hovered and it made me feel "watched". read more

I get tired of going to Dillard's and Forever 21 and seeing 30 other girls wearing the same outfit - J. Hoffman's is a great little boutique where you can find unique items nowhere else in Lubbock. These clothes found here are cite, very trendy... aimed towards the young/trying to be young crowd. The staff was friendly (I almost didn't want to be asked one more time if I needed help), but when I did... the sweet little girl became like a best friend to me. Bringing me clothes that would flatter me, asking me where else I could wear it too. They have cute outfits for gamedays around here, be prepared to spend though. My only complaint would be the presentation. The store was a little crowded and overwhelming, a little dirty.. Nonetheless, a good experience that makes me keep them in mind. read more

This store is extremely over priced! The owner charges double plus $5-$15 of the original price. Vicky Hoffman is VERY snooty and will only work with the women who will spend $1000+ each time they come in the store. She also treats her employees very poorly depending on whether they are a favorite or not. I would not recommend this store. Try T.C. Ellis or Chrome for similar styles with a better environment! read more
