The waitress was super friendly and attentive and did a really good job. It's a clean and comfortable restaurant with plenty of food options. I had the asada fries off the appetizer menu and it was a very large portion of food. They were just all right, nothing to write home about. I will go back and try more food. read more

Hold on, I lived in Williston for almost 3 years, stopping in here several times a month and never wrote a review? Dang, I was really slacking. Alright people, it's Williston, ND. The poor town is completely overrun and the standards of service have been completely lowered, it's just the way it is. So yea, the staff here is not the best during dinner and as the night goes on, but take a look around and tell me that you'd like to be serving a bunch of rowdy oilfield trash (I can say this because I'm a member)??? Nope, that's what I thought. Decent food, probably the best bang for you buck in town honestly. Loved the pizza, and wing night on Wednesdays was always a good deal. Good beer selection, at some point from 2010-2012, they got Shiner on tap and I was STOKED! Also, try the "local" stuff from Beaver Creek Brewery in Wibaux, MT. There's a smoking section...which is also where the party is at, so if you want to party, don't complain about the smoke, easy as. Like I said, lots of rowdy oilfield trash, so just be prepared. So, maybe I've had to lower my standards because we are talking about Williston, but thus far, I've not found better meals or service in Williston. The food has been decent and the service has thus far always been good. The bartender remembered our drinks a week after we were in the first time (and we only had a couple). The oil boom has indeed made customer service rare in Williston... but no complaints here. read more

Cough gag..this place needs better air quality control. The smoke is horrible inside from the moment I walked in. I think everyone in Williston young and old smokes cigarettes. I'm thinking the hospitals are only going to grow here with a sick population. If you're in the medical field, you need to come running and open up medical office or clinic. So...that's what I noticed throughout the restaurant/bar...all the youth smoking cigs. It's unattractive to see what looks like physically fit men and women toke on a cancer stick and the fact the it makes people cough up phlegm the following morning or whenever is gross. NOTHING LIKE GETTING TO KNOW SOMEONE WHO SMELLS LIKE AN UNCLEANED ASHTRAY and the smell stays in your hair and clothes. Nothing says "Cmere baby' like the smell of sweaty odor, 3 hour old cologne and stale smoke. I didn't care for it. It looks like the only place for young people to go out in town so if you plan on opening a bar or some other source of entertainment for these folks in Williston, the market is wide open and there's no shortage of land if the oil company hasn't bought all rights to everything yet. I heard their pizza is supposed to be pretty good but how on earth does anyone want to sit there and eat a dinner in the lingering stench in the air. It's just plain nasty. I have no desire to return. The only good thing I can say is the caucasion waitress with the wanna be a rasta hair having chic but doesn't know how to achieve it was very friendly. Poh thang! I've been to J Dub's a few times. The first time was late at night and we weren't there for very long, so I didn't get a chance to eat. But, while I was there, someone walked by with a pizza that looked amazing! Ever since then, I have been very interested in going back to order one for myself. Well, last Sunday we were looking for a place to watch the football game and I remembered seeing a bunch of large tv screens at J Dub's the last time I was there. So, my friend called to see if we would be able to watch the football game there. We drove all of the way to Williston to watch the game. Well, I'm not sure who it was that he spoke to on the phone, but it turns out that J Dub's is closed on Sunday! That was very disappointing and more than a little confusing for a couple of reasons. Anyways, we decided to try again on a week night and were pleased that it was actually open when we arrived. The parking lot was packed and the side streets were lined with cars. We had to wait awhile once we got inside for a table to open up. I was set on getting a pizza and was pleased to see that they had quite a few specialty flavors available on their menu. I decided to go with the BBQ pulled pork pizza with pepper jack cheese. My friend went with a full rack of ribs rather than a pizza. The wait for our food was fairly short and we were able to play some Williston trivia in the little booklet on the table, as well as watch several sporting events on the big screen tvs which lined the walls... would have been perfect for watching football on Sunday. The pizza at J Dub's was very good and it sounds like the ribs were amazing! I am definitely interested in going back and trying some of the other pizza flavors... including the nacho pizza. Greeting, ordering, and serving always takes way too long. The waitresses never come back to see how the food is or I n.v you need anything not to mention they have always been kind of snotty. I ordered a salad with dressing on the side. Not only did my salad come drenched in a bottle of dressing, they then proceeded to charge me for "a side of dressing." Idiots. read more

One of the better bars around Williston, but again that doesn't say much. The food is mehh and the service is about the same. Gets pretty crowded on the weekends. The back bar gets pretty smokey but it's a good chance to people watch and watch karaoke. read more

Have agree with those that say "Poor Air Quality" and "Too Much Smoke"... as a bar it is Loud and Smokey. But the back resturant is or was fine when we were there the other night. And the FOOD - Excellent!!! The proportiions, HUGE! Had delicious Pot Roast - ate half and brought home half for dinner the next night with 2 sides and salad all for $15. Good. Good. Good. And the Servers in both the Bar & Resturant are some of the Best and Friensliest in Williston Now!!! read more

THIEVES. I used to go here for trivia until I got tired of having to flag down the waitress for another drink. Always been amateur food and poor customer service. We ordered Door Dash from J Dub's tonight and instead of getting the Hand Cut 16 oz ribeye with a Ceaser Salad that I ordered I received a tough 12 oz Cajun Ribeye with NO salad. When I called I was put on the phone with a very non-sympathetic and disrespectful staff member. She said, "well what do you want us to do about it? You are giving me hell for a ceaser salad?" with a teenager like attitude. I replied, "Okay this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced" and asked to speak to the manager. She then said, "actually I am the manager" in the sassiest way possible. What a joke! As a supervisor myself I'm shook she would talk to a customer like that or resort to foul language. She blamed Door Dash for my order not being correct (even though they made the food and gave it to him to give to me) and said if I wanted my money back we would have to come pick it up. She never apologized for anything or owned up to the mistake they made. We will never give them business again or recommend them. The best part about it was when she said, "You guys ordered steaks the other day and no one ever came to pick them up" and I had no idea what she was talking about because I've never ordered from them before via door dash. No doubt she only cares about her job title, not the customers. She was sadly mistaken if she thought I was just going to let it go and let someone treat me like garbage. Door Dash gave us an $18 coupon towards our next order but we certainly won't be ordering from here ever again. Stay away unless you want to be degraded or robbed. Good riddance J Dub's. read more

Very chill and clean atmosphere, great variety, and the waitresses are usually friendly.

Don't go at dinnertime go at lunch time because there's never any body there! B sure to get the chicken alfredo pizza! Also be sure to ask for top shelf liquor cuz they use some nasty bar vodka! It's a bar people not a restaurant so don't go in expecting a restaurant atmosphere...fun place, I recommend! read more

My first time going was when I went with colleagues to celebrate one of my co-workers birthday. Service took far too long. The food was pretty decent though, the bostic cheese sticks with Alfredo sauce was good. I loved the nachos. I went again to order take out, the spot isn't my type of place to just sit and chill. I think the food is pretty good for a bar. It does get very crowded on the weekends though. The service can range from acceptable to really bad. Ironically, this doesn't seem to depend on how busy the place is. Sometimes it can be a quiet afternoon and you still can't get service at a table. read more

We've eaten here quite a bit and have never been disappointed. The food has always been delicious. We were last there on Tuesday and had a great meal and great service. Our only previous complaint was the smoke-filled atmosphere and that problem has been eliminated by the new smoking ban. Big menu lots if choices and pretty good food. This place feels like more of a bar than a restaurant but solid overall.

Tonight the service and food was pitiful. DQ would have been better! Our service was so bad! After a 10 min wait and the waitress passing by 4 times without even so much as eye contact, I ordered my drinks and grabbed menu's at the bar myself. Another 10 minutes and 4 more fly byes and another customer grabbed an order tablet offering to take our order! Got the food 15 minutes later and was cold and old tasting. The waitress never stop back to see if everything was okay and when I asked her a question she told me she was too busy chasing someone down to make sure they paid the bill because she couldn't afford to pay it out of her pocket. read more

Not bad. Had my share of service and food issues here, but for a Williston restaurant it's nothing I can't look over. You might have to speak up if something is wrong, and you need it fixed. The servers don't seem to take it personally, so long as you don't. I love the cigarette smoking. I think anything that drives those fake-coughers away is a hell of a selling point. It might be why I keep coming back. I don't think it's the burgers, but you never know. They are decent enough, and consistent. It also has a few decent beers. Horrible ceasars, but it's too many chefs in one soup by the taste of them. Less is more. Of course every bartender makes a different ceasar, maybe it was an off day. Like maybe the dishwasher was mixing them. I don't know. I've brought non smokers and smokers alike here. Even sat in the smoking section with a non smoker. I didn't hear one complaint. Maybe they save their whining for Yelp, I don't know. I kinda doubt it though. The food is decent enough to consider as dinner (and I can be a bit picky about my big meal), always good enough to call lunch, the portion sizes are gigantic. I don't think I've ever finished a plate there, even after trying over a few beers. I did have some issues with misrepresentation on the menu. I didn't exactly want green bean fries when I ordered my toasted onion green beans. But maybe they had to make a quick sub without asking. I don't know, I don't dare order them again. Keep it simple and they'll treat you right. So long as it's a few blocks from home, I'll keep it high on my list. Even if it isn't perfect. read more
