I would give it a 0 if I could. I have terrible credit. I informed them of that. The finance guy was absolutely rude, disingenuous, abusive and mean. He berated me on my credit report about each short coming. Hostile was more the word. All he had to say was" we can't sell you a car at this time". But he proceeded to chew me up one side and down the other. Claiming he was going to "fix" my credit. I walked out. It was so bad my husband , who has Alzheimer's, cried in the car on the way home. Well I was a customer from 2021 to 2025 and just looking for reliable transportation. I chose the 2014 ford escape the first day off the lot the transmission went out 5 minutes after driving it off the lot. I went through 4 transmissions a lot of cussing and fussing before they decided they were tired of putting money into it. So from there I was sent up to Dayton to pick another piece of sh*t just recently in march of 2024 it drove good for 6 mos and than all of a sudden I hear something jiggling at the bottom mind you the vehicle which was a 2013 Chevy Equinox and was told oh one of the guys drives it to Virginia and then back to Dayton . I as recently in a rear ended accident and the truck was total loss and now because they are now franchise and not corporate I have to do and insurance roll start a new contract with a bigger down payment. What away to treat a customer corporate or franchise. Let's just keep screwing the customers and taking them up top no matter how good the credit and payment history is. I'm not happy at all they are requesting a &1000 down payment and me having $600 to $700 is not good enough. I'm more disappointed with the treatment of along term customer on payment than more so how I'm being treated. 0/10 read more

We bought a trailer blazer and had to put a motor in it was covered but took 3 weeks so we had it almost paid off should have paid it off and been done but we traded it back in got a car well it was ok at first 2 weeks later they did a oil consumption test was using 2 1/2 quarts of oil in 500 miles so they said it needed a new motor so they got one said it was new well there mechanics suck they broke more stuff then was broke and left bolts out I had to put back and took out my battery and replaced it with a junk one so they said it needed 485 bucks more work that I had to pay for exhaust well not even a year and that motor blowed up well 1 month later they said to have one of their places that do work for them to put another motor in it well he done a great job great place good people but 2 months later the car is over heating the new exhaust I paid for rusted off so there was no new exhaust I called them about the motor issues over a week ago no call back nothing still owe 15,000 on the car and its junk stopping payment they can come and get it I will never buy another one off them and I will make it my mission to make sure everyone I know and everyone they know never buy one either place needs put out of business for taking peoples hard earned money for selling junk. read more

This place is amazing! I went in yesterday because I had 500$ to put down on a car. I explained to them I'm a 25 year old working full time and have horrible credit due to mistakes I made in the past and I've never owned anything nice like the car I got from them. I was supposed to also trade in my little beater car but I explained to them I wanted to sell it off to someone else and they still even added 900$ with the 500$ I put down to help me even more to get a vehicle. Doug Goodman I believe was the name of the man that helped me. This guy is honestly incredible, as soon as I walked in he was extremely friendly and very easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable during the process because I've never financed anything in my life and was a little on edge. Doug, I hope you get a raise bud, you're incredible at the work you do. Within just a couple hours, I was able to drive off with a 2014 Ford Fiesta and I gotta tell ya, it's the happiest I've been in my life. The car is in nearly immaculate condition and makes me feel like a millionaire while driving it. I'm so happy I came here because I was on the fence a bit about it, I've heard people say negative thing about this company and I really don't understand why. They were extremely friendly and helpful and helped me in every single possible way they could. I recommend that if your credit is shot, and you live in this area and want a good experience and a lot of nice cars to choose from, I would tell you to go see Doug Goodman and JD Byrider In Beechmont. Thank you so much for everything you guys did for me even after I said I was going to do a trade in and changed my mind, you guys still helped me and even helped lower my payments. Well 6 months since the last issue, still less than a year of owning the car and a transmission leak I was not made aware of has done it's toll and my car needs a new transmission. I've been calling byrider in beechmont option 2 for service department and option 1 for sales for over a week now. Was told they would call me back by the sales department, never got called back. I've left 3 messages explaining the issues and providing my number so they could reach out, still can't get ahold of anyone and nobody has reached out. This is rediculous, a car that has a transmission that's gone out within its first year as well as the previous extremely serious issue. I owe 14k left on it but it's not even reliable, I guess it's more reliable that ever getting ahold of someone from that dealership....... read more

I do not recommend buying a car from here. In the future I will be buying elsewhere and will be telling others to not go here. I had issues with my car the same day I got it. The sales people became rude after purchasing a car from them. The service team always has you waiting 3+ hours even with an appointment for a car that should have had these issues taken care of before they put it on their lot for sale. read more

I get that there are 9 cars ahead of mine but that doesn't take 6 weeks. I know for a fact it doesn't. Our van doesn't need to wait for a part to come in so what is taking so long? If you're waiting for a part for one of those 9, move to the next car until you get the part. Now our cat's sick and needs a vet but we have no way to get there. Don't ever buy a car here!! They are very unprofessional and complete crooks. They will charge you twice bluebook value when your vulnerable from bad credit and young age. Then your car will break down after 4 months and that fancy"60,000 mile warranty" they flaunt at you wont cover a single thing. Absolute trash business and hopefully they are one of the businesses who go under during the Covid-19 crisis. Oh and they messed up paperwork when I initially bought the car and my car was repo for 3 days until they fixed the problem. Had to drive 20 miles to pick my car up with mud caked all inside and all my belongings in garbage bags and broken. Would NOT recommend you go here, unless you want them to screw you. Left a good review when I first got the car, because the sales guy I had asked me to, but I had no idea what I was in for. I've only had this car for maybe 2 months, and have had to take it to them to be fixed 3 times! The first time, the back window got stuck 2 days after buying the car. I took it to them, had to wait like 2 days because they had to get the motor they needed for it in, but that got fixed and I was happy. Then the transmission started going out a couple weeks later. Took them the car, because we have a warranty and Mark told us we paid extra for the warranty but we would get full reimbursement for a rental and everything which was a lie! They apparently only cover $26 a day, yet they want you to go to enterprise or hertz, which have no cars for that price at all, not to mention I got a van because I have kids so I can't use a tiny car. Went to get the reimbursement check from them after getting my car back, which they had for a week. The rental cost me $400 but they only paid half, and then that's when they told me it wasn't a full reimbursement. Also had to take them the car again because there was a miss, they were suppose to change breaks and didn't and it had a few other issues. Dropped my car off on a Wednesday, the lady from the service department Shannon called me that same day and asked if we had our key. We told her we left it on the counter, like they told us to. We told her we had a spare key we could drop off if need be. She said she would let us know. I called Friday that same week because I hadn't heard anything, had to leave a message because they had a meeting. The guy told me he would have Shannon call me after the meeting that day. She never called, shocker. Called again on Monday, finally had someone walk back to service to find out what was going on. Then Shannon proceeded to tell me they NEVER found my key and wanted me to bring in the spare! So my car was sitting there for 6 days, not touched at all, because they didn't have a key because they lost it and then decided they weren't going to call and tell me. Took my spare key down, finally got my car back Wednesday of the next week, so 8 days later. The rental costs me $600, and they wanted me to call a lock smith for a new key, but said they would pay for it. Also they didn't fix ANYTHING they were suppose to. They rotated the tires and thats it. Finally got the check today, after calling every other day and even speaking to the manager to find out what was going on. It's been a month since they had my car. And the check they gave me was $302 exactly half of what I paid fore the rental even though for 6 days they didn't even touch my car. Asked to speak to Corey who is the gm again, and he of course was out of the office and wouldn't be back until tomorrow. I recommended family and friends to come here, but I would stay far away because they are crooks and liars. read more

False advertising. Will tell you whatever you want to hear. Claims of credit not mattering or only needing a paystub and down payment are complete lies. I was told to bring one paystub. I have 3 jobs so I brought three. Not good enough because I wasn't at those jobs for 6 months. Credit not being a factor is a laughable joke. Went through all the negative items on my credit as another justification for not being approved. My advice is to go to a reputable dealership. The "buy here, pay here" lots are nothing but a gimmick and used to scam people with outrageous interest rates. The large, reputable dealers can help people with low credit. Many times they don't keep many used cars but look around. They have far more resources to help you and don't need false advertising in order to lure you in. JB ByRyder should be an absolute last resort. Their lies start in the advertising and continue through the salesman. They just want to run your credit in order to get a loan with criminally high interest rates approved for you. Stay away from them. Too many good dealerships to bother scraping the bottom of the dumpster and using JB ByRyder. Disgusting business practices designed to prey on people in difficult financial situations. read more
