What a great little place to snag a tasty breakfast. Lucky to find this place on Yelp. Be advised…read moreit is a cash only. You can always tell a great locals spot and this place was filled with them. We were happy to score a table so we could enjoy our breakfast. We ordered the Belgian Waffle which is the dish they are known for. In addition, we ordered the breakfast burrito, fresh squeezed orange juice, and a hot chocolate. We loved both of our dishes but the Belgian Waffle did steal the show. It was probably the best Belgian Waffle I have ever tasted. The burrito was also good. Loved the OJ as you just can't beat freshly squeezed. Service was helpful but not too over the top. The space is small but there are quite a few tables if you come early. This place is easy to locate in downtown Ft. Bragg and parking is on the street. I would definitely recommend and return here again.

There are signs on EVERY table that say you can only sit if you get the items for here, but we asked if we could get to go cups so that we could take our drink to go. They made it seem like we're unwelcome if we did this. We wanted to eat our pastries there (we don't like eating stick stuff in the car, so sue us) and be able to take our drink with us to finish later. We felt pretty uncomfortable doing this, but again, I didn't want to eat sticky stuff in my car. The pastries were pretty good, I would say my chai latte was not very good though. I am glad I asked for my drink in a to go cup because I got to finish it on the road, which I would not have been able to do if I was made to take it in a glass.

Roadside attraction [Garberville CA]…read more I know it's a tourist trap but it was very cool to see inside the log house. We checked inside the gift shop to purchase tickets at $2/person. You will be given a ticket with a 4-digit code plus a separate code for the bathroom. The gift shop also serves coffee and some food items and has a separate room in the back that serves as a dispensary. Yes! This is Humboldt County after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If driving along Highway 101 towards Avenue of the Giants, it's pretty hard to miss seeing The One Log House, located next door to the Grandfather Tree. It's made from a 2100 year old gigantic redwood tree in crafted in 1946. It took 8 months to gut and hollow out the room and is 7-feet high and 32-feet long. I was able to walk inside nicely (I'm 5'2" hehehe). The log house toured the US in its early years until it settled in Redwood Country in 1999. Inside is just like a home complete with a kitchen, bedroom and living space. It seemed a perfectly livable residence. But anyway, there's the kitchen complete with various spices and salt, a breakfast nook, dual beds, reading tables, bench, books and magazines. I couldn't resist stepping in to check it out. One Log House is nestled in the heart of the Redwood forest. Worth the stop. Review #2512
