Small little coffee spot. This coffee spot does have an outdoor eating/drinking area, and drive-through. No line what so ever and service was fast. The gentleman that helped us was extremely nice and helpful, with all your questions. I had the Valentine's Day special which was a chocolate (almost like a tuxedo/zebra) raspberry mocha (10-10) and asked for it to be extra sweet. I have to say the heart xoxo sticker on my cup was a plus for Valentine's Day. Or next order was a chai tea, extra sweet (8 out of 10). I'm excited to stop by again when I'm visiting this location. Second visit to this location. The very next day, cause my drink the day before was worth the 45 minute drive back from Fortuna. Drink's were not as good, however I will be visiting again. After a long drive from San Jose area heading towards Avenue of the Giants. Decided to give this coffee shop a shot by taking a quick stop for caffeine to wake myself up. The plus point for me the was the drive-through coffee experience. I have not come across a drive-thru coffee shop in the South Bay, hopefully we get some to open sooner! We got the "drink of the day" to go which was a brown sugar cinnamon breve. Service was great. This coffee had the right amount of espresso and sweetness that blended in very nicely! Definitely tasted notes of cinnamon in the coffee. Nothing beats great coffee after a long drive! They have these little quotes on the sleeve of the cups that are also very fun to look at. With this experience, I drove back the next morning before our drive back home. And this time with a breakfast sandwich to go along with it. Small coffee with a croissant sandwich for under $7. I go to Humboldt County 2-4 times a year to hang out with friends, shoot guns, ride 4-wheelers, jet skis, drink too much and chill out. One of those occasions was last weekend, and after driving straight through from the Bay Area I arrived in Garberville done and dusted. An evening reunion dinner was planned and late night hi-jinx were likely, so I had to rally. So I hit the Getti Up drive through coffee shop like I usually do. The lady who manages the place and her daughter are the sweetest people. Even though I'm only up in this neck of the woods a few times a year they always remember me and the people I hang with around here. It's the personal touches that make this place such a pleasure. For me it's a little more than a cup of drive through coffee and definitely a part of the Humboldt experience whenever I'm here. Rally juice in the evening, the almighty degroggifier in the morning. I usually get their regular French Roast coffee or a double shot mocha depending on my mood. They have baked goods and although I don't usually partake anywhere, I do get their almond poppy seed muffins frequently. I don't know if they bake them, probably not, but they are fresh and yum, but be careful Yeeples, poppy seeds are no bueno if you need to take a pee test the next day. Avoid when necessary so the man doesn't think you've been changing your pitch up.... The drive thru line can be crazy long in the early morning, but don't worry, the cars scoot through pretty fast. There used to be a burger joint adjacent to the coffee stand on the same property. I never had a chance to try it, but I noticed that it was replaced with a massage/foot massage place. My back was in a state of emergency after the long trip so I tried it the next day then grabbed a morning coffee and hit the road. Want good coffee with pleasant, country hospitality? Seems like the one thing that SF lacks that everyone else has is more drive thru coffee places. When you are road tripping, sometimes you wanna stop and sometimes you want to keep on going. It seems that most of these reviews are for the restaurant which seemed to be closed at the time. We pulled up to the drive thru coffee kiosk in search of some iced coffee beverages for the long ride north. The girls here took our order from the car window, by the time we got to the drive up register the coffees were ready and we were on our way. My iced coffee was pretty good, no complaints and a good place to stop on the way up to the Humboldt County Area. read more

Apparently some of the earlier and more negative reviews for this place talk about it as a burger joint which may now be closed but this is for the place as a drive-through/walk-up coffee stand only. I note that there is what looks like a burger joint area in back that is always closed up when we have been here but the first time we came here was only 2013. Anyway, this is a very good coffee stand that is a favourite stop when in, or going through, Garberville. We have consistently had very good coffee and tea drinks, both hot and iced (usually iced because it's usually hot when we're here), and the service always seems good. The sweetness levels are great - others in the family like the drinks a bit more sweet but that is easily remedied. They do not have a great variety of things, at least not on the menu, but what they have is great and it is a welcome stop when in town. read more

We had just started driving back from the Redwoods and I just needed a nice hot mug of cocoa! Quickly pulled out my phone to look for a cafe. Getti up was the only one that was open at that time. Love the concept of drive thru coffee places and wish I saw more of them in the South Bay! It was a pretty quick stop, service was great and the yummy cocoa made the drive even more beautiful! Used to order burgers for lunch for pick up here.. The food was decent but the service was always horrible... Last time I ordered out I went to pick up my order 20 minutes later and sat for an additional 50 minutes watching 5 people go through the drive thru and 3 other groups come in .. get served.. eat.. and leave. All the while they kept telling us ours was coming. That was the last time I ever ate there... Employees/owners are sluggish and don't like their jobs. Heck, I don't blame them but you could TRY to fake it when customers are around. It's Garberville's drive-through coffee experience, on the main drag, adorned with a nice rusty horse scupture with rain barrel (on the south side) which the local birds adore. There was a year sparrows nested in the horse's mouth, so sweet. The only time I get coffee here is when my eldest son and I are off to something dire or returning from something dire. (for something dire, read, "drat, he convinced me to see my doctor and is escorting me hence to make sure I comply") (well, that's a good thing, actually; I want to live a long life so I may drink more coffee). The young women who work here are spritely and friendly and quickly grab that cup of whatever. Coffee is good. If you are on foot there is indeed a window by the sidewalk where you can order as well, but it seems Getti Up gets the crowd on wheels (and there is often a line). They do offer an assortment of coffee and other beverages. There is a restaurant behind the coffee stand that has been closed for a while, but I'm seeing signs of life--maybe this summer? read more

You might die before you get your food at this place. After placing my order and waiting 30 minutes I asked if my order had even been started yet. When I was told they hadn't even started it yet, I asked for my money back and left. Another woman waiting in line who was a local said this was typical for the place. Yes, it was Sunday around lunchtime, but please, hire more help for the busy times. To top it off, the waitstaff were pretty blase about the whole thing. Service is is definitely not a priority here. The coffee Kiosk has been great each time I've been there - but the restaurant!!! yikes! the food was so-so, the service was AWEFUL at best and the staff obviously hate their jobs and their customers. we Literally waited for our food for 45 minutes with NO apology or explanation for the wait! My 5yr old was traumatized by the experience - she actually cries if she thinks Im going to pull in there "NO GETTI UP!!!!" and I always have to reassure her that we are just getting coffee! For places like this Yelp should change their "1 star" to a "0".. for the coffee drive thru, the service is ok, but your always at eye level with their rear ends. They are quick, so I'm not sure why the coffee is sometimes warm. You can see beans in the grinder so they're freshly ground but the coffee usually has an old and bitter flavor. I have had some ok lattes here but they're too inconsistent to waste my money. Now the burger drive thru isn't as bad IF you order ahead of time..because the wait, if you just drive thru, is not worth it. The burgers are fries are ok for the price, in this town. However, I'm rarely in such a lazy mood to go here. read more
