Very responsive and professional emergency service. We had a pipe break on our well system late…read moreFriday night. By Saturday morning, it had become a gusher. Unfortunately the break appeared to be under a concrete slab, and it was not obvious what the damage was. I started calling well system companies I had used in the past or recommended by family. The first two I actually spoke to (you know the weekend drill, leave a message with the answering service and wait for a call back) said they did not have the equipment to break the concrete and were not sure if they could fix my problem because of the concrete slab. Really? Working my way through the yellow pages I called several more (only one other one besides R Acres ever called back). I saw the ad for R Acres and I remembered that the Acres family had been in business in the area for a long time. Although well systems were not featured in the ad, I took a chance they could help me and called. I left a message and within what seemed like only minutes, Alan from R Acres returned my call. I explained my problem to him, he said he had a chipping hammer on the truck and he had already put my address in his GPS and could be here in 30 minutes. He was. In roughly an hour, he had cut a 1'x2' working hole in my concrete, found the broken pipe, gone to the shop to get parts, and returned & fixed the problem. Seriously, think about that. I was totally impressed by how much was accomplished in such a short time. Considering what the hourly rate for a plumber is, that is a really big deal. I had to wait for the glue to dry before I could restart my system and by then Alan was already off to the next emergency call. But Alan even called me back a couple hours after he left to make sure everything had started up ok and was dry. R Acres is now number one in my contacts list and I will be confident to recommend them to anyone who asks.

If I'd known that I would have bought a new one. Well, instead of verifying it was working she said just wait an hour and turn on the unit. No hot water. I ordered a nice Rheem unit and the technician showed me that the ball valve on the cold water line (fill water) was closed! She should have known it was broken. The handle had no resistance. They need to send out a trainer with inexperienced techs and they should verify the unit is working before they leave.
