During the project, we all agreed that only five long shelves would fit in the pantry, and the sixth shelf would go in the laundry room. We also agreed not to install the smaller shelves because there wasn't enough space. They offered a $35 discount for that change. My biggest disappointment was the barn door. It was brand new in the box, but they said it was damaged and still installed it without discussing it with us first. We were also charged the full installation price. I believe better communication and honesty would have made this a much better experience. I feel they didn't want to let us know about the damage on the door beforehand bc of job scope changed. Definitely feels like we got scammed for 6 floating shelves and holes in our walls. The work itself was good, but the lack of transparency left us with mixed feelings.

I don't claim to be a construction or house painting expert, but everything was done well. Paint is precise and neat--no random drips, no paint accidentally sprayed on other surfaces like windows, etc. Luis was very communicative both to me and to the neighbors next door. He and his crew were friendly and respectful. And timely. Showed up when he said he would--and accomplished what he said he would. These days when every contractor is so stretched, finding someone who does what you want and completes the job when they say they'll complete the job is a big win! Also, he did two extra things (at least) because he said he felt better about going above and beyond than leaving it just ok (as in the original HOA agreed upon contract). 1. He removed some small unneeded pipes that had not been used for years that he felt might be a tripping hazard. That work required a couple of plumbing parts and some labor--and he offered and completed that out of his own pocket. 2. He also painted the front door just so it would appear as fresh as the newly painted trimwork.
