He gave us a time frame of when he'd start the work, started on time and finished on time. Every step of the way we knew what was going and who was going to be in our kitchen and when so we were able to plan around it. Prices were very reasonable. We added on a few extra little things, and they got done with no problems, extensions or significant extra cost. He also helped us make a case to a vendor who sold us the wrong size counter/sink combo; other contractors may have just shoved it in and grouted in then wiped his hands of the job, but here we got real advice and support. Really, we couldn't be happier with our new kitchen and the whole experience!

Boston Exterior Remodeling is as good as it gets. When the city inspector came to sign off on our…read moreproject, he told us: "I was a contractor for 20 years before becoming an inspector, and you don't see superb work like this anymore. You are very fortunate." We could not agree more. BER transformed our 130-year-old home with extraordinary skill and care. They stripped the old shingles and clapboards, applied multiple layers of protective barrier to the original walls, and installed new state-of-the-art composite clapboards and cedar shingles. The bottom course of shingles was individually notched to replicate the original detail, and the dentil molding was reconstructed by hand. The team also completely rebuilt our bays in PVC that, once painted, is indistinguishable from wood. Every line, corner, and transition is precise. They worked through extraordinary conditions--from 10-degree winter days to 100-degree summer heat--without ever compromising their focus, craftsmanship, or attention to detail. Joe Danz oversaw the project closely from start to finish. He communicated warmly and consistently with the three homeowners in our building, accommodated additional requests fairly, and remained committed to the work until every detail was right. Our neighbors--including two architects--stopped to admire the workmanship as the project progressed. Our home has been restored to its original beauty with durable materials and craftsmanship that should last far beyond the current owners. We are deeply grateful to Joe and his outstanding team at Boston Exterior Remodeling. They exceeded our expectations in every way.

SHOUT OUT to TRUBLUE FENCING CO! We couldn't be more delighted with our new fence in Stoneham…read more Where to start? They truly care about providing quality work, both installers Jimmy and Dustin are proud of their workmanship, as they should be. Not all fence installers are the same. For one, it's crucial to dig 3 feet down to secure your fence and not all do. They were faced with tree roots, hidden bricks, bushes in the way and consulted with us as they went along, in event we had any concerns (like where the property line was). Owner Jim Puopolo manages the business side. They do not contract out. Installers Dustin and Jim are pleasant, enjoy what they do and have many many years of experience. They were able to get us the style of fence we wanted where other places we tried could not. Since they had to cut out some roots, there was a gap in one area and without asking, they put rocks to block, knowing we have dogs. Along with fence installation, they offer GUTTER INSTALLATION and POWER WASHING. TruBlue are a friendly team aimed to please. I highly recommend (857) 206-2947 http://www.trubluefencewakefield.com/

I kept being told this was a "small job" and there would not be any issues. They set only a few of my chain link fence posts in concrete. Most of the posts were left loose. All the post caps were loose and some were missing. Fence was not installed in straight lines. I got the feeling that my fence project was a learning tool for a crew of inexperienced installers to learn on. James had come back to my house to tell me that everything was going to be made right. Since that meeting it has been like pulling teeth to get them to come back to my house to complete the project. I had made the mistake of paying the whole price before the job was done. I did so because they seemed like honest contractors. It's been over a month and they still haven't been back to finish it. Wouldn't recommend hiring this company.

The relationship ended before the chimney cleaning and resealing of a furnace vent into the chimney was done. However, I would recommend the following when dealing with the owner, John. These are practices that you could use with any vendor who works on your home. 1) Make sure that the proposal is broken down in terms of how much he is charging for each service (i.e. repointing, painting, chimney sweeping etc...). DO NOT accept a total cost only proposal. 2) Avoid being pushed into paying any money beyond the initial deposit before all the work is completed. 3) Do some research to determine how much his price for services compares to those charged by his peers in the area. I hope this helps.
