I think the business has grown too quickly for the owner. At the start of last spring, I was…read moreinformed that for routine mowing, they only wanted to keep customers that would do this weekly. I acknowledged it was their choice and thanked them for the services they had provided to date and would have to find someone else who would stick to my biweekly schedule. The owner stated they understood and would keep me on biweekly. Great. All was going fine until the first week of August, my invoice for mowing was $10 more than it had been all spring and summer. When I inquired, I was told, "It's because you switched from weekly to biweekly." I wrote back that I hadn't switched, I had remained biweekly from the start and had been charged the same rate all along until just then. Had I been informed that by remaining a biweekly customer my price would increase $10 from the beginning, I wouldn't have batted an eye, but to randomly change the price months in without warning was kind of crappy. I got no response. Whatever. I kept AMH on for winter snow removal, ensuring I got a contract so I wouldn't be subject to any surprise fees. After the first snowfall, I realized my invoice was lower than it should have been. I (stupidly) pointed this out to the owner, wanting to do the right thing and be an honest customer. He was very appreciative and said an update would be out. In between getting an update, we had another snowfall. It wasn't much, but after waiting all day, I sent a message asking if he was still out clearing. I got no response. I tried one more time later that night. Still no response. The next day I got the updated invoice along with a second invoice. For the snow that had fallen that had not been cleared off my property, despite repeated messages asking if they would be out. I was apologized to profusely, and told that upon the next snowfall, they would even salt free of charge. Mistakes happen, I appreciated they owned up to it, and they stayed true to their word. After that, we had another minor snowfall. Once again, I reached out once it was over to make sure AMH would still be out. I got no response. Hours later I sent a follow up. Still no response. Hours after that I got a hold of a different company who was out within 20 minutes and did the job. I sent a third and final message to AMH stating I hired someone else no need to bother replying. And they sure haven't. The work they do is good, but clearly they need to get their act together as a business. If you're willing to risk hiring a company that may or may not show up to do the job or may change their price on a whim, then you will be very satisfied. If reliability and consistency is what you're looking for, I advise you look elsewhere.

I contracted with Henley Landscaping for two projects: full lawn replacement and full landscaping…read moreof property (planting of approx. 50 shrubs and trees, removal of pine trees, pruning of all exiting shrubs and trees, edging and mulching of existing and new garden beds, etc.) Henley did a good job in installing a new lawn and based on this work I made the decision to move forward with the second project. The landscaping project did not go as well as the first project (initially overbilled 50 hours, charged for services not performed, charged for goods not provided, shrubs/trees ordered were substituted with other shrubs/trees without owner knowledge or approval, damaged grass not repaired, lack of onsite project management, phone calls and emails not returned, etc.). If I had not been on site when the work was being done, I would never have realized that I was being over billed for hours not worked and goods and services not provided. Henley agreed to reduce its original invoice by 17% to reflect actual hours worked and goods and services provided. I spent an extraordinary amount of time dealing with Henley to ensure the project was completed as originally agreed and the final adjusted invoice was accurate. Additionally, Henley had committed and recommitted several times to replace a Juniper tree that was distressed/dead in some areas when originally planted....never returned to property to make good on its commitments.

Two part review: 1) I had a dog yard with dog turf installed…read morea few years ago and the crew was excellent and did a great job. However 2) Follow up Customer Service is awful and I don't know how this person continues the business. Last year 2022 I had an issue needing a repair, never saw Joe, he sent two workers that spent no more than 15 minutes, couldn't explain why the issue occurred and left supposedly having fixed it. April this year 2023, the exact issue occurred. I contacted Joe and told, he'd get back to me. He didn't so a few calls later he did and told me he'd stop by when "in the area". It's now 2 months later and no sign of him. His office person told me on 6/14 he was coming that day. No show. I've left messages twice since with no call back. So If no issues post install, great but expect nothing but lies, no communication .. if anything needs to be done after the install. Go elsewhere!
