"Well they call me the workin' man I guess that's what I am."  In a world where nothing ever lasts…read moreas long as it should Harbor Freight remains a prime example of this with their complete line of semi disposable tools. That being said there are alot of bargains to be found here you just gotta know where to look. Don't let the breakaway sawzall blades and shattered drill bits scare you off, just head over to the safety aisle and grab up a pair of protective work gloves and some safety glasses which are coincidentally and conveniently alot cheaper here than at any of those big box stores.            And while I wouldn't exactly trust buying any big ticket rechargeable power tool kits here, I have grabbed up some decent deals on contractor garbage bags that could definitely come in handy in the unfortunate event that you did purchase any of these "one and done" tool kits. The same can be said for any of their pneumatic tools too only the failure mode with these is usually more of an exploding air hose, but no worries because duct tape is very affordable here so a quick fix across the ruptured hose and they'll be good as new, Lol!!     In all seriousness tools are directly related to my bottom line so I'm alot tougher on them than maybe someone else would be. And when all is said and done this place really does sell some pretty cool stuff at very affordable prices and in today's economic shituation we find ourselves in, that just might be their greatest offering in the entire tool box. And That's the Name of that Tune!!

Friendly staff! Awesome store. Very clean and fully stocked! Glad they opened up!!!!!read more

Before reading further, I need to say that I did not make a purchase from Hackettstown Trading…read morePost, but I have been there many times in hopes of making a purchase. My husband and I have been to Hackettstown Trading Post numerous times looking for couches and new appliances. First of all, everything is WAY overpriced. When they have sale or clearance items they mark up the original price to outrageous amounts so that the "sale" price ends up being the original price. Example: a couch marked as 70% off showed an original price of $5,000 with a "sale" price of $1,500. This was for a basic plain love-seat. Now, unless the upholstery is hand stitched by Swedish virgins, there is no way a simple love-seat should start at $5,000. It's a scam. The staff is generally not helpful. While browsing the store, we saw around 10 staff members, only 2 of which acknowledged us, only one offering any assistance. The store currently has large signs in the windows and throughout the store indicating that they are going out of business and everything must go. Signs say that all items are 30% - 70% off, but, as stated previously, that seams to be a ploy to get people to stop in. Unless a 8" tall plain white lamp is really worth $180, then the sale price of $60.00 really is a sale. Overall response- Stay away. Save your money for someplace that won't try to gouge you with fake sales.

BEWARE.... Horrible Experience! Bought a washer/dryer set - washer did not work from day one!…read moreTrading Post sent repair men twice - washer STILL never worked. Third repair man (on 4th day) told me i needed a console control for $378 AND $100 service charge!!!! Bought this washer/dryer set for my business but was told AFTER installation that there was no warranty on these items!!!! Drove the washer back to the store but Trading Post would not take this defective washer back. So much for trying to support local business..... Bought another washer from another retailer and never had a problem - worked immediately. Obviously The Maytag that was sold to me was defective. STAY AWAY from Trading Post!

Lowe's Home Improvement - All of the parts brought by a third party repair man from almost 3 hours away, 4 visits later, a pile of failed parts

I had an exceptional experience when buying a lawnmower from Lowe's. I initially went to customer…read moreservice to inquire about a lawnmower I saw on the Lowe's app, the customer service staff answered all of my questions and even printed out warranty forms so I could read them before I committed to purchasing the mower. The lawnmower was not available in store and I chose to have it delivered and assembled at the store. Tony at customer service was great. He kept me informed on when it was delivered and the status of the assembly. I scheduled a time with Tony to pick it up and when I arrived he and another Lowe's employee brought it to my trailer and loaded it on for me. Tony and the others at customer service made my purchase enjoyable from start to finish, better service than I could have asked for.

Only Home Depot, never Lowe's again. When the manufacturer s they promote mistreat us, Lowe's will…read moreside with the manufacturer. Not YOU. WE WENT AND ASKED IN PERSON THREE TIMES. This is the first negative review I have posted about Lowe's. In approximately 24 years, my husband and I have owned three homes. Each got new kitchens and laundry and we nearly always used GE. I have never called for help with a GE warranty- nor have I ever returned a major appliance. We bought a brand new 4.5 cu. ft. no frills GE washer on 4/6/25. After 5 weeks it died. GE has a 13 month old "concierge appliance service" called Bodewell. I called them and they said they have no technicians near us- North Jersey is the most densely populated state, But it seems like nobody wants to repair appliances for "Bodewell". But they got a third party company who sent a repairman from 3 hours away. Since Rt. 80 fell into a seven story deep chasm, there were delays. They refused to let me switch to someone closer. So, 4/6/25 we pick up a brand new machine. 5/14/25 it breaks. We work from home, there was no problem with appointments. 5/16, 5/19 and 5/26 The repairman came and replaced latch assembly, water pump and main board and relay, plus disassembling to make sure the filler tube wasn't clogged due to a known manufacturing defect. The repairman said that three tries was the limit, call up GE. I did over and over and they kept telling me they were emailing me. Finally, somebody discovers they have misspelled my email even though they had used it successfully for weeks. They also refused to return calls even though I told them I wasn't getting emails. Bodewell said they had zero evidence a repairman had been there 3x. The third party service provider assured us that they keep getting parts from GE for this machine- I have each one here with serial numbers and model numbers! Even the boxes with labels! Bodewell told me to chase down the repairman to chase down his boss instead of handling it because they had made the arrangements. Long story short, I took it out of the basement because I had been told they would take it back. They told me I would have to reinstall it in my basement down all the steps AGAIN because they wanted to try to fix it a fourth time. I wasn't concerned because I have never had a problem like this with GE. I felt pretty sure that when they found out how glitchy the process was, that I spent $250 on laundromats, $300 on a new used washer, $80 on a truck rental not to mention how sick with hemolytic anemia as I am through all of this... GE said they will not permit a return and return my money. I must accept the new washer as a replacement, and no they do not promise better service in the future. They didn't even think it was a problem. LOWE'S WILL NOT HAVE YOUR BACK. LOWE'S WILL ALLOW AN ABUSIVE DISORGANIZED MANUFACTURER TO SUBJECT YOU TO MORE OF THE SAME. LOWE'S DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS WHEN YOU PRESENT EVIDENCE OF 8 HOURS ON THE PHONE, OVER 30 EMAILS, PHOTOS OF THE PARTS LEFT BEHIND AS EVIDENCE THE WASHER WAS JUNK.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Donaldson's Greenhouse & Nursery! Everyone who works here is a delight…read morebut I must speak to Denise who is literally the sunshine of my life ever since I met her. I had little to no knowledge on gardening prior to my first visit and Denise has been so patient and so kind teaching me many many things. I love her classes - and can't wait for the one she has this coming September. We make these gorgeous seasonal centerpieces which I can plant right in my garden as well. When my lemon tree was not thriving, she nursed it back to health for me because she is the mother of all plants. There is no other place like Donaldson's and what makes it the most special is the sunflower of the nursery and that is Denise. I am so happy I found them and I look forward to going just so I can see Denise's smile.

When getting an estimate, I clearly stated that I wanted low maintenance shrubs and that I wanted the clay removed and that I wanted room to be able to plant flowers. I was told 10" of topsoil would be sufficient. While there may be 10" in some spots, there mostly isn't. I can't plant marigolds without removing clay and putting in purchased potting soil. I bought a drill and auger for planting bulbs....the drill hand up, because it hits clay. Furthermore, the guys showed up a day early while I was digging up @50 lilies in full bloom. Dave said to just leave them and they would set them aside for me. When I got back, there were no lilies. He apologized and said they forgot and to stop but the following spring and he would replace them. When I went back in the spring, he said "I don't remember that." No integrity. I have to say, they did a nice job on the walkway. However, when I asked if we should do the front steps first, he said no... that it would be easy to remove a couple of paving stones and put them back. When we had someone out to look at the steps, they said it would be a lot more expensive to do so. After they put the rhododendrons in, I drove over to their facility and asked if they needed to be fenced for winter. I was told no. The deer decimated them. Out of 4, we had to remove 3. One (now fenced) is trying to come back. The other bushes/trees are too close together. And removing some will leave weird gaps. So far, eight bushes/plants have died. There was also to be a planting area with topsoil around the septic posts. It first he did three little circles. When I said I wanted the whole area plantable, he extended it. However, it has never been plantable because there was about an inch of topsoil over rocks.
