We called ahead to see if the dealership could fit us into their schedule. Amy assured us they would work us in. On our way there, our 20,000 mile service reminder rolled up on the screen. When we arrived, we were greeted by other staff immediately because Amy was with another customer. Our Grand Highlander was taken into the shop immediately. While we waited they not only removed a nail and fixed the tire leak, they completed our 20K maintenance! We were speechless! I don't think we were even there for an hour. Kudos to Amy and her amazing team! We have never experienced the kind of consistent service with vehicle ownership as we have since purchasing our first Toyota in 2020. It was a no brainer to buy a second Toyota last year when our SUV was totaled. We are forever loyal Toyota customers from here on out. Toyota of Helena embodies true customer service which is challenging to find these days.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Dealership Alternative!…read more It's NOT FUN looking for a used car. I've experienced high pressure salesmen all over town; salesmen not listening to what I want, but rather, trying to convince me to buy something they want to sell. Many dealerships are not forthcoming about prices and play a sort of "game" where they try to wear you down so you spend as much money as possible. I just bought a car through The Dealership Alternative and had the best used car buying experience EVER! I worked with Jennipher and she was great to work with. She listened to me, worked within my budget, and found a better vehicle than I ever thought I could afford.

Standard used car lemon laws do not usually apply, but you have strong legal protections. Because the dealer explicitly lied or misrepresented that problems were fixed before purchase, you are legally protected under fraud and deceptive trade practices laws, rather than standard lemon laws. Hmmm wonder who's right

And Zach helped Sam do everything right and deliver the perfect new truck. I needed to replace my truck again for a stronger one because I got a heavier trailer, and at first I thought I was going to get a slightly used diesel Ram 2500 because I needed more towing capacity, but after looking at everything, I decided on a dodge ram Laramie 3500. 23,000lb towing capacity and 4100lb payload capacity means I'm not going to have problems towing my new toy hauler! But that's just half the story. The other half is the level of service at Lithia from Sam and Zach and is unparalleled. Not only did they see to all the details I needed with my battery cable installation, but they personally drove my truck back and forth to auto trim design TWICE to get it outfitted with the extras while I was waiting for the sensors for the bumper install, and then they delivered it 15 miles out to my house when it was finally done. I highly recommend Lithia dodge of Helena. Ask for Sam or Zach and they will take care of you!

Ryan listened to my concerns and genuinely seemed interested in making things right. Lithia agreed to replace the rear brakes, and that work has now been completed. I believe in giving credit when a business corrects a problem, and Lithia ultimately honored the agreement. I appreciate Ryan's involvement and follow-through. My original experience purchasing a vehicle from Lithia Chevrolet GMC of Helena was easily one of the worst dealership experiences I've had. On July 31, I looked at a 2019 Nissan Armada that had not yet been through Lithia's inspection. I took it to DJ's Automotive, which found the vehicle generally sound but said it needed tires and front and rear brakes. I made replacing the tires and brakes a condition of purchase, and they were put on the "We Owe." Because I planned to tow with the Armada, I agreed to pay extra for BFGoodrich KO3 D-rated tires. Instead, Lithia installed cheaper Kelly tires. After considerable back-and-forth, they finally agreed to install the correct tires. Communication throughout the process was terrible. Dates came and went without calls, and I repeatedly had to go to the dealership for updates. When the correct tires were finally installed, I was told I owed about $650. I had agreed to $80 per tire, or $320. The additional amount included costs related to replacing the tires Lithia had installed incorrectly. I refused those charges and paid the agreed $320. Then I discovered the rear brakes had not been replaced. Lithia said they only replace brakes below 3mm. DJ's measured mine at approximately 2-3mm. Lithia first measured them at 5mm and later at 4mm. Regardless of the measurement, replacing the brakes was part of our purchase agreement. The original salesman was the bright spot in the experience, which is why I am intentionally not naming him. My complaint was never about one mistake. It was the combination of the wrong tires, poor communication, missed completion dates, additional charges caused by Lithia's mistake, conflicting brake measurements, and the failure to initially complete everything promised. I strongly recommend that anyone buying a used vehicle here have it independently inspected and get every promise in writing. That said, the story ultimately ended better than it began. After I met with General Manager Ryan Tuttle, Lithia reconsidered the situation, agreed to replace the rear brakes, and has now completed that work. That does not erase the original experience, but Lithia ultimately made it right, and they deserve credit for doing so.

I negotiated the price of a new Toyota Tacoma with this dealership over the phone while I was in…read moreCalifornia. After we agreed on the price, they asked me to put down a deposit of over $15,000. Since I had never seen or test-driven the truck, I asked if I could leave a $500-$1,000 deposit to hold it for five days instead. They refused. The next day, I agreed to pay the full deposit they requested. However, instead of honoring the agreed price, they changed the contract and increased the selling price before they would sell me the truck. That completely destroyed my trust in this dealership. After reading other reviews, I found that some out-of-state customers had similar experiences, where deals changed or vehicles were sold to someone else, leaving customers with wasted travel or pressure to buy another vehicle. Fortunately, I decided not to move forward. I ended up purchasing a brand-new Tacoma from a dealership near my home in California. Even today, I can still see the same Tacoma I wanted listed for sale, which makes me question why they tried to change the deal after we had already agreed on a price. I appreciate that they eventually refunded my deposit, but the overall buying experience was disappointing. I would advise out-of-state buyers to get every detail in writing and be very cautious before sending a large deposit.

Recently my girlfriend crashed and totaled her car that she was very attached to. Our goal was to find a replacement for it that was as close to her crashed car as possible. This was not as easy as it may seem due to the fact that the 2018 models were redesigned and out of her comfort zone. We were looking for a Specific year, Model, Color and Version. I had spent many trips to dealerships that told me the car we were looking for was not available due that it was a last year model. After many nights searching on the internet for it a Dealer in Ohio told me that the Honda Dealership in Helena had exactly what we were looking for. I called Helena Honda and talked to a GREAT Guy named Kourtney. He verified that they still had the car in stock and worked out a great deal for us. Since I live in CA. We hopped on a plane to Helena where Kourtney picked us up at the airport and let my girlfriend drive the car back to the dealership. Many thanks to Kourtney for making this sale very easy and enjoyable. My girlfriend says thanks to Kourtney also. Steve, Mission Viejo, Ca.
