I walked around the entire building to find an employee for help I couldn't find anyone. Another dog owner drove up with their pet and said that he had called before bringing his dog today and was told over the phone by the staff that the dog wash was open until 5pm. He also discovered that it was closed. It's incredibly inconsiderate of this business to lie over the phone and say they would be open until 5pm when that wasn't true. We will never return. The other dog owner recommended the dog wash at Tractor Supply in Wallingford. We will be going there from now on for our weekly washes.

It's done partially by hand and partially by machine. The outside of your car gets washed and dried. There are more premium washes too if you want your undercarriage washed, etc for a few more bucks. Bring cash because it's cash only. If you want your car vacuumed that's do it yourself but it's only $1.00 and the kind gentlemen washing your car would be happy to give you change. I vacuumed my whole car and trunk and still had time on the vacuum to spare. I have no complaints about Jiffy Car Wash. Best $4.99 I've spent in a while!

My tan upholstery has gone through many spills and unknown stains mostly from the last 8 years of my daughter. I use to go to Russell Speeder's for years and years and most of the stains they could never get out. Well Friday, I took my daughter to the movies and on the way home, she spilled my soda, a full large one at that, I drove to Russell Speeder's to which they wouldn't take me because they said they stop taking detailing at 5 and I was there at 455. So I drove off then pulled over and looked up detailing and East Hartford Carwash was the next on the list and it said they were open until 6. So I called and Dennis answered the phone, I believe he is the owner. He offered to look at the car and do a spot cleaning but couldn't do a full cleaning because it would take several hours. I was a bit surprised it took that long because my experience at Russel Speeders is, 30 minutes if there are no cars in front of you. Dennis explained it is because he has an actual carpet shampooer for cars and goes through the car front to back, not just the upholstery but also the carpeting. So I opted to wait until the next day to drop my car off to him. Dennis called when my car was done but due to an emergency that occurred in my family I was not able to get my car until today which was fine with Dennis. Well when I got their today to pick up my car, Dennis said their were some tough areas throughout the car but he did the best he could, well I was expecting to see the same stains remaining prior to the soda incident that brought me to him just like when I would leave Russel Speeder's. Well let me tell you, when I opened up my car door, I was taken aback and thought I was in the wrong car. Almost all of the stains in the entire car, front to back, top to bottom, were GONE!!! My car has not looked that good since before my daughter was born 8 years ago. Ok, now that I looked around more, not only did Dennis get out almost all of the stains in my entire car but he cleaned the entire car, dash, doors, console, detail wash the exterior, etc. He did a complete detail on my car and when it came time to pay, the price he quoted me over the phone, was the price I paid, there were no up charges for the extra work he did to get out the stains, there was no up charge for cleaning the dash, doors, console, nooks, cranny's etc. It was simply the charge he quoted me over the phone. Now when you drive up to Russell Speeder's for detailing, you can select either upholstery or carpet for one charge, if you want both their is an up charge, if you want both plus dash doors etc, their is more up charges and if you want a wash, etc more up charges. And after all these up charges you end up with a car that still shows all the stains that you came in with and you pay 300% more than you will when you go to EH Carwash. Ok, now EH Carwash is a diamond in the rough and a book that shouldn't be judged by it's cover. When you pull up, you will see a smaller building with two bays, one for the car washing and the other for the detailing. I was a bit surprised when I pulled up at first, thinking this isn't going to come out good but I had to get my car done and for the price he quoted me, it was worth the try. EH Carwash is simple but amazing and this is how they can keep their costs down. They don't have a huge building with a lot of overhead that drives costs up. This past month Russell Speeders increased my monthly fee for the unlimited car washes from $29 per month to $49 per month without even notifying me. This increase showed up on my checking account statement. No warning, no phone call, no email, no mail, they just raise the rate because they thought they could. I was stunned with this poor business practice that Russell Speeders does apparently to almost every customer This business should be investigated by the State of Connecticut consumer protection immediately for their deceptive business practices. I feel bad for the employees of this establishment because they actually are very nice. Management is terrible. Upper management is possibly the worst. $29 a month to $49 a month with no warning. Never again Russell Speeders never again. I have canceled my monthly membership. There are many car wash services in the area that offer monthly rates, and I'll be checking them out shortly. Make sure you have paper money because their change machine does not accept any change to give you the dollar coins. Luckily, one of the people there was willing to give me a dollar for my quarters. 4 minutes per dollar coin on the vacuums so I could only do the front seats of my car. They weren't very powerful but did (most) of the job picking up rocks, dried leaves, dirt, etc. from my mat. There was a lot of dust still left in the crevices, but like I said, not very powerful and you get what you pay for. Touchless car wash was alright - like previous reviewers mentioned, the blow dryer doesn't do too great of a job so you might want to get a towel and dry up the windows and mirrors so they don't streak or leave spots. Car is clean and it only took 15 minutes total, so not bad for a quick, cheap wash and half of an interior vacuum.

However, when I got home, I noticed that my rear license plate bracket and light were not there and there were just the wires. I returned to the car wash and the manager said I know what you are here for and gave me the broken bracket and bent plate. He said I needed to fill out a damage report and get in touch with corporate. I sent pictures and a description of what happened. Unfortunately the office didn't see it since it was in their junk mail. I waited two days to call and she did find it and asked me to include the estimate I received for fixing the light and the bracket. I received a call the next day from a Mr. John {I think his last name was Gumbo)who said it is their policy of the company not to pay damages on Jeep Wranglers that are damaged in their car wash.
