I've been a regular at this place for a long time. They know me by name, I bring friends and my girlfriend, and I've spent thousands here over time. Overall, I've always liked the place -- but there's one employee who consistently ruins the experience. The bigger guy working there -- you know exactly who I'm talking about -- has a terrible attitude every single time. No reason for it. This was the last straw. I came in around 9pm with my girlfriend. The place was nearly empty -- maybe three couples total. He immediately told me, "Sorry man, can't help you, we're way too busy. It's going to be an hour and a half." That made zero sense. I pointed out that the place was basically empty, and he doubled down saying they had too many online orders. That just felt like a lazy excuse to not deal with us. When his coworker looked like he was definitely about to take my order. It's frustrating because the rest of the staff has always been great, but this one person consistently treats customers poorly and doesn't seem interested in doing his job. At this point, I'm done. I won't be coming back or spending another dollar here unless something changes. A good business shouldn't let one employee drag down the entire experience like this. Since the old manager left, the place has clearly gone downhill. The only people consistently doing a great job are the ladies in the kitchen -- they're always friendly and actually make a solid burger. That said, the larger male staff member I mentioned should not be representing this business. read more

Was craving a burger, seen this spot was close to my house. Definitely above the traditional fast food quality. Service was excellent, staff were inviting and friendly. Would recommend. read more

Still absolutely a five-star burger- one of the best I've had anywhere. Patties are crispy smashed perfection- my go-to here is a triple (a patty is 3 oz so that's about a half pound of beef) with the spicy house sauce, onions and pickles. I love how much you can personalize your burger. Prices have unfortunately gone up; a double burger that was a bargain (for Calgary) of $10 a year ago is now (22 May 2024) $11.50. Still worth it! One thing confuses me: They have a challenge, it's to consume an 8-patty cheeseburger and there are photos of people who've completed the challenge. 8 patties is 24 oz of meat and for a competitive eater, that's not a huge challenge at all. So I asked, and it has to be completed in five minutes- something I could never do, so kudos to the five or so champs pictured on the wall. The only thing is that that burger currently costs $35, and if you "win" you get "bragging rights" and a "gift." That "gift" isn't the burger being free. Why would anybody undertake this painful challenge if they're not getting the burger for free IF they complete the challenge? I'll ask the management next time I'm there- this could be a huge win for the restaurant and could attract some major competitive eaters, but as it's done now, most people wouldn't want to try. read more

Went for a little tour of the shops on 19th St NW, off of Kensington Road in search of a sunny patio today and saw iyycburg and decided to give it a try. It's such a cute burger joint with one of the best smash burgers I've had in Calgary!! Service is friendly and quick, the restaurant is sparkling clean and cute! Burgers are made to order with lots of toppings to choose from. We got tots and the order is huge!! They also feature bubble teas and cute ice cream sandwiches too. I have no idea if this is a chain or not, but definitely make a stop next time you're in the Kensington area! read more

Wow, it's been a minute since I posted a review on Yelp...do people even use this anymore? (Also posted on google) hehe anywhoooooo....I visited iyycburg today (Friday) around 5:30pm thinking that it wouldn't been too busy but this place was BUUUMPPPIN' it was like the hot new kid on the block! Located in Hillhurst, right across the street from Made by Marcus, you definitely won't miss it! Music was pumpin', they have a fun vibe and they also have a pleasant assortment of burgers, sides, toppings, milkshakes AND even bubble tea! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with onion rings and we also ordered the double cheese burger with a side of poutine. Food came on these cute orange trays and looked fabulous! The poutine was really good, nice gravy, cheese curds that actually melt and crispy fries - we were really impressed. I had a bite of the double cheeseburger, tasty...reminded me of inn and out burger in the US (veeeery good!!!) and my fried chicken sandwich was excellent, crispy fried chicken, saucy but not too saucy and soft potato that melds everything together for the perfect bite...what more can you ask for??? Staff is super friendly, regardless how busy it is - they even came to check on how everything was. They've got 2 other locations: Sundance and Sage Hill!! I highly recommend popping by this place for a quality fast dining experience that offers really, really delicious food. read more

We waited probably 25 minutes for our food with only one other couple in the building but the food was well worth the wait. We had the crispy chicken sandwich with onion rings and chocolate milk shake as well as the double cheeseburger with fries. The burger was incredible. Nice crust on the patties and not too greasy. The house sauce was awesome too. The chicken burger was cooked to perfection - Crispy outside and moist and tender inside. The fries and onion rings were nothing amazing but good nonetheless. Visiting from the US......have to say, one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Not to speak any less of the super kind and fast service we received from the first moment to the last, but let's talk about the amazing fresh smashed to perfection meat. Wow! We got the double with grilled onions and mushrooms. And the buns..... yum!! Everything was and tasted fresh...... but hey, that's because it was! Thinking about coming again tomorrow. :) read more

Stopped in for lunch today. Very clean and spacious eating area with additional seating outside. Burger and Chicken sandwich were excellent. Great choice of Toppings. And additional sortment of sandwiches and sides On the menu. Staff very Friendly and expedient. Can't wait for a return visit. read more
