Such a great spot for authentic, flavorful dim sum at very reasonable prices (almost everything on the menu is under $10). I ordered the xiao long bao and chicken noodle soup, but the noodles were the standout for me. The broth was packed with flavor and the chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. The perfect comfort meal. Service was also very quick. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Westwood.

Decided to check this place out as it was near our hotel. It's a very small place with mostly outdoor seating. There are several screens on that wall which you can order your food. I actually really like this because you can see pictures of the food and take your time ordering. Since it was our first time here we took a long time to decide what we wanted. We decided on several different things. The lady was very nice when she brought out our food and quickly came out to clean the table after we were done. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. We liked it a lot. I would definitely come back and try other things.

Atrocious street parking + small takeout restaurant with some outside seating + friendly service. We got the har gow ($7), siu mai ($7), pork xlbs ($7), shrimp wonton with chili oil ($7), and chicken over rice noodles ($7). I thought the food was okay, would get it out of convenience.

Restaurant was quick, clean and staff were pleasant. We had several dishes and enjoyed them all. Our family enjoys dim sum carts, but this was good for a quick lunch. Good was fresh and hot. The chicken bao and soup dumplings were my personal favorites.

Actually so bomblicious. I have heard such great things about this dim sum place and was not disappointed. My friend and I ordered the pork and shrimp siu mai, shrimp wonton, char siu steamed baos, and the pork soup noodles. Was a little pricey, but I would say pretty standard for a dim sum place. I absolutely love how juicy and tender the filling was for the siu mai. The siu mai and shrimp wonton were also pretty sizable as well. My favorite dish that we ordered was definitely the char siu baos. The baos were SO NICE AND FLUFFY and the char siu was so soft and perfectly flavored. I'm always hesitant about bao fillings because sometimes the meat would be really fatty but the meat in these baos were so tender. The soup noodles were also pretty good as well. Lots of noodles actually, we were not able to finish all the noodles. I would say 3 to 4 items is a good size to share for two people. ALSO ALSO the workers were actually so sweet. They brought out our take out when or oder was ready which was really nice as we didn't have to go in to get our food.

This place feels like fast food Dim Sum. They had a pretty good selection and our food came out fast. The soup dumplings were pretty good and so we're the dumplings. Overall a good experience and pretty fast meal.

Only went in for a sweet treat. I seriously LOVE egg tarts and this place makes them perfectly. Also paid less than $7 for 3 of them which is such a great deal. It was a really quick interaction and the worker was sweet, she told me they make them fresh daily. I need to come back and try their actual food next time, I'm sure it's also great and authentic.

I was trying out various restaurants in westwood and came across this one, pretty small place but lots of outdoor seating, super nice for a quick bite and for pretty good prices too! it's mostly online order or kiosk-ran so not too much on customer service but the employees were friendly I got pickled cucumbers which are a little too vinegary and strong sesame oil flavors for my personal preference I really liked the har gow, their filling is really plump and juicy I also loved the pan fried turnip cake, there's a slight crisp of the fried outer layer and it's not too dense

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would My husband and I ate here after a walk around Westwood. We were hesitant at first because we were planning to have dinner elsewhere, but am so glad we decided to eat at ixlb instead! When you enter, there are about 4-5 kiosks to place your order. We went through the menu and decided on the wonton shrimp dumpling (fried), pan fried chicken dumpling, xiao long bao, street noodle special and sesame balls. Since we ordered for dine in, our order was brought out to us with complimentary water, chopsticks and soy sauce packets. And BOY were we more than satisfied! For me, the STAR of the show was the wonton shrimp dumplings, which were perfectly deep fried, bursting with quality shrimp, and dressed in the perfect dollop of chili oil. If you're a shrimp lover and in the mood for a slightly spicy and crispy dumpling, I would definitely recommend ordering this! My next favorite was the chicken dumplings which were juicy, flavorful and probably the heartiest chicken dumplings I have ever had - 10/10. And to round out my order, sesame balls for dessert! They we're HUGE and came out warm! And to my surprise, variety sesame balls with red bean and mooncake filings, which I thought was really cool since I don't get mixed sesame balls often. My husband ordered the noodles and xlb. I wasn't a fan of the xlb but the noodles were okay. We happily ate our meal in outdoor seating area, which consists of about 4 high tops of 4 and two low tops of 4 and 2. For about $6-$7 per plate, this was a definite steal, especially considering how full and happy we were afterwards. If you're in Westwood, or not!, and looking for some dim sum, you HAVE TO go to ixlb dim sum!

Love the setup of this restaurant! They have tablets ready to place your order and tables outside. No indoor dining. Veggie Dumplings - This was my favorite thing off of everything we ordered. The filling was so tasty, I wish I had ordered more! 10/10 Springs Rolls - Overall taste was good but maybe a little too heavy on the mushrooms. It was slightly on the greasier side too. 7/10 Chinese Broccoli - Big chunks of broccoli with thick stems. Wish there were more leafy bits but it tasted great and perfectly steamed! 8/10 Chow Mein - Probably won't order this one again. It tasted kinda bland and there were little veggies. 5/10 Our food came out timely and everything was so reasonably priced! They also have a ton of vegetarian/vegan options! Everything is pretty much available to customize too. Love!

How do you pronounce this business? 9LB? iXlb? Is it latin? Aztec? Taiwaztec? I don't know but I love it. Just visited this restaurant for the first time and left totally blown away. I ordered the Taiwanese cabbage, the vegetarian baos, and the steamed seafood pearls, and omg the food is so fresh. The steamed seafood pearls are the best: juicy and bouncy. The taste is beyond. The cabbage and the baos need a little dressing up with the sauce, but overall super fresh and healthy. I ordered to go and Jenny at the front was really nice in explaining the menu to me. Will definitely come back to try the fried dumplings and different baos. A++ recommend. One note: they do use a lot of plastic. I'm aware that a lot of the food is steamed and comes out super hot. Maybe there's a different type of serving set they could phase to in the future that is less harmful for the environment.

    Cha Siu Bao!

I enjoy coming here and it is always a vibe. It is so difficult to be selective when you are hungry, so I ordered a large selection to make sure that I would take home different choices. I ended up getting the Xiao Long Bao, Cha Siu Bao, Chicken Siu Mai, and a side of rice. The Xiao Long Bao consisted of 5 pieces of juicy pork dumplings where each had ground pork, ginger, garlic, scallion, and cabbage. There were 3 pieces for the Cha Siu Bao, which was a chopped BBQ honey roast pork bao. I also got the usual Chicken Siu Mai, which had 4 pieces filled with chicken ginger, and sweet corn covered by an egg wrap. It was all so warm and tasty and every time I come here, I am reminded of when we used to frequent similar spots when I was a child and when we would have these items here and there at family parties!

I went here for dim sum for the Lunar New Year and was not disappointed. It can be hard to find decent dim sum on the Westside, but this is a good spot! It's not traditional dim sum from the carts, but it gets the job done. You order at a counter and the food comes out pretty fast. There's lots of seating outside. I got an assortment of baked sausage buns, bao, siu mai, steamed egg custard bun, and char siu. Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed my meal here. Parking wasn't too challenging on the street in Westwood.

Old world service is sort of hybrid these days in that you can order dim sum standards from the checklist menu, and there will be servers coming by with kitchen specialities on trays (or you could order them directly from your server) and add anything from any of the 3 different main menus. A nod to old world service hierarchy which may not be clear to visitors: the ordering beverages and condiments, and general table requests and check out is from the gold vested servers. Red vests handle food to/from kitchen. Black vests and plain white shirts are management. Everyone will be attending to the entire floor, so if you're feeling neglected or need attendance, catch an eye and wave at a gold vest. When you call in orders, you'll speak with a black vest. Prices are higher than WK nearby but the quality here is higher and the selection is much wider. GD is also really good at mixing up menus, so you can have a great congee with preserved egg and youtiao (the stick donuts), a Singapore seafood noodle dish, a braised duck hot pot, and 20 different dim sum all at the same place and high quality throughout the meal. There's a paid parking lot next door, plus metered street parking. It's generally ADA accessible. Restrooms are waaay in the back of the restaurant. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth.
