The papaya salad ($12) is definitely a smaller salad. If you're hungry, it won't be enough. I liked the al dente green beans. The pad Thai ($15) is also a good portion for one. The chicken is tender and the flavor of the pad Thai noodles is delicious. I couldn't stop eating. Came with raw bean sprouts, carrots and purple cabbage. Definitely recommend and will order again. Hole in the wall Thai joint that's been open for only a year. Always passed by this place and finally got the chance to give it a try. For the price, 5/5. A great all-around spot to grab a quick bite or get your Thai fixings at night. Probably not a date spot. We got the papaya salad, fresh rolls w shrimp, pad see ew w chicken, and Chicken Khao Soi. Entree winner: Chicken Khao Soi. The curry was fantastic. The type you would dip bread in. I even used it as a sauce for my pad see ew. Appetizer winner: fresh rolls. I found my favorite Thai restaurant in Santa Monica! At first I was hesitant when I saw the pad Thai cause they don't use the regular wide noodles but that didn't matter at all cause the flavor blew me away. Authentic Thai spot that's off the beaten path. Came here with my fiancé on a Friday evening and we were to get seated after 5 minutes. Street parking available. Credit cards accepted. We had the chicken pho and the chicken khao soi. The pho was a good option for a lighter meal, but the khao soi was the star of the show for me. Here, it was more like wrapper around fresh, dry veggies and deep fried to crispy perfection. Absolutely loved it! My partner ordered the Tom Kha, which was delightfully sour and a large portion. I had the shrimp pad thai, with perfectly cooked fresh shrimp, sticky noodles and great flavor. When we got some boxes for leftovers, our server included some extra dipping sauce for the spring rolls. We also saw him provide great service to other tables. Everything we ordered was mediocre at best, there are much better thai options in LA. Chicken satay was overcooked, no flavor. Peanut sauce and cucumber salad also both were not good. Pad thai was the 'best' dish we ordered and the shrimp was good but there were hard pieces of tofu and the thin noodles seemed a bit overcooked. Maybe it would have been good on its own.. Panang curry was awful. Chicken was decent but the sauce was way too watery and had no flavor. It looks like they used a bunch of kids veggies and tossed them in too. Egg rolls were chewy and not crispy crust like other places do. Not a ton of flavor inside either. The flavor saves this rating as I do think the flavor is authentic and similar to other Pad see ew's I've had in the past. I just can't get over this portion! Ordered takeout from here a couple days ago. I got the pad thai lunch combo. Comes with a scoop of rice and one egg roll. Really delicious flavors, food came out in 15 minutes, relatively fast. The person taking my order was straight to the point and professional which was also much appreciated. I didn't finish my lunch so I had it the next day, cold, and it still tasted good. That's saying a lot in terms of the flavors. I do wish I asked for an extra lime to balance the salt, so if you order the pad thai consider asking for extra lime!
