This is located in the heart of Chinatown in Los Angeles. It was recommended by my Mom because it's their go-to lunch special place when she was working in DTLA. Parking can be challenging, but their is a spacious parking lot nearby. Outside may not appeal to you, but inside can accomodate to large parties. There were 11 of us and we filled up our table with different delicious dishes. All the food we ordered taste authentic and fresh. FOOD: Fried Shrimp Balls - 9.0 / 10 Up there with any Chinese restaurant's dim sum. Understandably smaller over the years. Pro-tip: heat these bad boys in the oven, toaster oven, or air fryer. Serve alongside sweet & sour sauce. Pork Shumai - 9.0 / 10 Again, up there with any of your typical sit-down dim sum place. Pro-tip: make an easy + quick sipping sauce with 1/3 soy sauce + 2/3 spiced white vinegar. You're welcome Shrimp Har gow - 8.9 / 10 One of the most traditional Cantonese dumplings. Incredibly light. If you plan to eat these later, I highly suggest steaming them as the outer skin can get dry. There's so, so much food here, but whenever I am in the area, these are my non negotiables. We did this as a pickup order while trying to hit two Chinatown spots at the same time. Well... "same time" meaning drive home and then eat both. So I always try not to hold that against a place because food is obviously best when you eat it there fresh. That said, the pan fried noodles were easily my favorite thing we ordered. Those held up the best and still had good texture by the time we got home. The chicken was good flavor-wise, but there was definitely more bone than chicken, especially on the legs. One cool thing though: when my partner went in to grab the order, they watched them carving the chicken fresh before packing it up. You definitely don't get that kind of thing ordering through Uber Eats. The soy sauce chicken (not pictured) was also solid, and honestly this is a great spot if you want food that'll stretch into leftovers for days. We probably got at least four more meals out of everything. Still... it didn't fully scratch that Chinese restaurant itch for me the way SGV spots do. But for the area? Got the beef cheung fen since it was BOGO on uber eats. What you would expect taste wise from a fast food chinese place. Crazy amounts of portions though, they filled that togo box to the brim. And they gave me two of those boxes, I had like 4 meals from it. If I ever just need carbs and calories, this would be a great spot for really cheap. The service is pretty good considering how busy it can get here but it's easy to flag someone down to get what you need. I was searching on doordash and saw this photo of the shumai, and immediately, I was excited i really like Siu Mai, so I went ahead and ordered, and it did not disappoint. My disappointment came in when I wanted to reorder, and for the past week, I have been craving this. And it was unavailable on DoorDash, and I've continued to attempt to contact them via the number located on their website to no avail sadly . It really has been grinding my gears. Because I have been craving their siu mai ever since my instill initial tasting of the dish is delicious & they are huge in size of what I'm used to for most places serving them. So this past weekend, I couldn't take it anymore & it kept saying online via goggle that it was open but temporarily unavailable on DoorDash. Therefore, I assumed that they were not taking orders or had not turned their tablet on to receive orders for DoorDash. Because sometimes businesses do that because they are inundated with orders in person. So I decided to take a drive downtown and go there. I saw a couple of people inside. But you could clearly see that they were closed when their hours state that they should be open. So I went up to the window and saw the people inside doing something reminding me of renovating their establishment. The chinese gentleman appeared to be doing something to the windows from the inside and gestured that they were closed. I take it that they don't speak much english. Based on my assumption, because they did not respond when I was asking, when they were going to be open. At that point I left and was disappointed, but I have since contacted them several times via phone and receive the same message that they have a voicemail that has not been set up yet. And it's still showing open on google. I have a suspicion that if they are renovating that they may not know when they are opening. However it's disappointing. Therefore I put a suggestion here that they are temporarily closed. And I hope not permanently. I gave five stars for the food, but as far as horrible communication I would absolutely need to give one star simply because they should communicate better as to their current state of being temporarily closed to avoid frustration because my frustration shows up at the pump. When it's time to get gas, because it is too expensive to be driving somewhere at $6+ a gallon for to NOT be serviced if the business is CLOSED and they should MODIFY their messaging on their voicemail service to reflect this As well. I found myself hangrily driving away and had to find a replacement dish that didn't quite hit, but was also well and good, tasty even at yang chow's just around the corner and ordered some slippery shrimp. It didn't quite hit the spot because when you're craving something you want, you won't truly be satisfied until you get that particular thing however it definitely hit the spot because yang chows, slippery shrimp is pretty good & has been a staple in the community of chinatown for years. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures to add to this review because I was so anxious to dig in and did just that. However, the pictures online. Do the dish justice? To be fair, they were pretty packed. The ambiance was pretty clean considering it is DTLA. Parking is $7 flat rate unless you get lucky to find a street parking. For a large lunch gathering, we ordered many dishes and split the cost equally. We had the following: squid with spicy salt, spicy eggplant with minced pork, bean curd with oyster sauce, kung pao chicken, sautéed cod filet with vegetables, pork chop with spicy salt, dry stir-fried string beans, Singapore rice noodles, glazed honey walnuts with prawns, French-style steak fillet, and white sugar sponge cake. There was also complimentary rice and jasmine tea. My favorite dishes were the bean curd with oyster sauce and Singapore rice noodles. The bean curd was nicely hot, but I wish the cubes were larger. I also liked how the rice noodles had a hint of peppery spice. The other dishes were solid, but I didn't try a few. For example, my table finished the pork chop with spicy salt the quickest. Portion sizes were adequate for me, but I wish there was slightly more given that our table included many people. In addition to our group, an even larger party of people dined in such that they filled up more than half of the restaurant. It can definitely be a popular gathering place for lunch at times. June 27, 2026 - I threw a 70th. Birthday party last night at ABC Seafood. Worked closely with our hostess Sophie on the 9course menu for 30 friends and family. We had Peking Duck, Ginger Crab, and steamed Rock Cod, and other delicious entrees. We even included 5 non-meat items to accommodate our vegetarian friends. Food was delicious, served hot, and everyone raved about the food and service. The only challenge is parking. So use the pay-to-park lot right next to their parking lot. Everything we ordered was served hot and was over the top tasty. My favorite was the seafood crispy noodle chow mein, very generous with their seafood and just enough crisp with the sauce. Thinking about it makes me want more. They have dim sum also but order from the menu style and not the carts. They also have a fast food type area with an entrance on the side of the restaurant with duck, soy sauce chicken, pork belly all sold by the pound, dim sum options and then entree combos. Ordered 3 dozen shumais day before over the phone. Came 15 minutes early and so they weren't ready yet. Added in another dozen and waited 15 minutes. 4 dozen cost me $55 and some change. Never had a bad dish here. They have several favorite dishes for me, so it's best to bring a group of people and have family style and share in the variety. This is a review for the dining room. Son and I went here with his friends and their parents and it was our first time. I had been to Ocean Seafood where they have carts, but this worked as well. We were a large party, but service was not slow, it was good. Ambiance simple, nothing fancy, but the best thing is the Lazy Susan style round table. It was really fun. All the dishes we had were good, but my favorites were the Singaporean noodles, chow fun, broccoli and beef, garlic green beans, and the taro pancakes. I look forward to going again. read more

Parking is easy to find in the area. I believe the minimum for credit card without fee is $15.00 otherwise there is a small fee to use credit card. They also have fresh dim sum, limited pastries and a full char siu bbq selection area with ducks porks chicken etc. I've been coming since 2018 and it has always been consistent fast fresh easy choice for food. If you are in the LA Chinatown area, you need to come to this restaurant. We found this restaurant by accident. Actually we were in their "take out" restaurant next door that sold take out food and dim sum. However we wanted a place to be able to sit down to eat our food. So we ventured next door and food the sit down restaurant with the full Chinese menu. Because we were there during lunch, we were able to take advantage of their lunch menu. The prices were fantastic and the portion of food was generous. The restaurant was busy during the time we were there. Three waitress was serving the entire restaurant and they were fast and efficient. The food was delicious and I put away more rice than I normally would. The only complain we have is the food served took a little longer, but than there was 3 tables of patrons that was probably doing there Christmas party there. Oh and we found out later there is a small parking lot that patrons can park while dining at the restaurant. read more
