Super friendly service with tasty food, at an affordable price. Enjoyed the crispy pan fried noodles and the green beans were pretty fresh. Also enjoyed the free parking lot (tiny, but empty on a weekday lunch) and the fact that the restaurant is pretty spacious and tables are far enough apart.

After a downtown LA walking tour we went to Broadway Cuisine. It was Sunday afternoon around 1pm so it wasn't busy and we immediately seated. Large menu but read that the fish with black bean was good so ordered that along with king pao chow mein, shu mai and har gow. Everything was delicious with lots of flavor. Good size portions and reasonable prices.

As Yang Chow devotees, we needed to be real when going to Chinatown on New Year's Parade day. We trialed Broadway Cuisine for its ease of success despite crowds. It's a large venue with a lot of tables, both private rooms and open floor. The staff were very courteous and efficient. They had a very extensive menu and we ordered a large array of items. My family and I greatly enjoyed the entire experience. The special steak and Chinese vegetables was a true standout as was the bbq honey pork chops. Great place and easy to eat on the go!

The guy who invented Chow Fun had some fun designing the traffic patterns in Chinatown which is best described as a mish mash of smashed fender benders. Fortunately, if you figure out where and why Waze wants you to go where and when, there it is, a large free parking lot that the restaurant owns. My favorite dish is served...Free Fo Me. Enter into the huge dining room as brightly lit as an Urgent Care with all the charm of an industrial laundry. However, the room is spotlessly clean and so big you'll hardly notice the two Aunties shelling two huge tubs of Peas like Automatons. Shelling an Everest of Peas was the best way to keep warm as the dining room is cold enough to cure a Peking Duck. In all fairness, you'll warm up like a swaddled Baby as soon as you begin to chow down. While you settle in you can take a silent cooking class from the overhead Flat Screen. Orange Chicken...check. The salient feature of Broadway Cuisine is that you can show, eat and go and still make the Laker game with ease. Order and the dishes start to arrive as fast as you can pour some complimentary Tea. Nothing comes from a 55 gallon drum under a heat lamp. It's all made to order. That eliminates takeaway troubles like searching for the missing piece of to go Moo Shu Pork lurking in the toe kick in your overpriced apartment cramped kitchen. The Staff: "Boss" was amusing, efficient and the Boss with the Hot Sauce. She immediately appeared with arm loads of whatever I asked for. Who doesn't appreciate that? Who goes there? At 4:30 PM on a Tuesday...just me. There were more Servers than Patrons, and there were only two Servers...serving just me. The Food: You could blind fold a Chimp and let him poke the menu in five places and you're sure to dine well with his choices. A comprehensive menu offers all the Cantonese usual suspects all done well as the Kitchen has had plenty of experience cooking these dishes for years. Everything is prepared to order from the simple and mundane (Vegetable Egg Rolls) to more complex fare. (Three Delicacies Kung Pao). Each plate is piled high enough warrant requesting pitons, oxygen bottles and 200 feet of Nylon rope. The Vegetables Egg Rolls were encased in deep fried Wonton Wrappers. These Rolls were as crunchy as Egg Shells and deliciously creamy inside. Each Roll was at least half the size of Fidel Castro's Splendido Cigar and still substantial. Definitely a great way to begin your meal. Next up was The Three Delicacies Kung Pao which included lovely tender, juicy Shrimp, curls of Soy braised Filet Mignon, and Chimp foot sized Fish Filets along with Bell Peppers, Onions and plenty of Dried Chili Peppers. It wasn't as much spicy hot as it was tangy. Time to order some Brown Rice so you can convince yourself you really are eating healthy, and you actually are despite the fact that it's just you eating for two. The Fish Filets in Bean Sauce cried out for those little thin Pancakes that come with the Moo Shu Pork or at least perhaps a Flour Tortilla. Instead I shoveled it in like a robotic arm in a car assembly plant. The highlight was their version of Singapore Fried Vermicelli. It was a pile of tangled pasta with toothsome Shrimp, Juicy BBQ'd Pork, Bell Peppers, Onions, Scrambled Eggs and lot's of S & B Japanese Curry Powder. The Noodles were dry fried and mixed with everything while each component maintained it's integrity. This dish was perfect to eat there or box up and take home to mix with two runny sunny side up Eggs the next morning. Broadway Cuisine turned out to be a cookin' machine.

Came here on a Tuesday and the outside seems a little sketch, but it's a gem hole in the wall restaurant. There's a sign that states parking on the side of the restaurant, but I didn't see it so I parked at a near lot ($10) When we walked in, we were greeting by a sweet lady who sat us immediately. Ordered alot of food, keep in mind that the portions are big and you can share a plate with 2-3 people. We had alot of left overs. I loved how their honey walnut shrimp had pineapple in it, very unique. I would come here again and grab some food to take to a dodger game!

Overall the food was good. We visited a Thursday afternoon and pretty much empty. My only complain was that when we I was paying the elder lady was very insistent on wanting a 20%ish tip and kept pointing at the highest tip rate. She was upset when I filled in 15% rather than the one she wanted me to circle.

Love love this restaurant! I can count on this resturaunt for consistently good & authentic quality Cantonese seafood dishes! Recommend the fish stomach soup, black pepper beef stir fry with green beans, steamed fish and white chicken. Food will come out very fast, ofc there's hot tea that's complementary. Props to the hardworking chef! I've come here at least 4 times now and hope to come back more! Service is fantastic and clean and comfortable interior. Located in a cool area where you can shop around or do touristy things in Chinatown :)

Classic Chinese food. Everything was so yummy and service was fast. Perfect place for family dinners and good portions to do family style. I heard they donated a lot of meals to elder during covid so I love to support small businesses that give back! Definitely recommend this place if you're in Chinatown and looking for good Chinese food!

Stopped in on a late afternoon on a Sunday. The place wasn't busy and we were seated right away. It's pretty much your typical Chinese restaurant. For me, this has almost become synonymous with Diet Coke by the can. Everything was clean, although a little worn. The table clothes were laid on top of each other so all the needed to do to set the table is rip the dirty one off and a clean one is right there underneath! One area they get bonus points for is most dishes that are hot can be made without the hot spices. Therefore, I enjoyed my orange chicken. Service was also as expected, short, and curt, and we had to remind them to bring my Diet Coke (in a can). The food arrived super fast which we liked because we were hungry. Honestly, I would come back here if I was in the area.

This place brings me back to the Chinatown of my youth - in a good way! Extensive menu with a good weekday lunch special, and many of the dishes I like. Tried the mushu pork, which I haven't had in years, and it was very satisfying. Just wish it came with more wraps. The kung pau chicken had a lot of chicken and the fish with black bean sauce had large pieces of really good fish. I like these two dishes a little better at our local Chinese place, but that's just a matter of preference for more spiciness. The steamed chicken was really tender with a light but tasty sauce. Service was good and the teapot was kept filled. I want to come back and try some of the other things that I haven't had in a while. Looking forward to it.

Chinatown isn't what it used to be, but there's still a few places that still serve good ole Cantonese style food. A decent amount of free parking for customers can be found along the side and back. Interior is clean and looks recently remodeled. Good service and workers are attentive and helpful. All dishes came out quickly and hot. We ordered several items, and each one was delicious. I haven't had moo shu pork in years and it brought back a lot of good memories. The food here is good and authentic. If you're ever in the Chinatown area and want solid Cantonese food, this place is worth trying.

Came here on a Monday around 8 pm. Luckily we got a free meter right outside. The inside wasn't busy, only a few parties compared to the large grand space they had. The inside is bright with tall ceilings, carpeted floor, large round tables with lazy Susan's for groups and big comfy booths lining the walls. The women working were friendly and efficient. One spoke a bit of mandarin with me. The group ordered mostly American Chinese dishes that they enjoyed and nearly finished. I ordered xiao long bao for the table and they were pretty good for the price. They were piping hot and juicy. Hot tea was complimentary but their Thai tea also slaps! Would come again and try more things. Probably one of the better xiaolongbao and other dumpling deals in the area.

But what happened today was handled so poorly that I feel compelled to share it. I have been a regular customer here for quite some time and have always spoken very highly of this place. I have brought many friends here and even celebrated my birthday at Loreto, which is the dinner concept they operate in the same location at night. I usually come here for lunch because the food is normally very good and it has been one of my favorite spots. Today was a complete disaster. I ordered two Tostadas Bonito and waited more than 50 minutes for them. After about 30 minutes I flagged the delay to the bartender/cashier because that is very unusual for this place. While waiting, I watched other customers receive the exact same dish even though they had arrived and ordered after me. When I asked about it, the bartender said he was only responsible for taking orders and was not sure why it was taking so long, but that the kitchen would work on it and bring the food to my table. After another 20 minutes I spoke with a server who said he would check on it. He later returned and said the manager would come talk to me. No refund or real solution was offered. The manager eventually came to the table, apologized, and said this should never have happened. She told me twice that she would bring me her card and contact information so she could take care of me the next time I came in. She even mentioned she remembered me from previous visits since I am a regular. She never came back. Eventually I left the restaurant and saw her sitting inside. She never bothered to return to the table or follow through on what she said. The situation was simply left unresolved. To make matters worse, we ordered two mezcal margaritas expecting to have them with our food, which took more than 50 minutes. Both drinks were served less than half full in the glass and still charged $19 each. I have ordered this same drink there many times before and the glass is normally almost full. When I mentioned it to the bartender who served them, he just smiled. I am attaching photos of the drinks exactly as they were served, without even having taken a sip. What is most disappointing is not only the wait, but how badly the situation was handled. No accountability, no effort to resolve the problem, and a manager who promised to follow up and simply never returned. For a place I have supported for years, recommended to many people, and celebrated special occasions at, this was honestly shocking. Sadly, after this experience, I will not be coming back and will not recommend it to anyone. I will also be letting friends who became regulars because of my recommendation know how this situation was handled.

I came by on a rainy Saturday to grab some food to go and was actually the only customer at the time. I ordered the aguachiles, mango shrimp ceviche, two shrimp tacos, and one fried fish taco. The fried fish taco was a bit over battered and tasted overcooked. Everything was edible, but it didn't give me that "I want to come back" feeling. I mainly came for the ceviche and aguachiles and those were the most disappointing parts of the meal. Maybe I just didn't order the right items, but this visit didn't really win me over.

I thought the service was pretty on point and they would always come around to check on us and always come over to fill our water and wine when it was empty. We ordered the special of the day steak, charred cabbage, head on prawns, starter(all four) with olives, cheese, cured meats and bread, calamari toast, and fritters and another bread dish to dip it into the prawns sauce. I would say that the fritters were a bit disappointing, it really could use an aioli sauce to go with it to really enhance this dish. It was just missing something and I think an aioli sauce could really help. My personal favorite was the calamari toast. Something about the way they cooked the calamari was really good on the taste and the how tender it was to eat. The toast soaked it in all the sauce too and I just really loved this dish. The head on prawns had a good sauce to go along with it and as recommended by the waiter that it is nice to eat bread with their sauce. Prawns were good as well. Surprisingly my 2nd favorite dish was their charred cabbage. It doesn't actually sound that special but the beans and the cabbage were really nice. I just think you have to try it as I can't even describe why it was so good to me haha. The special of the day steak was pretty good as well. If I have to complain, it be nice if they asked us how we would like it to be cooked because it did feel like it was a bit well done on our end but taste wise we thought it was good. The dessert: Didn't care for the Portuguese egg tart all but there's a very high standard for the egg tart but I did really enjoy my passion fruit sorbet that they provided and it was a huge scoop. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back and really did enjoy my time here.

Dried bread and dipping sauces were brought while we perused the menu. Our food came quick. First was the chicken soup we ordered as an appetizer. It was delicious! Warning - the red salsa side dish is super hot. We tested it first, added a small splash, and loved it. Next was a sliced beef and marinated onion sandwich. It was well filled and really tasty, our favorite of the night. The green salsa that comes with it is a perfect compliment - savory and spicy like a molé, but not too hot. We will order this again. Then came the beef heart, not a dish for everyone, but a personal favorite. Seasoned with a great dry rub and cooked on wood skewers, it was on par with the best yakitori I have ever had. What made it even better, however, were the sides. The hominy was perfectly chewy and seasoned. Mixed with the green salad, the potato chunks, and some of the green and white dipping sauces, well, it was an excellent compliment to the dense beefiness of the roasted heart chunks. OTOH, the salsa that comes with the beef heart, while full of chopped scallions and such, was far too sour for my taste. It was like pure lime juice. I tasted it and set it aside, only adding a few bits into my mix of sides. The final nice touch was the price. Total for three dishes was $40 before tax and tip. We will be back. The closest public parking lot is a couple blocks to the north, but we found a metered spot right out front.
