    Gel Nails

A nice Salon where you can do your Gel Nails and Pedi. They also offer many other varieties of nail jobs. The owner is Joy and she clearly knows what she's doing. However, you'll need to ask for the cuticle removal if you want them to be done as that is an option. Otherwise I recommend this place.

Here's the work of Ivy top nails This is what $40 gets you. My daughters had both got pedicures Done here today. When my daughter asked for a refund a partial refund the owner Tina of this shit hole She replied very rudely no refunds and didn't even acknowledge or look up. She told us to come back at three which we did and when we returned she told us she's calling 911 on us. So she proceeded to call 911 and we waited for the officers outside. The officers replied that she has done this in the past. I think the police have bigger and better things to attend than something so petty. The owner of this company should be ashamed of herself if this is how she runs her business. Whatever happened to the customer is always right. Not to mention this place is just absolutely filthy and dirty.

I went in for a basic gel manicure. When removing the old gel from my last manicure ( done elsewhere) The nail tech used a cuticle pusher to scrape off my half soaked off gels. (Uncomfortable)..Then continued to clip my cuticles, I left with 3 bleeding fingers ( no exaggeration).she also filed a side of 1 finger till it bled. 6 hours later my fingers are still sore. I wouldn't go back here for free.

Rude and extremely disrespectful to my 85 year old mother. I will never go back.

When I sat down for a spa pedicure, water was cold at first, therefore the manager/owner got up from her station to check on it and to make sure I had warm water for my pedicure...

Do you even get the length or shape of my nails the way I want them, another lady I was in there had to come back and get her nails repainted because the girl that was doing my nails messed up on her nails.

So I awkwardly asked her to do it and she half assed it for about 2 mins. As I've said in my other reviews, I get pedicures mainly for the massage. I am always on my feet waitressing/bartending as my second job. I need to relax and someone to work on my extremely sore feet. I usually don't do this, but being that I was paying A LOT for this pedicure, I went to the manager and spoke to him and he sincerely apologized, he told me to ask for him next time and he will take better care of me. He said this isn't the first complaint he's gotten about the girl. I wish he would've at least taken a little off but it's whatever. Now I've been back a few times and I have never left disappointed. I haven't seen that girl since. They are a little more pricey than most, but overall do a good job. Place is very clean and all of the nail technicians are nice! I love the way they do gel manicures. They shape the nail nicely and take their time. Make sure to make an appointment though. They seem to get quite busy!! (I still don't agree that any of the products they use for the "upgrade pedicures" is worth it. If you look up the brand and type of spa you're getting you will be absolutely shocked to see how much they pay for it, it's disgustingly cheap)

On the other hand, cutting out that hour and a half drive to get to her (I'd catch up with a bulk of other errands while I'm at it) gives me some serious time and energy while I'm closer to home. Plus not having her around ;-( gave me a chance to branch out and look for a nail salon in Kingston. A bunch of the low Yelp ratings I saw for other nail salons elsewhere had huge red flags: bad technique, rushed jobs, or even unsanitary tools. The way I see it, when it comes to personal care like nails, you definitely want to see high ratings and consistent praise. I mean, don't you? While Pretty X only has one review, that was enough to bring me here. I honestly came here on a whim. Pretty Xo is dreamy, soft, welcoming and clean. The space has a minimalist-chic feel with their airy, beige walls, flooring is done in blonde wood planks and faux florals adding a touch of color. I started with Lily for my manicure who was super gentle, which I really appreciated. Then Yan took over for my pedicure. She wasn't so frilly- but definitely not rough- just the right amount of strength and attention for my legs. She took her time, especially with trimming and from there, it was all uphill. It's not only about aesthetics (though it's important to me)- it's also about hygiene, safety, and someone working up close and personal on your hands and feet. The $63 price tag is a bit more than what I used to spend, but honestly, it was worth it for the serene and relaxing atmosphere.
