I remember coming to this nail salon for a pedicure mainly because it was the closest option to me at the time. The technician rushed through the entire pedicure, cut my nails way too short even though I clearly told him not to, and the overall service felt careless. While he did spend time on the leg and foot massage, it was extremely aggressive and uncomfortable rather than relaxing. When it was finally over, I was shocked to be charged $100 for a pedicure without tip. I've paid $50 or $60 at most for a gel pedicure at other salons and for much better service, so the price here was not worth the experience at all. read more

Be forewarned! The worst manicure I have ever had. Not only did the manicurist make me bleed when she cut my cuticles, she didn't even apologize when she did it! She also used an electric file on the tops of my perfect nails when I was just having a regular manicure. I have never had gels and my nail beds were always pink and in excellent shape. Now they have white marks on four of my nails on my left hand and they show through with clear polish, which is what I usually wear. I would never recommend this place and can't fathom why anyone would go to anyplace that would have such an inexperienced manicurist working for them. Last night I went to get a fill. I have not been to ivy top in a year or so. I use to go often but stopped since my nails would break or chip just a day or two after getting them done , a few times even the same day of service. Jump forward a year I go to get a fill since my nail lady I drive to 30 minutes away was not in so I said let me go local to get a fill its just a fill no big deal. The lady that runs the place tells me to sit in seat 9 . I do , the desk has the nail techs garbage from her lunch thrown all over it. However she is helping someone else with another service . ( but not respectful of the woman who runs the show to sit me there and walk away after seeing what she was sitting me in. That's not even why I'm here writing a review but I should have seen where this was going. My nail tech finally came over. She starts . She is shaking so much I was like to myself oh no how is she going to do this without a steady hand. sure enough I can't even tell you how many times the nail drill went off my nail and into my skin. Painful but I tried to be positive in my head that it was going to work out. We get to the point when you wash your hands which is good because I'm literally bleeding from all the little cuts from her drill. I notice before I go wash my hands my corners of my nails are still sharp and I did ask at the bring please round the corners since I have a newborn I don't want to scratch her. She kindly says o okay .and files them again but then sprays my hands with nail polish or alcohol I'm assuming was in the spray bottle. I was like o okay for the cuts. but no , when I said okay I'll go wash my hands now she said no I sprayed your nails for clean washing my hands would take too long now . I'm guessing because I had her file a request I had made at the being of service. I kindly said no big deal while you get the polish I will wash my hands. -polish was layered so thick -the thick polish was all over my nail beds and even on my finger tips on the other side of my hand that she then grabbed a nail file and filed my actual skin to get it off I was shocked! - she layered on polish on my thumb over and over again i didn't know why until I left. a small bristle from her brush was on my nail and she was trying to cover it up with polish rather then removing it. - every nail on the right hand was missing polish on the sides that she had to redo. The experience was terrible . I go pay and just get out of there. She tells me $45. The sign says $35 , they are charging me $10 for the polish. when I questioned it , it's because I have gel which is fine I go to a salon that chargers $5 to cut down your nails but it's clearly stated on the price sheet . However no where on ivy tops price sheet does it state a gel fill different for a fill. Another customer there said she had to question it the last time too. Whatever happy to pay it but the experience and services was just upsetting. If a charge can be placed without clearly stating the correct service then I should have charged for $5 for every time that nail drive went off my nail and cut my nail beds . My fill would have been free! read more

I have been a customer for many years. In fact, when friends ask me what I would like as a gift, I suggest Ivy Top. I just returned from my first visit there since the pandemic started. I had 2 gift certificates totaling $248. They accepted one for my current visit, but told me the balance would not be honored ($203) since it was over a year old. I explained that I could not use it until I received my Covid vaccine. (I am over 70 years old.) They did not care and did not factor in the pandemic as an extenuating circumstance. I made it clear they have just lost a long time customer. (After reading some of the other reviews, it is clear they are not concerned about customer loyalty.) I recommend other establishments that value long time customers. read more

A nice Salon where you can do your Gel Nails and Pedi. They also offer many other varieties of nail jobs. The owner is Joy and she clearly knows what she's doing. However, you'll need to ask for the cuticle removal if you want them to be done as that is an option. Otherwise I recommend this place. read more

When my daughter asked for a refund a partial refund the owner Tina of this shit hole She replied very rudely no refunds and didn't even acknowledge or look up. She told us to come back at three which we did and when we returned she told us she's calling 911 on us. So she proceeded to call 911 and we waited for the officers outside. The officers replied that she has done this in the past. I think the police have bigger and better things to attend than something so petty. The owner of this company should be ashamed of herself if this is how she runs her business. Whatever happened to the customer is always right. Not to mention this place is just absolutely filthy and dirty. read more

Came here to get my acrylics taken off and a dip powder manicure. I didn't even make it to get the dip manicure. When getting my acrylics taken off, the worker tina just started by cutting off the tips with cuticle cutters, and then preceded to just RIP OFF my entire acrylic nail. She didn't file, drill or even SOAK my nails. Just completely started ripping them off. It hurt so bad and my nails were in excruciating pain. After that, I simply paid, mind you it was $15 to just have my nails ripped off, and I left. I will never be going back here. If I wanted to just have my nails completely ripped off of my nail bed, I could have stayed at home. It was so ridiculous and I couldn't believe a nail salon would do that, knowing how damaging it is to you nails. Absolutely horrible. They have lost a loyal customer. read more

The first time I walked in was last week. Very clean, all covid precautions are being taken... temperatures, every other seat is occupied. Women are very friendly. Now here is the but!!!! 45.00 dollars for gel manicure fill in, 5 dollars for coffin shape and additional 5 dollars for mood polish. I understand every charge but the coffin shape. Didn't argue. I went in for a basic gel manicure. When removing the old gel from my last manicure ( done elsewhere) The nail tech used a cuticle pusher to scrape off my half soaked off gels. (Uncomfortable)..Then continued to clip my cuticles, I left with 3 bleeding fingers ( no exaggeration).she also filed a side of 1 finger till it bled. 6 hours later my fingers are still sore. DO NOT GO HERE. I went here to get my legs waxed- what a horrible and painful experience. First, she walks in the room ON FACETIME to start waxing thinking she's doing my brows. Poor communication on their part- I stated multiple times what I wanted don'e. She did not prep my skin nor use gloves and was blowing on the stick with wax- SUPER unsanitary. The woman worked in about one inch increments, applying the wax in the wrong direction, pulling slowly, not holding my skin tight and missed the whole front of my right shin. When I left I had chunks of wax all over my legs and my feet from her just wiping baby oil on me briefly. Then I was charged $10 extra for her getting my bikini line, which I kept telling her "no". Completely ignored. I have gotten acrylics here, dip powder, pedicures.. everything I've seen them they do is 100% unsanitary. The setup in the wax room is horrid. I didn't expect much since I've had only bad experiences before, but I didn't expect it to be so bad and I was pinch so I had to settle. On top of this, everyone is entirely unprofessional and flat out rude. Oh! and they don't allow appointments unless you're a long time customer ( in my opinion-surprised they have any). read more

Tried this place out for the first time and I felt like I was in a factory being churned out as fast as could be. I should have taken my gut instinct to leave when I walked in. I waited for 40 minutes to get my nails done, they put me in a chair after 30 waited another 15 all while the time to actually do my nails was probably 10 minutes. My gel manicure is very clumpy and uneven and the lengths and shapes of my nails are inconsistent. Also cut my cuticles so deep and forcefully that I started to bleed, her response was a snarky "Sorryyy". When I sat down for a spa pedicure, water was cold at first, therefore the manager/owner got up from her station to check on it and to make sure I had warm water for my pedicure...definitely awesome customer service. I went for my 6:30pm appointment for a fill with the owner, Tina. I was sat at her station by 6:35pm and I was done by 6:55pm. I go to Tina because she normally does amazing work. Today she rushed through my manicure and I left with uneven nails, untouched cuticles minus the portion she cut after my manicure was complete and therefore made me bleed. When I asked her to rectify the situation and fix my nails another day (as I didn't want my nails filed after I was already bleeding) she told me I "should have said something right away". I have been to this salon a few times and each time something has gone wrong and I was disappointed- but this last time was the last straw for me. The woman who did my manicure and pedicure hardly even looked at my nails as she did them. She was so aggressive and vigorous while clipping and filing that she sliced my pinky finger open and it would not stop bleeding. When she tried to put some strange liquid on the wound I drew my hand back to ask what it was and she continued to put it on me despite me saying no. I work in healthcare and a laceration on my hand is a portal for infection which is exactly what happened- the wound became red and swollen and very painful within 24 hours. They took $10 off my bill ($105) but said it was not because they hurt me but rather because they used gel polish instead of powder like I had asked for and basically conned me into getting a more expensive service. My nails turned out terrible and sloppy and bulky and just honestly awful. This is actually the first time I have ever written a review for any company ever- that's how terrible my experience was. I felt the need to share this with others because nail salons are a dime a dozen so please do not waste your time at this dirty, disrespectful, money grubbing establishment.
