I feel that every time I come in to get my eye brows threaded the only person that does the threading which is Leila the owner is always to important to high on her high horse to care and listen to what I want and how I want it. I mean I am a paying customer right? Leila is always very quick to attack my eye brows and starts threading them almost immediately as soon as I lay down. She never allowing me( the customer) to express what I came in for and what I want. Its like she is to busy and to important to care. She gives me the vibe that she is doing me a favor by being available which I find it to be very rude and unprofessional. It's obvious that she knows that she is the only person in State College to offer threading which I guess boosts up her ego. She knows that her service is of value to all of us that look and seek for threading service which makes her nasty when it comes to hearing a customer out. So basically, every time I go in because obviously I have to since she is the only one here in State and I refused to get my brows wax and there is so much I can do by my self; i come out looking crazy with super thin eye browns that look just like hers?!? yuk. I've tried hairstylists at both ends of the price spectrum and have ended up feeling disappointed. Jess started with a consultation and then washed my hair in preparation for my cut. Can you believe I went to a pricier place in town and they skipped this step?! Sheesh, it's like part of the whole haircutting experience. (I'm sure there is a technical reason for this step too.) My hair was cut in about 20-25 mins. and she spent about another 15 mins. styling it for me. I thought she did an excellent job and appreciated that she listened to my concerns about using the razor (scissors). All in all, I got a great cut at a reasonable price ($40) and time! Although Jess seems young, she is confident and skilled. I noticed that she was very meticulous about how she did everything. That made me feel like she cared about her work and has high standards. By the way, they just started a new referral program where you and a new client referral can each get 15% your next haircut with the same stylist. Ask about the referral card when you go or check around to see if any of your friends have one to give you. There is a parking lot and the decor was very nice with a day spa feel. Now if only they offered massage services there too....
