Management and office personnel are snobby and out for $! They are so short handed the residents suffer for that. I was transitioned to Villaspring after I shattered my hip and had a hip replacement (this was…read moreimmediately following a stroke with hospital stay and rehab). Most of the staff was very apathetic (especially the night staff). I was almost given the wrong medication a few times. Fortunately for me, I know my medication very well. I have severe anxiety. My panic attacks were commonly ignored. One night, I cried and borderline screamed the entire night (I didn't sleep). The nurse ignored me, even though she could have talked me down or given me a Xanax, which I am prescribed. It was my first night there, and I was scared. I went to a different rehab facility (Encompass) after my stroke, and had very few panic attacks. The staff was always able to talk me down. Some nights, I waited as long as an hour to use the restroom. I had alarms on my bed (pretty standard). I eventually started setting off my alarm after 20 minutes, so the staff would come in and I could use the restroom. I am not a difficult patient. I never had problems like these anywhere else (hospital, other rehab). Don't send your family or yourself here! It was terrible.
