Atalie is the best! She knows i like my hair length and never pressures me to cut more hair than I would like.

Linh is a great hairstylist! I've been going to her for the past few years, and I drive to her all…read morethe way from the OC. Yes, one hour there and another hour back, every 2 to 3 months. Am I vain? Check. Am I a perfectionist? Check. All to say that as particular as I can be, Linh's cuts meet all my expectations. She has an eye. My hair carries shape, style, perfect weight and cut, even as it grows out and before I can get to her again. And I can not tell you how many times I've been stopped by people on the street or airports asking where I get my hair cut. Thank you Linh!

Really awkward experience. I wasn't sure if I would send in a rating/ review but after sleeping on…read moreit I figured I should. Entered into the salon and even though the stylist was right there at the door she did not greet me or check me in. Assistant shampooed me while the stylist smoked, but it was the worst shampoo I've ever experienced. My hair didn't even fully get into the bowl and she didn't fully get my hair wet all the way. When we returned to the chair I could see that my roots were mostly dry. Then the stylist came in and did an okay consult with me, cut my hair a bit and started to dry my hair. This portion was okay but once she was finishing up it became clear that she was not even going to attempt to replicate the inspo picture I showed her. Just felt like I was rushed out, and process overall was awkward and uncomfortable. edit: how fun for me for the owner to chastise me for my opinion of my experience and discuss my personal information for anyone to see online. I am a private citizen, not a business to be reviewed. If you wanted to actually follow up with me and were genuinely concerned about my experience you absolutely could have called or texted me. You made it painfully obvious you know exactly who I am even though I never met you. I absolutely support stylists taking a scheduled break, but she couldn't take two seconds to tell me that herself? It's a small thing but it's customer service. No one asked me if I wanted a drink or needed anything. And It was NEVER discussed with me that they could not attempt to STYLE my hair the way it was in the picture. Which was a basic 90s blow out and what I got was an 00s straightened look. The front of my hair is NOT 'significantly' shorter than the rest of my hair and is maybe 2 inches shorter than my inspo pic overall. Sure the cut wouldn't be the same but close because as you mentioned for some reason, I've dealt with hair loss. What an awful way to respond to a genuine review about my lived experience. And how dare you bring my personal information into it. I didn't use the stylists name or identifying information. If customers have issues with your business will you continue to put their personal information for everyone to see? People talk to stylists about private information all the time, seems like this salon isn't a safe place to do that though. Do better Mr Owner.

I tried this place out yesterday, for the first time. I have tried several places in San Marcos,…read moreEscondido and Fallbrook and just hadn't found my person yet. I told Kim what I wanted and I couldn't be more happy with the results! I had awful Covid hair and had been lightening it with grocery store color( for the first time in my life, but hey - Covid ‍). I mentioned I wanted high lights and low lights and some color corrections. Kim is a genius with hair! She fixed the brassiness and the regrowth. I'm very glad I chose this place and her! I'll be back!

Sorry Leesa, I've found Nikki at The Edge, and she is a fabulous hairdresser!…read more I initially decided to try The Edge because it's so close to our new home that I could easily walk there for my appointment. I did a search here on Yelp and found Kate D.'s raving review, and that settled it. I called for an appointment. The extremely friendly woman who assisted me on the phone was surprised to learn that people were talking online about her shop. I read Kate's review to her and she was just tickled. I knew instantly this salon had the kind of personality I'd just love. Nikki greeted me when I walked in, and I was instantly at ease with her. We talked like old friends. I've long believed that a good hair dresser needed three skills - the artistic, the technical and the social skills to keep somebody comfortable sitting still in a chair. Nikki has all the above in enormous measure! She's just great. I showed her a picture I'd printed of what I was after with my hair. She delivered the style I asked for perfectly, and she didn't twist my arm to buy pomade, sprays or mousse. Now Leesa, if you're reading this - I'm not saying you do that either... but some hair dressers do, and I appreciated the fact that Nikki didn't. I was a little surprised that the salon does not accept credit cards. It was no problem, though, because I was right next door to the 7-Eleven where an ATM patiently awaited me. My cut was extremely reasonable in price ($44) and I didn't have to drive a long way on 78 in ungodly traffic to have 25 minutes of relaxation and a great cut. So Leesa -- I'm sorry Sweetie. I love the skill and the talent you have, but I'm sticking with Nikki at The Edge. The Edge. Yeah. Highly recommended!
