By far the best eCig shop I've found in the city…read more First of all, I should tell you about the people: These eCigs aren't all that complicated, but when you don't have a clue at what your looking at, the options and terminology can get a bit overwhelming. This is where the folks at Hot Vapes shine -- they are awesome. Unlike other shops I'd been to, everyone here was amazingly helpful, patient, and didn't make me feel like an idiot because I didn't have a graduate degree in electrical engineering. They walked me through all the options, from the basic kits on up to the advanced stuff. They explained the differences and didn't try to "up-sell" me to the expensive equipment -- instead, they helped me find the device that fit me best. Next, there's the equipment: They have most everything you'd want -- from super basic stuff, to the the advanced, and everything in between. I ended up falling somewhere in the middle and picked up an iTaste SVD ... It's easy to use, lets you customize power settings to adjust the vapor levels and taste, and is really durable. It also holds a couple different types of rechargeable batteries -- I use a large one for when I'm at work which lasts a day or two between charges, and a smaller one when I'm heading out for the night and want something a bit more discreet. Finally, there's the "Juice" or eLiquid: THEY HAVE THEIR OWN LAB! They have somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 different flavors to choose from, a tasting station where you can try them all, and are great at helping you find something you'll like. They make everything to order, so you may have to wait 5-10 minutes, but it's well worth the wait. You can also ask them to "customize" the flavors a bit if you want. For people trying to find a replacement for a "real" cigarette, they have the only liquid I've found that actually gives you the taste of an actual cigarette -- not just a tobacco leaf flavor, but something that comes amazingly close to the burning paper and tobacco taste you'd get from the real deal. It's called... get this: ILLUSION. So, on to the con: They have a sign, but it's on the inside and only visible if you're looking through their front window. On my first attempt to find them, I gave up. On my second attempt, I passed them twice despite my GPS telling me when I'd arrived. Guys! Get a sign on the OUTSIDE of the building. *** Update *** - No more cons! They have a sign! Bottom line: Great people, amazing selection of flavors, good selection of eCigs and equipment. They're my official go-to and the best shop in the city.

GLORY HOLES COVERED UP AN POLICY IS ONE PERSON PER BOOTH, SEEMINGLY STRICTLY ENFORCED. OK, to be fair this is an above average adult shop if you are looking for basic adult video store no arcade. However, my review is really in regards to its video arcade. No glory holes, no buddy booths, and it seems owner is actively discouraging gay cruising activity, which from a business standpoint is financially foolish, especially considering they could easily charge ten to twenty dollars for arcade access and let consisting adults have adult fun, but instead there is only one person per booth, no glory holes, no buddy booths, and basically no fun, and signs read violators will be asked to leave. It seem to be a strict policy, which is odd considering this is an adult shop with an arcade. Actually, it seemed like they did have glory holes in the past and for some fiscally irresponsible reason they covered them up. Its a shame when adult shops can't be adult shops, its like taking a great porn muting it, censoring the nudity, and not showing the money shot. Honestly, the shop would do better using the space for something other than an arcade, maybe fantasy and fetish adult costumes or something, because the arcade is a big dud. But all is not lost there are plenty of other adult bookstores in IL that have open glory holes and are great for gay cruising such as Ram, Bare Assets, Star ship Video, and of course Steamworks to name few, just sucks to not be able to have one nearby.

I was getting less than 1 ml cbd cartridges that deans making a killing on. He makes 30 plus of these for 10 bucks each from a bottle of koi. I must make myself very very clear here that CHRIS the manager is a very nice and helpful person. If it was Chris only I don't think this would have turned out the way it did. I needed something more financially reasonable so I wanted to get the whole bottle of cbd with a refillable vape. The girl quoted me 79.99 for the juice and so did Dean when I went in there and then I went back that weekend and dean charged me 89.99 for the koi juice. He told me Joytech was the "best vape device on the market" That night the coil burnt out. Next day I went back and was asked if I left it in my purse and I explained I didn't and then was told that the flavor I got, pink lemonade had a burnt taste when vaping. If Dean didn't tell me that was his biggest seller, I would have waited for a better flavor to come. Needless to say I was back there every other day. I did ask Chris what it meant when it flashes and he said you're holding the button down for too long and it's a protector to not over heat. Well that button would blink after 3 seconds or 5 seconds etc. i assumes it was the coil connection was bad because it blinks 4 times when that's happening. I didn't have the time to explain all that to Chris. He was so nice and even gave me a fidget spinner to give to my daughter. I feel bad this all happened at this place because Chris was always nice to me. I had this thing for about 5 days and burnt 4 coils out and called Dean and he basically sounded sarcastic AND RUDE and told me that I don't know how to use it and if I can't use it properly I can come in and pick something else out. It was within the 10 days BTW ( their return policy is 10 days if defective) I asked him how much these coils would be since he changed 2 out for free. He misunderstood me and his tone changed and told me that the return policy is if the device was defective but since I don't know how to use it he would charge me for a new piece that I was able to use properly and comfortable with. That's where I realized that this was not the shop for me. He also told me that Chris told him I was holding the button down and it was overheating and blinking taking over ten second rips. Not true. Honestly after the 2 nd coil burnt out I DID tell Chris MAYBE I'm using it wrong. But I was WRONG because 2 more coils after that I did exactly what Dean told me to do and it still burnt out. Dean advised me those coils can sometimes last a day. (After I bought it) If dean told me the 5 dollar could last a day sometimes I would have taken a pass. Upon one of the visits back I told dean the flavor of the juice sucks and he smiled and laughed. It wasn't funny when I gave him 90 bucks for the oil and he said how that was their top seller. The girl said that one has a campfire taste When vaped. (Which it wasn't it was the coil tasting burnt after 3 rips ) I emailed Joytech and was told that this model is not for sweet e juices and that cbd is not recommended for it. They also said the device sounds defective and I should have the retailer take a look at it. I went to a few other shops and was told they don't even sell those ego aio because they are older models and that wasn't a good product and I showed them how I used it and they said I wasn't doing anything wrong and that if the coils burnt out as fast as they did, that the shop owner should have realized it's defective instead of blaming me. I found a shop with substantially lower prices on the cbd which I was a little turned off when dean tells me it's 79.99 and rings me up for 89.99. I called the next day and the girl told me she'd talk to the owner and call me back and I had to go in because I didn't get a call back and guess what the coil burnt out AGAIN. Deans tone of the last call I made to him was such a turn off and represented his shop in a negative manner. Chris is nice to the people and really should open his OWN shop. He wasn't coming out with these wild stories of having patients vaping in hospital beds and feeling zero pain because he went and spoke to the doctors and they took HIS advice for pain management. Dean does make it a point to remember names but loses patience when things don't go right. You can see he negativity thru the fake smile. I read other reviews about him how nice he is until you're unhappy. I really feel like he profiles people. Nothing is priced. He told me $42 bucks on the joytech rang me up for $34. I said are you sure this is the right one because you told me it was $42 dollars he's like no I never said that. Chris provided top notch service to us and any other vape shop would be blessed to have him. Like I said I hope he opens his own shop ! I got a better device and it's been a week and I haven't burnt a coil. I really think dean is just a sales person. read more

Avoid this place. The owner I believe he is the owner tries selling you the most expensive thing and acts like you're stupid when you tell him that's not what you want. I went with what he had because he offered a discount and had a friend call for pricing and he actually quoted less than what I got it for. Went down the street at a place with a tasting bar and guess what Their prices were substantially lower. Got the same e Juice I was quoted 16.99 for 30 ml for 13.00 for 100 ml. Same juice. I called and a very unpleasant girl informed me all sales are final. It was leaking and she referred me to the manufacturer. A nearby place actually switched it out for me and told me they'd deal With the manufacturer. This place seems cool at first till a problem arises. I also bought a few gummies that were hard as a rock and was told that they were supposed to be like that. I bought the same ones at a gas station and they weren't. I wanted to like this place. The owner was pretty creepy to be honest. He tells stories and starts hollering at the top of his lungs and blows vape hits into your face while he's talking to you. You don't know to stand there or move from his cloud ... it's the strangest thing I've experienced. read more

Watch out for this place!!! The owner Dean thinks he's a Doctor. Dropping all theses name of doctors in Greece. WTF does Greece have to do with CBD in the United States. If your gonna drop facts please drop facts that people can look up with laws and regulations in the United States NOT a different country. THIS GUY IS NOTHING BUT A SNAKE OIL SALES PERSON!!! This guy sold us a old model devise that 3 different companies said that its old. We went back 5 times in 1 week with problems with the devise. As a business owner myself I would have replaced the DEFECTIVE devise. Dean never once offered that. He takes your money and runs. The owner of I Vape Bar only cares about how much money he can stuff in his pocket. I'm so glad we went to his competitor and purchased a new devise. He was trying to sell us on because of him cancer patients in 6 different hospitals are vaping CBD in their hospital beds and feeling ZERO pain... Now if this was true and we all know it's the biggest BS Statement. Hey Doctor Dean don't you think if this was true the Hospitals would give cancers patients CBD threw an IV!!! GOOD LUCK DOCTOR DEAN YOUR NOTHING BUT A BS USED CAR SALES PERSON LIKE LARRY FROM THREES COMPANY!!!! read more
