This lady really is a class act See original review below: Let me start by saying that the prices displayed on the website are absolutely fictitious. Secondly Judi was very short and rude in her correspondence as soon as I began asking clarifying questions. I requested a quote for one of the most simple designs on her website, from a page that stated that an 8" cake will serve up to 25 people and begins at $54.99. I've attached the picture from the website for reference. All I asked to be changed was the color of the accent icing from blue to pink and silver to gold. When she responded she quoted an initial quote of 20 servings at $75 and 30 servings at $95 (on the website a 10" cake serves up to 38 and starts at $76.99). When I inquired as to why the price jumped $20 she only responded with "My pricing is based on added decorative details that are added to the cake. Please advise." ... okay... so I confirmed we were talking about the same cake and then asked how much it would be without the bottle and pacifier, literally the only two pieces of decoration. She said to subtract $10 from her quotes, again not trying to explain anything. Just very short and rude. So basically, a plain iced cake is $10 more than the quote on the website. I wonder what type of product you would get for the actual price on the website, perhaps simply the cake batter? I'm so sick of businesses gauging their customers for every little thing. I went to the his quant bakery and bought a dozen cup cakes. I took them home and my family loved them!!! I went back several times for more cup cakes. My 3 yr old grandson not only ate the frosting but loved the cake too. My daughters wedding reception was 4/25/15. I ordered her cake with 4 dozen cupcakes. We had the lemon for one of the layers of cake. The cup cakes were strawberry,baileys Irish cream, chocolate and more lemon. Everyone loved them. The cake was beautifully decorated. My daughter loved it. The guests said the frosting tasted so light and not so sweet. The cake was so moist. All around we were very, very pleased. I will go back!!!! They are truly artists. IMPC did an awesome job with our daughters first birthday cake. My daughter had a unicorn themed party Labor Day weekend. Had tons of cake ideas from Pinterest. We were able to bring a few cake ideas together into one perfect cake. We choose strawberries cake with strawberry buttercream icing. We also had white chocolate drippings because of the holiday weekend we had to keep the cake refrigerated at home from 3 days. Which was not a problem at all. Took the cake out the morning of the party and it was room temperature and still moist and delicious. I will be using them again for future events. read more

Ordered cookies for my son's 2nd birthday party (he's not a cake fan). So easy to work with, and fair prices. I explained that my son was having a train-themed party and that I wanted 2 dozen cookies. My order was ready exactly when I was told it would be. It's been a while. If you have seen my previous reviews you know that I am all about the cupcakes. Somewhere in there Milwaukee Cupcake Co (MCC) disappeared and left me wanting. In 2014 I was able to try some of these creations at a wedding I attended. Location: It'z my party is on the corner of 53rd and Bluemound. There is a parking lot to the north of the building that has a few spots (8?) and street parking The product: I have been galavanting around eating cupcakes on the daily. It's a nice little sweet treat for me. When I first had them in 2014 it was no exception. The different flavors allow the bakers to be creative but also put forth a superior product. I've been here a number of times over the last year. Always moist, dense cake. The frosting.... i don't know how else to say "It's awesome". I am sure if this was on triple D Guy would talk about these cakes being Capital T "Tasty" and riding a river of frosting to flavor town with Mayor McFrostbottom. Its what I am looking for in a cupcake. Prices that make sense (MCC was on the higher end) while coming at a good size. The Customer Service: The people that work here are down to earth and friendly. In my mind if I was to create the quintessential bakery I would imagine the banter would be just like this. Personal and friendly. They get to know you and treat you as such. It's worth noting that I have mostly interacted with the two gals there but it's 5/5 on this alone. You can tell that they love their craft. They love being creative and coming up with various cakes and other sweet treats and they do so at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend popping in when you can. I mean you (the reader) happen to have tastebuds and these creations have a taste that I would truly say is fantastic. Treat yourself or your kids or your friends... but mainly yourself. Judy is an excellent party host and teacher for the kids. We had eight 10 year olds totally engaged. They were having a blast learning the secrets to making a cake. She was a patient teacher and I never seen so many younger kids so quiet in an activity. If you are looking for a unique party to host for kids, this is it. This place is adorable! The staff is very nice also. I would go more often if I was in need of cupcakes and treats more, but I'm not so I've only been there twice. I love their coffee, and the cupcakes are very cute. They are a bit pricey but I am not too familiar with the prices of cakeries. I looked at the cake pricings and they are pretty pricey also, but maybe they are big? I am not sure. So, it is a very nice, quaint, small business with many yummy things to buy. :) read more

Picked up my son's cake on a Sunday and during the party, as we cut into it, we realized there was NOT any "fresh strawberries" inside the cake like we requested. Also I get that you cannot get a cake to be exactly perfect, but the cake had white marks(that some tried to wipe away, but failed) and finger prints. Very disappointed as they had 1 month ahead to get the order right. We will definitely not be coming to this place ever again and DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. read more

We live in right down the block from this little gem of a place - we have been there more times than we care to count :) We have tried the cupcakes, the cake pops, and the mini-brownie bites - all delicious! This cake shop is amazing. Fresh variety of cupcakes (12 in their case to choose from exactly!!), beautiful cake designs, staff was friendly and knowledgable, and they have the best ham and rolls in the city. Will definitely be back for their all natural buttercream that tops their delicious and moist cupcakes and cakes, which has a pound of REAL BUTTER!!! in each batch. They offer a sample of their freshly made buttercream if you've never had it before, which was really nice. Will be back soon to get ham & rolls and more delicious treats! read more

Don't use this place for your wedding! They don't stand behind their work! I used them for my wedding cake and cupcakes. The wedding cake was beautiful and perfect. Also tasted good. The cupcakes were completely not what I ordered - not even close. After the wedding, I complimented them on the flavor of the cake and cupcake and the decoration of the cake, but then told them I was disappointing in the cupcake decoration. Their response? "it was an oversight from one of our decorators as to the exact placement of the non-parels on the cupcakes. Even though this was an over sight, it did not adversely affect the product that was provided to you, and we did still provide decoration on your cupcakes." Really? The cupcakes weren't anything like what I ordered but that did not adversely affect the product??? They offered me a whopping $5 refund. I told them to keep it! When I said I would not be posting positive reviews about their business, they replied with this: "As far as your reviews go, if you can live with the fact that you will be leaving erroneous information and nothing but pure lies in your reviews about us, all I can say is karma is a bitch! Let me also point out, if you lie about the facts, and spread erroneous information about my company online, or in any other medium, I hope you have yourself a good attorney, because I will not hesitate to prosecute. I do have, and will keep all communications, order information and the like on file." I keep all emails too. Everything said is the absolute truth. Nice person! read more

Judi and her amazing crew of cake artists have done a beautiful job on cakes for both of my daughters' birthday parties. For my oldest daughter, we had a spy theme and Judi came up with a beautiful and mysterious briefcase cake that was loaded with spy equipment (including a totally realistic looking magnifying glass!) and she even replicated the spy ID cards that I had made for the kids at the party with my daughter's information. And not only did the cake look incredible, but it tasted great too - we were so happy! More recently, my youngest had a Plants vs Zombies themed party and they came up with a super cool cake that looked like one of her favorite plants (the Super Squash) as well as an assortment of adorably frightening cake pops in a variety of the characters from the game. These are genuinely beautiful pieces of art that add to any celebration and then cap off the festivities with a delightful dessert. I have stopped in before and picked up some of their flavored cupcakes and buttercream cakes for guests being over and am always amazed at how moist and flavorful the cake is! This was my favorite new cake shop when I discovered they served real cream cheese icing, but then suddenly they stopped and the woman who called me back was very rude stating she was "disturbed" by my email and that I already tasted the cake so no refunds or exchanges were possible. I totally misunderstood the attendant thinking she was new and I had told her to check my past orders to make sure to provide the cake as it was, but apparently they no longer serve the icing, but the cake itself was chalky and dry so for her to be rude like that, I will no longer recommend, back on the hunt for cream cheese icing. read more

I'm glad that others seem to have had a wonderful experience with this bakery, but I had a totally horrible one and will not use them again, ever, and have told all my friends and family to avoid them. I ordered a custom 3D cake for my son's graduation. A cake was the only thing he wanted--no party, no gifts, nothing else--so I wanted it to be a very special cake that represented him and his personality. I communicated with them numerous times through email and three times on the telephone, and they sent me a sketch (although they refused to send a final drawing or anything in color). I paid a total of $408, for the minimum custom cake order. I did NOT get what I paid for. There were important elements missing from the cake, even though they'd been on the drawing and we'd discussed them several times. There were other elements that were completely incorrect. One thing was the wrong color. There was damage to the cake when they delivered it and the work was sloppy--big gaps in something that had been wrapped around the cake (it was a round cake with an edible sheet of a decoration wrapping around it), huge dent in the side of the cake on one side. Holes in the fondant. White streaks through the "chocolate" buttercream--which tasted nothing like chocolate. The cake itself was crumbly and I've made box mixes that were moister and had better flavor. I contacted them, and I had numerous photos and all the email communications we'd had, but they NEVER RESPONDED TO MY MESSAGE. Again, I paid more than $400 to have a custom cake! I expected that they'd at least get it right, and that, for the $40 delivery fee, it would arrive undamaged. Otherwise, I would have picked it up myself and saved the money. I will never, ever, ever get anything from this place again. I'm also reporting them to the BBB. read more

They more than exceeded my expextations! I was looking to order a cake for my baby shower so I scheduled a tasting. I went in for the Cake tasting and they were very accommodating and patient while I chose my flavors. I gave her a budget and she worked with me and helped me choose the right options while still keeping the design I wanted. We ended up doing 4 dozen cupcakes and a mini cake with the theme on it. I mixed and matched cupcake flavors and buttercream flavors, (which is an amazing option to have when having a party and trying to please a bunch of people). I went with combos consisting of yellow, strawberry, chocolate, and banana cupcakes and mocha, vanilla, strawberry and peanut butter buttercream flavors. When the time came to pick everything up I was speechless. The cake was amazing. The theme was perfect, and the level of detail and thoughtfulness they put into the cake was wonderful! They kept my idea but made it better! I got lots of compliments on the taste and design of the cake and cupcakes, and everyone loved them! read more

We visited It'z My Party Cakery on their grand opening weekend . The store has cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, brownies and other treats. Apparently they will sell hot ham and rolls on Sundays. They also offer coffee, milk, juice. Our family was in pursuit of cupcakes. On every family vacation our family visits cupcake shops across the country and we are still in pursuit of a great cupcake shop in our hometown. Their prices are right in line with other cupcake shops, we didn't ask about the pricing of cakes but they are a work of art! Because of our timing, we missed out on some of the more fun flavors but we tried the Tuxedo and the Blonde Bombshell. The Italian buttercream was just as it should be, creamy, smooth, not too sweet (and not gritty or left a coating like some do). The cakes were delicious, delicate and moist. I'm definately a fan and will be back to try more of their other desserts. read more
