I was planning a dinner birthday party for eight and had ordered a pie from another business. I remembered their pies to be large but when I got it, it was smaller than I had remembered and I suddenly was concerned that it wasn't going to be enough for folks to be able to enjoy without having to get only a small sliver. The birthday guy loves all things citrus so my plan was to get a sad grocery store lemon meringue pie to help cover my bases. I was in Brookfield picking up party supplies when I saw Nothing Bundt Cakes and remembered they have an incredible lemon bundt cake. I dropped by without a lot of hope that they'd have one I could pick up on such short notice, but they did! They have multiple sizes from bundtinis that are just a bite or two to their Big Bundt that serves 18. I went for their 'the bundt' size which reportedly serves 8. It was a perfect supplement and most folks at the party couldn't pick between the pie and the cake and chose a small sliver of each and were equally wowed by both! Their cakes are flavorful and moist and just some of the tastiest cakes around without being overwhelmed by frosting. The prices aren't bad. For the size I got, it was 32ish dollars (which I'd paid $40 for the pie, so that felt reasonable!). They have a cute little shop that's neat as a pin and service was lovely as well. Get to it!
