We got to make three different pieces and choose our favorites to keep or buy at the end. It was surprisingly therapeutic and easier than I expected! While the activity was delightfully messy (as clay should be), the studio itself was clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully set up. I especially appreciated the small class size--fewer than 10 people--so everyone got individual attention. Highly recommend!

The main challenge is the layout of the studio. It's pretty tight, with a lot of tables in a limited space. Since you're frequently getting up to grab glazes and tools, it can feel a bit crowded navigating around...especially if the studio is busy. Overall still a fun experience, but the cramped setup takes away just a little from what would otherwise be a really relaxing activity.

I decided to do 2 pieces because you only get charged the fee once and all you had to pay for was the cost of the pieces plus the fee (once). I was able to find all local products without hopping from store to store including honey, candles, baker's chocolate candies, magnets, t-shirts, and so many other amazing Nebraska-made items. Everything is thoughtfully curated, beautifully displayed, and genuinely high quality. The shop itself is adorable and welcoming, and it feels really good knowing that every purchase supports local makers and businesses. It's not very big compared to others I've been in, so I feel their supplies are a bit limited. I mostly do watercolor and their selection is definitely smaller than other places. They also only restock "When they get a chance". So they often have a lot of empty spots that they claim they've places orders for. I don't know, maybe it's true, but their answers are wishy washy at best and always leave me skeptical. Prices tend to be MUCH higher in store than online. They'll give you a bit of a run around about whether the item with shipping from online will be cheaper than buying in store then supposedly give you the cheaper price. Yeah.... calling BS on that for multiple reasons and thru multiple purposes. Staff is a bit hit or miss. There are a few folks there who are great and knowledgeable, but the rest? Eh. he rest literally know NOTHING about their products and really don't seem interested in knowing. Which baffles me a bit. And since they are very clearly not trained in basics (pencil hardness for instance), you have to take anything they say with a grain of salt. This is a place where if you now what you want or need, then you'll probably going to be ok and find something, but perhaps not a specific item. But if you are going for guidance, then you might be in trouble. Thankfully when I started my art journey a few years ago I was close to a Jerry's Artarama and their staff was always on point. I learned a LOT from them.
