We love The Lux and try to attend as many free community events as we can. There are always so many…read moretruly fun activities, and both my child and I enjoy experiencing and learning new ways to make art. If you attend a community event, be sure to also check out the exhibits or follow The Lux online--they feature some truly powerful artwork that's absolutely worth seeing. I also love learning about their artists-in-residence and really appreciate their commitment to diversity and inclusion. A friend gifted my young son a pottery class, and he absolutely loved it. I'd love to attend more classes or the day camps, but they are a bit pricier than other options, so we haven't yet. The Lux truly has a heart for engaging children in the arts. If you're able, please support The Lux! It's such a wonderful, colorful, fun gem for everyone and offers classes in a variety of art mediums, including pottery, drawing, painting, printmaking, jewelry making and more.

Between April 17 and April 25th, 2020, the LUX Center for the Arts has their Annual Art Auction,…read moreand it is LIVE online right now. I am one of the artist in the auction. It is the absolute worse economic time to have an art auction, but the best time to support LUX. This has been the largest fundraiser for LUX in the past. Please visit there website to bid on art. I will be in town the beginning of April 2022 to set up my solo exhibition, which will run for 2 months. See you then!

So sad that such a cute concept is managed by people who aren't interested in the "experience " of…read moretheir business. It was dead at 2pm on a Friday when school is out. We were not greeted upon entering, the green-haired representative engrossed in their phone. I approached her and greeted HER first and said this was our first time in and to please tell us where to start! She said look around, prices are on the piece. Ceramics take 2-3 weeks to get back, the wood projects are same day. Bring a piece up here when you're ready. We picked pieces, ordered milkshakes and added a nice $12 tip up front...paid for them. Rep went back to her phone. I asked if she brings supplies or how it works and she pointed to a section of wall w paint in little takeout sauce cups and a cart w brushes. She said use whatever you need and we clean it up. She never once asked if we needed anything or had any questions. I'm pissed I paid her a $12 tip on the project pieces and milkshakes because she did NOT earn it. Lesson learned there. Not sure if this is a franchise or corp owned chain....but your workers aren't helping your business! I won't recommend or be a repeat customer.
