The main challenge is the layout of the studio. It's pretty tight, with a lot of tables in a limited space. Since you're frequently getting up to grab glazes and tools, it can feel a bit crowded navigating around...especially if the studio is busy. Overall still a fun experience, but the cramped setup takes away just a little from what would otherwise be a really relaxing activity.

Most recently, I was there for a career development and networking event, and it was the perfect setting--creative, vibrant, and welcoming. The owners go above and beyond. They not only allow you to bring in your own food and beverages (a huge plus!) but they also stick around during the event to make sure everything runs smoothly and you have what you need. That kind of support really sets them apart. The space itself is absolutely stunning--full of bold color and personality, but also super versatile. There are a variety of photography backdrops that make it easy to create professional content or just capture fun moments with friends. Whether it's a business gathering, creative workshop, or social celebration, Luli Creative House is a gem in Omaha for hosting something truly memorable.

It's really like watching the Wizard of OZ and then suddenly entering a world of color. The space is vibrant, but not overwhelming or overstimulating, all the colors are pleasing and go well together. There really isn't a spot that isn't instagram-able, or cozy. With plenty of seating from the gorgeous green couch, to the white sofa, to sitting chairs, and tables, this is a space sure to spark creativity. It's a great venue to book for really any occasion. From birthdays, to showers, rehearsals, or photo shoots, Luli has really created a space for everyone.

I knew it was going to be extremely busy (it was) but for a group of young adults we had a ton of fun. The campfire rentals are $150 for a 5 hour time slot on the weekends (5-10pm). If you want to avoid buying a ton of equally expensive food and having a place to yourself to sit, this is the way to go. You can bring it your own food and drinks. My only complaint besides the price is that I wish the time slots were for the entire day. 5 hours is not nearly enough to enjoy the campfire while also checking out everything else Vala's has to offer. Last year we got the food passport but didn't feel like the price didn't offer much of a deal than just buying the items individually, so we skipped on it this year. Some of our food/drink highlights were -witches brew cider -caramel apple parfait -soft pretzels Going to Vala's growing up is truly one of my favorite childhood memories. Perhaps it's the nostalgia that draws me back every year. But there truly is no place like it.

A Nebraska rite of passage, but bring your Disney budget…read more If you live in the Omaha area, visiting Vala's Pumpkin Patch at least once is basically a rite of passage. I hadn't been in a few years, so when they had their annual season pass sale, I decided to grab a weekday pass. Unfortunately, between the crummy weather and a busy schedule, I only made it out once. We arrived around 4 p.m. on a Monday and it was already packed. I can only imagine what the weekends look like. My biggest complaint is the price. Admission is steep, and the food and drink prices are giving Disney World. Cute fall activities, questionable financial decisions. That said, the staff are wonderful, and there's plenty to see and do. The attractions are fine, but nothing particularly mind-blowing. I do enjoy the pig races and all the themed displays, which are fun to wander around and take in. Overall, Vala's is worth experiencing at least once, especially if you're new to Omaha or have kids. I'll probably go back, but I think every other year is enough for me

It was built in 1931 in the Art Deco style and designed by LA architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood. The museum has lots of photographs and examples of materials used that would be a delight for all those interested in architecture. Downstairs was the train depot and where you can go inside and sit in the train cars. Most of the rooms appeared to be part of their permanent collection, but part of the downstairs area has rotating exhibits. The exhibit on display was "The Negro Motorist Green Book" which you may be familiar with if you watched the 2018 film "Green Book." I had a great time at the museum and would return, although check the calendar as I went when the NE SciFest going on and I prefer calmer museum visits. I must say they do a great job with backdrops for the head table and first dance. My only note is that the group that was around 200, was still not at capacity and walking around in the room was a total nightmare. I could barely get around as the photographer, and the guests were dealing with the same. The round tables were cramped as well. I would highly suggest less than 150 people in this venue if you want to be able to move at all! Overall though, great experience. Never met anyone besides servers that worked there, no wedding planner or anything, which worked out but would have been good to have a contact person with the venue incase something was needed as the photographer.
