I received multiple estimates from $150 to $325. Well on the positive side I received a very reasonable estimate from Joseph at All Star Tree Experts for $50. Well I tried calling for three days with no answer and no response I also replied to his text from Yelp with my phone number. Still no response. I would have paid as much as $75. Finally I went to Lowes and purchased a Craftsman electric chain saw for $64 plus tax. It was the cheapest they had. The first cut at the bottom of the stump took no more than 45 seconds. Then cutting the remaining roots took about 3 or 4 minutes. Done, complete. Now that I have a chainsaw I would gladly do 5 minutes work for $50 or $60 for someone else. I don't necessarily mind if he changed his mind but at least reply. All the other estimates were ridiculous but at least they were honest up front.
